Other than cold compresses.. how do you get rid of bruises? This looks horrible, and looks worse than what these pics show..

Had my wisdom teeth removed on Monday and the surgeon was a little brutal on my cheeks.

I go into public wearing my sunglasses and people look at me with pity like I've been beaten... hence I don't go out much.

That's right...I forgot. Sorry, it looked like someone beat the holy crap out of you and I thought we'd all have to form a gang or something.

Okay, all I know is ice...and time....but after the first 24 hours, I believe the ice is of no consequence...so...wait it out, as much as that sucks.

I can on ly think of putting some ice on your cheeks.

That looks very painful.

You need to rub the area where the bruises are they will disapear after a while. Not in one day mind ya' but it will go away. The blood is traped just under the skin & rubbing it will make it dissolve back into the fatty tissue in your cheeks. He was very rough with you by the way sorry hun . :(

Well, y'all can form a gang and beat him up anyways.. but he was kinda cute.. and very sweet.. so I kinda forgave him for doing this. Especially considering I paid him to do it, lol..;)

I iced my face for the first 2 days, mostly because of the swelling, but today I didn't and the bruises seemed to have gotten darker.

This sucks, I have to go back to work this week with this face. Yuck.

It's okay freaky.. I'm just kinda of wondering if the cold packs are pointless now.

And I'm a little worried about going back to work, I know people will be staring.. and these are definitely not going to be covered by makeup.

I know all to well about being stared at by people. Just try to ignore it.

Hang a sign around your neck that says "If you think I look bad, you should see my boyfriends wife" ;)

lmao.. yeah, that just might work.. 'cept that would make me sound kinda bad.. my boyfriend's wife? lol.. oh well.

Ouchie...makes me feel SOOO grateful for the surgeon I had. My sisters and I all had the same surgeon and didn't even have swelling. I had him do mine awake (I have a thing with being put under) and he was so fast ther wasn't much time for tissue damage.

You should take a couple more days off, find someone to pamper you a bunch and get better. Wish I had some magic treatment ideas but I'm drawing a blank.

Take care of yourself first. What people think, that's not your concern.

oh you are right.. ok change wife to boyfriend;)

After the first day ice is usless, it even slows healing.

Light dose asprin and soft massage, vitamin E some times helps.
Warm, not hot, packs may also help. None will be quick. The best that you can hope for would be four or five days.
