Breast Bondage: Who uses tape?...

...Hello again, all. I've got a super-quick "equipment" question here with regards to Breast Bondage. I've met someone who seems very interested in rope play, in particular tying up and restraining her breasts. I was wondering if anyone has thought of using something along the lines of Fabric Tape (also commonly known in Canada as Hockey Tape) which doesn't have an overly adhesive surface. I figure you can get some really nice results with that as opposed to rope or nylon cord. Anyone else used the same or something similar? If so, would you recommend it for someone still a novice at tying difficult knots? :)

I have no experience with breast bondage but the tape sounds like it could be great. I do know there is bondage tape that only sticks to itself and not to flesh. A friend of mine loves that stuff. Hey! Come to think of it, I'm not sure what she has used it for. We need to talk!

Hmmm, speciality Bondage Tape? I have to admit I haven't heard of it until now. I would imagine almost any type of low-strength adhesive tape would be adequate, but and suggested Fabric/Hockey Tape because it doesn't stick very well to skin, but still has a bit of adhesion and sticks to itself really well.

Bondage Tape?....Have to see where I can find some now. :)

That's what the picture is of...the tape that only sticks to itself. Im not into breast bondage, but bondage in general is very high on my list. I don't have any of this tape, because I like the quicker kind of bondage i/e/ handcuffs, shackes, velcro etc.

But, I also like ropes and they usually take some time, so I can see where this tape would be very good for even general bondage. And, it's reusable, too. I can see how this tape would work quite well, for the most part. You could even make it look stylish, like some of that Japanese rope tying, if you're the creative type.

I have velcro strips for quick bondage. I buy the large construction grade stuff, that's about 50 feet long and two inches wide. Then, I take the sticky sides and put them together so I have one long strip make from both sides of the velcro. This makes it so you can quickly wrap around someone, and because it's two inches wide, it's not possible to get out of.

Oh, to be nice, you should make sure to put the soft side against your sub's body. They will thank you greatly for that. But, if you wish to be very mean...and I mean very mean...put the rough side against their skin. They will say OUCH!

I have different lengths for different things and when not in use, I have them rulled up and out of the way, in my bag. NOTE: It's best to roll them up with the soft side out, becuase the other side tends to stick to things like clothing, carpets and even some rope.

Now, as to wheather this would work for tits? I don't know. I'd think it might be best to try the thinner version of velcro for that. Like i said, it comes in very long lengths, and once you've put the two parts together, you have a very nice reusable product for bondage.

I say use the thinner kind because you will then see more of the bound tit. I'm sure you could use the wider kind, but unless the tit is quite large in the first place, all you'll have is a bunch of velcro and a couple nipples showing.

Well, that might not be too bad, at that.

Try reusable bondage tape. It's a couple inches wide and it sticks to itself without sticking to the hair or skin. Since it adheres to itself, it doesn't get tighter once it's on. Comes in red, black and nude. Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks for all the help, guys! I was thinking about usually generic velcro strips as well, but haven't found anywhere in the area that sells them as far as I know. I suppose I can hit up a local Home Depot or Home Hardware store to see if they might have any.

I'm mostly interested in the quick and easy route with regards to BDSM equipment. The less time I spend fussing with knots the better, as far as I'm concerned. :D

You usually find velcro in haberdashery stores...places that sell material, zips, cotton, all things needed for making clothes. Can usually get it in black or white, nude if your lucky, and other colours if real lucky. Have fun.

I have a couple sets of home-made cuffs using velcro. I happened into a massive quantity of velcro one time and I have to say I really like using them. I like that I can attach whatever length of rope I choose to suit the purpose.

Home Depot is where I get mine. They have white and black. They have the 2 inch wide and I don't know for sure what the thinner one is...about 1/2 inch or so, I'd guess. But, both come in long lengths and you can use as long lengths or cut to preference.

I like to put the two sides together then cut into various lengths for various uses. For what you have in mind, you might want longer lengths, but remember, velcro sticks to itself quite nicely, and so you can get fairly involved with it.

Bondage tape is fine, too. Velcro will get tangled in hair, sometimes, where bondage tape won't. Depending on the sub's hair length, you might need to think about that.

