One of my all time favorite incest stories has a similar idea. The father is single, probably by divorce, an alcohol abuser, relatively dead beat. The brother is relatively straight laced and is trying to make his way in the world to get out of the cycle his father is in. Sister is a twin, or younger sibling. Dad becomes gradually more sexually aggressive towards her. The brother gets caught up as a defender and begins to identify himself as a protector at first and eventually as a competing entity for his sister's sexual attention.

Of course, the difficulty with a story like this is being able to make the twists and turns that lead to this result seem natural (albeit slightly unhealthy) and not forced.
