Schlub County is under water after 18 inches of rain was dumped upon it by DEBBY.
Oddly enough the worst flooding isnt at the expected places, the official flood zones are okay. Its the highlands that are in distress. Whazzup!!
What happened is this: Every major road is raised above the land it crosses, and every commercial and public development is designed to retain runoff from overwhelming stormdrains. That is, brainiacs in DC, Tallahassee, and the county seat forced developers to build 1000s of rice paddies.
Our schools and post offices are underwater, virtually all the commercial development is under water, not to mention hospitals, police stations, firehouses, etc. And every square foot of it is high above the Gulf.
Brainiacs & Bureaucrats is a recipe for disaster.