I/m the same about velcro. I usually get a box of 25 feet or 50 feet and use it as needed. The box is also a kind of dispencer so you don't have a bunch of velcro laying around sticking to everything.

I cut to different lengths, for what I want to do. It's also possible to have a two inch band around each of the sub's wrists, and then a quick strip around both wrists will be all that's needed to secure them together or to whatever you want. Velcro is a great product.

The only thing I don't like about it is you need to toll it upon itself for storage. If you don't, you will have a tangle of the longer strips that you need to pull apart every time you need some. but, with a little routine after play (and you can have the sub do that busy work :D), it then packs away in your bag without any problem.

And, if you prefer bondage tape, you have to do the same with it, if you want to use it again. I see reasons for having both forms of quick bondage, if you don't want to spend the time restraining, but want to spend more time with a restrained sub instead.

Incidently, saran wrap is quite enjoyable, with such things. Although it isn't quick, I've used it for whole body bondage and then taken my time cutting holes around the fun parts of the sub's body.

It's fun, when she's laying there all wrapped up with clear plastic wrap...usually gagged...and I bring out a pair of sissors to cut holes for her nipples/tits, pussy/clit and asshole.

I think it would also be good for certain types of breast bondage, too. Or, a combination of this and velcro or bondage tape could be fun. Watch her reaction each time you bring out yet another form of bondage to be used on her...

Saran wrap is quite good at keeping someone trussed up and because it only sticks to itself and cheap enough that you can cut holes to torment and excite with your fingers and...well, you get the idea. :D

One adverse side effect to saran wrap is the sub might sweat if completely bound becuase the plastic doesn't let air in. So, because of that, and because of the excited state your sub will probably be in, you might find long periods of time where the wrap will start to lose it's tight hold on a wet body. But, with a little skill in the use of this wrap, her sweating won't allow her freedom from your control. Of course, she will need to breathe, you know.

Another adverse effect is if the sub has an allergy to it. The effects of that are beyond fun and can last for several weeks and I imagine for some could require a visit to the ER. Been there, done that, would take a lot for me to contemplate going there again.

What are the symptoms of such an allergy. Would it be similar to that of latex? And, are you also allergic to latex?

Not allergic to latex....the reaction was swelling, red rash all over, intense itching and burning, lasted weeks...yuk, just thinking about it makes me itch.

Okay, so I picked up a 12 foot roll of Velcro at the local Home Depot, and I gotta admit, it looks like it will do the trick.

One side is rather soft and gentle on the skin, so there should not be any unforseen scrapes or scratches if I use it right.

Not very good with measurements, but 12 feet sounds like it should be plenty to tie up a nice big pair of tits and torso. :)

Thanks for all the help, guys!

Are you wanting to "wrap" them by going around the whole torso? Or are you wanting to wrap the breast themselves by going around the base?

If you want to wrap the torso, then saran wrap would be the best (cheapest) way to go. Put on a blinfold and use your imagination.

If you want to wrap the individual breast, then look for large elastic bands. Once you get more experience with the wrappings, you can move up to some rope.

Not because of allergies but I would be wary of using saran wrap on someone who does not have this has a fetish.

Being wrapped can cause extreme feelings of claustrophobia and panic attacks.

Large elastic bands can cause breast tissue damage beyond what can be seen on the surface, any breast bondage should allow a gap between the breast an bondage, bands do not allow for this.

I would ask the pyl what she has experienced and her thoughts on what is best to bind her breasts.
I may sound like a prophet of Doom but if you fuck up and use the wrong thing she risks long term tissue damage.

I enjoy having my breasts bound but I am aware there are potenially long term health risks depending what and how it is done.

Just to fill you guys in on a bit a status report...

As I mentioned, I went into the local Home Depot recently and picked up a 12" pack of Velcro. I figured the 12" alone would be okay to cut and use accordingly, but after cutting off about 3" for hands and another 3" for ankles, I ran out of material to finish off strips needed for the torso. I did manage to eventually gerry-rig a quick harness of sorts and was able to do the trick, but I now know I will be needing another roll to finish everything off.

The end result was a lot better than expected and I am most definitely going to pick up another roll of Velcro post-haste. :D
