Russian troll farms such as the Internet Research Agency have pushed the theory that the US weaponization of the dollar's reserve currency with economic sanctions is the main reason for the existence of the BRICS coalition and the primary motivation for dedollarization.

This theory is becoming increasingly popular on MAGA message boards and with MAGA podcasters, bloggers and other MAGA content creators. Some now believe this theory will be used by the US administration to remove Russian economic sanctions if they are unable to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine. It's not soon, it's been on going for awhile. Russian propaganda is a staple diet on fox, breitbart, Newsmax and other "news" programs. The yellow journalism sites.
