Why don't they do re-runs of Benny Hill?

Is the "Young Ones" still in production? I loved that show, used to be on MTV.

Don't need to say anything about Monty Python, or Fawlty Towers. Two of the best shows ever.

I have always sort of had the hots for the blonde on Absolutely Fabulous.

Why is it that we love Mr. Bean, but don't have a clue who Black Adder is?

Thank God for BBC America.

Ah, it's a pity you only get BBC. You're missing out on Ali G, Spaced, Father Ted 'n' lots of other stuff.

Benny Hill was my absolute all time favorite ( Damn I miss him. Why did he have to die? That was VERY inconsiderate of his fans don't you think?) ;)

Monty Python was hard to beat as well.

There are several ones on now that are wonderful. I really Brittas Empire right now.

Haven't seen a Benny Hill rerun in serval years now that you mention it. Wonder why.....?

benny hill was taken off tv in the 80's by the political correct brigade for being sexist , a new york cable tv station made a few after that .
benny died a broken hearted man
the crusade to get him off tv was started by a left wing commedian called ben elton , he attacked benny to make a name for himself . elton was then attacked by billy connolly for trying to censor humour , connolly arguing that the only rule in comedy is that it should be funny , regardless of the topic.
ben elton has proceeded to now write material that is very similar to all he despised in benny hill . after bennys death there was a rennaisance in his work and he is now revered as a comedy genius

i cannot get enough of goodness gracious me

i don't think i've laughed soooooooooooooooo hard in my life when that show cums on:D

I didn't know that! Benny Hill WAS a comedic genius. That man used to make me laugh so hard I'd damn near stop breathing. He was one of the few human beings that I would have traveled cross country to see in a live performance. I loved his work THAT much.

I don't get some of the shows mentioned in the above postings and others I do. I REALLY love British comedy.

Long may they make us smile! :)

you're such a smee.. a smee.. a smeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeee!

(my vote goes for the crimson short one)

"Black Adder"

*I've got a plan so cunning, you could pin a tail on it and call it a...........*

Ok, who knows the end of that one? :)
