No, the kids didn't overflow the washing machine with Mr. Bubble again. They set the house on fire the other day, but they haven't discovered my self-pampering supplies yet.

I was thinking, while blowing bubbles for the kids and cat to chase earlier, about bubles. So delicate and beautiful, so iridescent and shining in the light-
and then they go *pop* and vanish into air.

Lately, a lot of my life is bubbles. So beautiful, so fragile, and if you touch it, it vanishes. Thoughts, ideas, love, lust, infatuation, friendships, oppurtunities- it's all passing so quickly. I'm missing more than I'm seeing, seeign so much that I missed, and I'm losing track of them everytime the wind shifts. Just like the bubbles that floated off into the sun.

So, out of curiousity, what are your bubbles? What story did you start to blow into being, and it popped and fizzled out like a dying firecracker? What oppurtunity did you let drift too far to catch? What did you grab at too quickly and it vanished?

Come on, help me not feel like such a depressive little dork, lol!

I've had a few stories fizzle away after the first few chapters, a few (RL) relationships that didn't last much longer than a few months, friendships that were scattered to the winds, etc.

You're not a depressive little dork.
Big one maybe, but not a little one. :D

You make me smile.

This has nothing to do with your question--but I recommend that you avoid the cat/bubbles combo. We once blew bubbles for our cat and, of course, she loved it, chased them popped them...and nipped at them with her teeth, and licked the stuff off her paws....

She got a really bad case of diarrhea :(

Soap bubbles are no good for cats.

Littlefoot adores soap bubbles. He'll get all four paws of the ground jumping to snap at them. It is a good idea for the human to make sure the bubbles are well away from said human's face, as Littlefoot SNAPS his teeth down on the bubbles as he catches them.

Cute and scary!

Lion-looking dog.

Glad I make someone smile, lol. I'm banging my head against walls over here. And the children are plotting ways to commit a mass mutiny and murder me- I made them clean their rooms. I'm a meanie head. :(

That's the kind I have... and since kitten has been a bit backed up, I doubt a little soap will hurt her.

That's happening in my new story. Lady C. is helping me with it (my first time working with her; I'm so excited). The first chapter was so easy and so good (several people have told me), but the rest of it is ????? I'm hoping she can work some magic and get me back on the right course. It's such an interesting story to me, I'd hate to screw it up.

The easiest one was my romance story. It practically wrote itself. Unfortunately, none of the others were like that. Every one has been rewrites and people offering opinions and more rewrites . . . The results have been good, but I'm already feeling a little burnt out after 4 completed stories (so maybe I'm the bubbles, Falling ;) ).
