Has anyone ever tasted this shit? If the flu doesn't kill me, the medicine will.

*cough*

Doesn't anyone care that I'm dying here?:(

We do Annie, get some Irish or Canadian whiskey and kill that bloody flu from the inside! (1/2 a bottle should be enough, and if it doesn't kill the flu at least Mr Annie will get lucky!!  :rose: )

Oh good. Now I'm sick AND drunk. But it also makes being sick a whole lot drunker.

I spiked my tea. It seemed a bit more civilized than just drinking the booze. I have my reputation to preserve you know. (or is that my liver?)

Thanks Oz.

*sniff*

"Created in Toronto in 1919, the largest size bottle of Buckley's Mixture is currently the top-selling cough syrup by volume in Canada. Now Buckley's products are being sold around the world! Buckley's Mixture is sugar-free, alcohol-free and based on herbal ingredients like Pine Needle Oil, Canada Balsam, Camphor & Menthol. No wonder it tastes the way it does... "

Great stuff! It's like drinking tree sap...because it is tree sap.

This is good to know. And here I thought I had licked a tree in my drunken, snotty stupor.:p

Canadians drink tree sap?

Do we ever!

We're sapsuckers from 'way back!

1. You got your Buckey's Mixture...which you now know about.

2. Spuce Beer: Vile tasting boozey crap made from the sap of spruce trees, here's a reference to it from 1775. http://pc-78-120.udac.se:8001/WWW/Nautica/Medicine/Spruce_beer.html

3. Maple Syrup: This, I hope, you've heard of. Our National Tree has much sweeter sap than the Balsam Fir or Spruce.

Haven't you people seen the commercials, where Mr. Buckley says: "It tastes awful, and it works"?

Sheesh..:D

Hello fellow NSer.

Yes I've seen the commercials and I thought they were exaggerating wimps. Then I tried it.:p

I think tree sap would be preferable.
