Buddhists?

I've been told I look like a Buddha sitting in the sweat lodge.

From when I was a Boy Scout:
" . . . without reference to race, colour or creed . . ."

I'm interested in Buddhism.

Sorry, sweet, my first reply was frivolous.

Yeah - I really did used to be a Buddhist.

Simply HAD to put that out there after James f**ing Johnson dropped his usual load of crap into the thread.

Although if I was still a practising Buddhist I guess that kind of thing would not get to me.

It was never there to begin with.

It's not all that well known, but the internal styles of Kung-Fu are based upon Zen Buddism. If you practice an internal style of Kung-Fu, you are at least peripherally involved in Zen Buddism.
Even many of the external styles also involve themselves, to some extent, with Zen Buddism.
Thus, the question, "Are you a Buddist?" is not a simple one.

You claim to have an education but every post you make belies that claim....Buddhist monks did indeed develop the martial arts of karate, kung fu, and some significant derivatives....R.R. has it right and you just need to read his posts and learn if them hardened arteries will let ya....

I got into Buddhism while I was in jail forty-some years ago. Jail is the perfect environment for renouncing your possession. :D When I got out, I forgot all about Buddhism and started amassing possessions.
