Brief Question

I am currently working on a novel, and I have about 70 published book sized pages done. I'm at a crossroads because of where I am in life. The setting of my book is the Black Forest of Germany. It is highly unsettled and the inhabitants are set way back into the past where things like torture and bondage are common place.

My question is this. I have briefly mentioned bondage, and implements thereof but should I write it about in detail? Include a couple of bondage scenes or should I leave all of this out?

Depends on your target audience -- are you writing juvenile historical, Romantic Historical, Horror, or what?

Write the scenes and when you go back to edit you can always delete them if it seems like they're just gratuitious sex -- if they don't help the flow of the story, then they don't belong.
