So, how do you tend to your bodies need for cleanliness?

Bubble Bath?
Long Hot Shower?
Salt Water Soak?
Case of little lemon scented wet-naps?
Sand Blast?
Extra Strength Deodorant?
Cold Shower?
What Need?
Spit?
Call "here kitty kitty kitty"

Let us - let us all.

I take a long hot bath every night. That's jsut for basic cleanliness (washing arm pits and stuff), and pain relief. My hair is really dry, so I only need to wash it two or three times a week (and that's even with leaving the conditioner in my hair). I don't wash my hair in a bath - I always do it in a shower cause it gets cleaner. I also shave in the shower, also cause it's impossible to wash shaving cream off in dirty water.

Usually I take long...hot showers (if the water makes my skin red then it's hot enough :p )

When I need to destress I light candles...burn incense...put on some soft, relaxing music...and soak in a hot bath (till the water gets cold)...but I can't do bubbles since I'm allergic to damn near everything...

I've been in hot tubs cooler than my baths. LOL

Long...hot...shower. Which I desperately need right now, nearly every muscle is tense. Alas, I may be having a good hard cry in there too, which is why I'm waiting till my roommate isn't in the other stall.

I'm totally the dirty hipie of the group.
I shower every 2 to 3 days unless i'm gettin some. it's normally a fairly short warm shower. I camp a lot and have done trips to arid regions where water was valuable.
water on, wet self,
water off, lather hair, lather loufa, scrub body and face,
water on, rinse,
water off apply conditioner and shave,
water on, rinse,
water off.

Unless there's something extenuating, like extra sore muscles, an outbreak, the need to cry, or shaving my legs, I'm a quick shower. I used to use ivory dish detergent for everything (face, hair, body). At least i stopped that, but i still use my body wash as face wash.

I loves me some bubble baths with my cucumber-mint bubbles. They're mostly for reading, though, and not for washing. My second favourite is showering at the gym, because I'm a huge perv and like being naked in public/seeing other women naked... and they have way better water pressure than I do. Also excellent is sitting in the tub and letting the shower run on me and playing with the extra water coming out of the tap... this is more of a drug activity.

I wash my hair and body pretty much every day, invariably so when I'm working full-time, but I have been known to get lazy during the school year and just swipe at my armpits with a wet washcloth before going out.

at school i take hot showers (as hot as i can possibly stand them). there is no bathtub here. at home i take both showers and baths, always center of the sun hot (sometimes i get in while its just regular hot and then let it fill up the rest of the way with tthe hottest water that will come out) but i always wash my hair in the shower, never the bath

Shank, you are making me miss my old tub*. :(

claw feet? did it have claw feet?

I just love an old deep long tub I can stretch out in, and put my foot over the overflow and fill it with hot water up to the very very tippy top rim and just melt away....

Nope, no claw feet... and it listed ever so slightly to the right, because the marble floor had sunken slightly from the weight of the tub, but I'd do the same thing- put my foot over the overflow and fill it to the tippy top.

(I miss my tub :( )

Hot shower for cleanliness.

A hot bath is reserved for times when I really need to relax. It's a guilty pleasure of mine to soak in a tub with salts and tons of bubbles, reading a book and sipping wine or nibbling on dark chocolate with soft jazz or classical playing in the background.

I usually have my Bath Butler draw me a nice long soak in Aveda sheep dip .

Do we have le cirque here.........pfffffffffffffft

Oh, we used to have a clawfooted tub. *sigh* Someday, when I'm rich and have my dream house, I'm gonna have a claw footed tub again.

LOL You're so bad. :p

Ew, by the way.

Lukewarm shower every day.

Sauna and cold shower 3 times per week at gym. :cathappy:

Jacuzzi 2 or 3 times at month. :D

LOL, washing...OK. Love a bath, deep, hot as I can bear it which these days isn't too hot as I begin to feel faint and stay that way for hours....but as much as I love baths, I usually restrict myself due to environmental habits. I occasionally add bubbles if I am feeling optomistic about getting away with it without a huge allergic reaction.....often wash off quick afterward as extra insurance. So that leaves me with showers every day, quick, to the point with the occasional bath. LOL, we have a mini tub at the moment until we finish the bathroom renovation, so that is not as big a drawcard anymore. We sometimes spoil ourselves and go away for a weekend making sure they have a huge bath we can get in together and enjoy the luxury of. I don't use soap as I am allergic to them, so use a soap alternative from Oz which is supposed to also be better on the skin in the long term. I wash my hair under the shower or tap over the sink, and try to keep it to 2-3 times a week.

I also never ever wash my face with soap (not that I can use soap anywhere on my body), nor have I since about 13 years of age. I cleanse and use a toner, then moisteriser and in the last few years, an extra heavy type of skin conditioner which holds back the years a little. LOL, when I was working, my clients used to find it difficult to believe I was old enough to be a grannie...my mother has now begun using the same treatment I use (Loreal), and she has had people comment on the difference in her skin and how her wrinkles (she's 81) are disappearing, and they weren't aware she was doing anything special or different. :cathappy:

This is an odd little thread. Not only that but I see that most are focused on the outside of the body. What about the inside which I tend to regularly. I drink a gallon of aloe vera drink weekly, douche twice weekly and take a full cleansing enema once a week with smaller salt water ones if there is to be anything anal going on. I take antioxidants daily and try not eat anything which will stay with me for too long, such as red meat.

Now for the outside...the usual I guess. I shower or bathe, primp, shave and tweeze daily. I wash my hair every other day and look at all of my clean panties that I am no longer allowed to wear.
