i still remember getting my first bra after the training bra thing... my mom didnt originally think to get me an a-cup or sumthin on the small side like that... instead she starts pulling out things she liked.. in something close to her bra size... and telling me to try it on.. so i did, and then she'd get mad because it didnt fit me.. it was one of the weirdest experiences of my life
doesnt matter much anymore anyway... i buy my own bras now.. in a much different size than what my mom would ever think too

my bra size is larger than my mom's right now... she complains cuz she can tell that mine grew and hers dont.. she hates that... and then she says its just not fair because i'm so young and all

When my daughter was 10 (she's 12 now) we were out buying her first bra. i kept having to tell her that she didn't need underwires yet, and if she grows up anyway like me she will never need padding. i finally told her that those were to get a man with and she was too young to be thinking of that. my husband finally just shook his head and walked away.
Buying my daughter her fist bra, and then a few months dealing with her starting her period was horrid. i just don't feel like i'm old enough to have a daughter doing that.

I am dreading the time when my daughter needs one. I was rather on the young (and completly flat chested side) when my mother made me get one. I was just out of the 4th grade. I only saw my mother on weekends, and even then, she was hardly around. I never wore that bra. I hated it. It was probably 7th or 8th grade before I actually started to wear one. And it was one -I- picked, not her.
When Rae is old enough to need one, then I will take her. I sure as hell am not gonna do it like I had it done, and force her into it at an early age.

My first bra was white and had this little bow in the center.
I think my taste has not changed since then, I like shopping for bras, I like the simple pretty ones. I do like colors but I go for light colors... but I do have in black. .. I think every woman has a black bar.
