Politics-based death, so I'm posting it here instead of the GB.
Associated Rory Press, 3/30/25 - After a short-lived existence in online memes and FOX talking points, the phrase "This is what I / we voted for" has died.
"Those who voted for economic progress and `America first' objectives have watched their `king' spend his energy on ruining the economy with astonishingly stupid tariff policies that even White House staff think are batshit crazy, and a foreign policy which, so far, has included taking over Greenland, not solving anything related to the Ukrainian war, and pissing off our best allies while threatening to put our soldiers in conflicts no American wanted to be part of," RoryN, an expert, stated. "And it isn't even April yet."
Asked about the few who still might be trying to keep the popular-for-15-seconds phrase alive, he remarked, "They're the racist cultists whose lives revolve around culture wars - most of them have dementia, or are so driven by their bigotry that not even Trump nuking a megachurch would make them reconsider."
