The show SVU dramatized this and I googled it. It does happen. So I think it would make excellent fodder for an erotic story.
The real life version: A person middle aged man with a normal sexual conduct suddenly starts obsessing about porn, starts making sexual overtures to minors as well as increase in sex demands at home. He gets divorced, reported to the police. After the conviction an MRI is ordered due to symptoms and a brain tumor is found.
Once the brain tumor is removed all of the obsession with sex disappears. In the best know case the person reported that his obsession with porn had returned, and an MRI shows the brain tumor is growing back.
The only fully documented case.
And I've found mentions of other cases where sexual abuse related to this happens. They aren't many and not much info. In most cases the person died of cancer within two years of committing sexual abuse. Judges find it hard to punish a person who already has a death sentence. And injuries to that area of the brain can cause similar behavoir problems.
Using this as fodder for fiction:
NonConsent: Single man having a bad health day. He just happens to be walking by when a single mother with teenage daughter are entering the door to their home. Both are wearing clothing that shows off their bods but otherwise decent clothing. Without understanding what he is doing he rushes the door and rapes both women. Then the man passes out with a horrible headache and is difficult to wake up by the police. He is transported to the hospital were the tumor is found. Insert drama here....
Single woman suddenly develops a huge obsession with watching porn. After a week she lures a decent looking shy mid-teen boy into her home. There she ties him up and rapes him. During the next few weeks the couple continue their affair. While having the affair she starts having mild speech problems and dizziness. Eventually she is diagnosed with brain cancer. The tumor is removed and she has only a smaller interest in sex again. Insert drama here.....
Incest:
Mother rapes family. Shame sex fills the family. After a few weeks the tumor is found, removed. While the mother is recovering the family is able to take a break from the sex. After a serious discussion the family decides to continue with sexual relations. One problem: Mother is now recovered and hates the idea of incest.....
Scifi:
Scientist make a breakthrough. Based on a tumor affecting impulse control, they have developed an implant that is installed into a person's head to increase or decrease sexual impulse control. The implants work much like a pacemaker where they are programmed after the surgery using a paddle that is pressed against the skin nearest to the implant. A scientist manages to install one on his frigid wife without her knowing it. All she comes to understand is every time he presses his palm against her head, her resistance to sexual advances dramatically change up or down for reasons she doesn't understand at first..... Hint: With today's technology something the size of a watch could be used to insert program settings into a pacemaker. Just need a battery, a micro controller, and the right type of magnet. Not safe, but possible.
Have fun writing.
