Two government officials told CNN Friday evening that the classified report the Justice Department delivered to House and Senate investigators does not confirm President Donald Trump's allegations that President Barack Obama wiretapped him during the campaign.

When asked if the DOJ's documents would confirm Trump's as of yet wholly unsubstantiated allegations, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes told CNN, "I don't think so" as he walked into a room to read the report.

Ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, said he was "absolutely confident" the DOJ report would not back up Trump's allegation.

"There's really no question about this. The president's statements before, and his tweets since leading right up today, have no basis in fact," Schiff told CNN.

It will be very hilarious to watch Goebbels twisting into a pretzel to stand by a 100%, patently false statement that the con artist had been surveilled and when asked to provide evidence for the lie say there are still things yet to be seen.

Game over, asshat.

He'll say it's Fake News.

Headline right now on Fox: A hit story on Donna Brazile

Trump's supporters believed (and continue to believe) every lie about Hillary and denied, defended, rationalized every bad thing about Donald.

This election gave me a real understand regarding mass delusion. I now understand how religion got so popular, or at least the dogmas so widely accepted. It's almost breathtaking in its complete embrace of the unreal.

I don't know if Trump is telling the truth or not. If gov. officials say he isn't, they could be covering up illegal activity or they might not know about it. If somebody had asked a gov. official in 1972 whether or not there had been a break in at Watergate, he or she would have said there was not. If the official had been involved, there would have been a denial. If not, the official would not have known about it and would have denied it. Such a wire tap or bug would have been illegal, so it would not have been common knowledge, and there would have been no paper trail. I don't trust any politician to have even a trace of honesty or decency, and that includes The Donald.

At the same time, Trump could be lying or he could be mistaken. :(

Really you get your news from the Crazy Nazi Network and from Obama hold overs?

And we all know that Obama and Hillary Clinton never lied or took money from foreign governments.

Adrina it is a shame that the people made a choice of getting rid of the corruption and liars and incompetent people in Washington. How dare they. I think you should show this country a lesson and move to Cuba. They will give you everything that Hillary would give you if her people got control. I'll help you pack. You don't want to be a "terrible" American living in a "rotten" country. So wave good bye.

We know that Obama never wiretapped any friendly government leaders or used the FBI or IRS or HLS or DOJ as his private police force against Americans.

CNN has never filed any false reports or used their station as a propagandists arm of the leftist. That would be so wrong. That would be like taking Mr. Rachel and MSNBC serious.

The true reporters like Joseph Gobbles and CNN and the NBC would never lie to us. So like blind sheep who worship our true gods Obama and the Clinton's we know what they tell us is the truth. And the truth they tell tomorrow which is 180 out from today's will be the truth also. It's good that leftist puppets have such short memories.

Funny how when the truth comes out the loonies come out to defend the con artist. Every single comment he's made about being "wiretapped" has been shown to be false yet instead of going after the facts the uneducated deplorables either make excuses (Boxlicker) or go after the messenger (urguyscott).

The truth always wins out and this is more evidence of that unassailable fact.

He lied. Get over it. He lied, lied and lied again, and he's going to keep lying because it's the only way he can make himself look good which is all that matters to him. He doesn't care if he succeeds, he only wants people to like him and he'll flip flop back and forth, as he has done throughout his entire life, doing whatever it takes to get the most number of people to like him.

I saw that "hit story." The lady owned up to having providing unethical assistance to Hillary in the debates. It's not a hit story when somebody admits culpability; it's a news item. :(

The shocking thing is he believes his own bullshit!:eek:

The insidious element of Trump's "wire tapp" tweets is not that he was wire tapped--I find it quite logical that he'd be caught up in taps of Russian thugs by being on the other end of the line--but that he accused a former U.S. president of personally ordering that he be directly tapped and went on to call the former president a "bad guy" and "sick." Trump should have his ass pinned to the wall over this unless he can substantiate it. And by pinned to the wall, I'd include it as an element of an impeachment charge. There's plenty of other stuff that can go into it, including probable evidence gathered on his direct relationship with those Russian thugs.

I am constantly reading about impeachment of Trump, as if it were an easy thing to do. It isn't. "High crimes and misdemeanors" are a lot more serious than somebody doing or saying things that other people don't like. There is not a thing the Dems can do, as long as the GOP has such a big majority as they now have in the house. Even if they could, it would be impossible to get 2/3 of the Senate to vote to convict.

As for Clinton's "lying about sex," that is technically true, but he was under oath, which means he committed perjury, and this was part of a case of Sexual Harassment against Paula Jones. This was a much more serious violation of he law than anything The Donald might have done.

The only other impeachment of a POTUS was Andrew Johnson a century and a half ago, and it also failed in the Senate, as it should have.
