Branding

Not sure if the tale is much to share, not a lot of sexual tension in a trip to a body modifications parlor.

Over the course of my dabblings in BDSM, I've had a few partners, at different times, who for their own reasons wanted to be claimed by way of a mark. One of them wanted to get branded; of the others, one opted for scarification and the other for tattooing. Each also picked where they would carry the mark. It was certainly sexual in the long run, all three were turned on by the mark to one degree or another.

The scarification was done in a more ritualized manner, in a play party, but by a professional nonetheless. The artist was known to the group to which I belonged and they -the group- all helped to make the act one of submission and possession. But, it was still done by someone experienced and certified in the procedure.

I'm curious, are you wondering if anyone just decided to press heated metal to someone's flesh all on their own? Because, from my perspective, that violates Safe, Sane and Consensual in a number of ways.

There are many things that could be call a "Brand", can you be specific of what you are looking for.

I've done brandings (although they were far from permanent) before using a cold epilator and a laser. They were fun and interesting, but I tend to prefer carefully-applied cutting or scratching as a way of marking property.
