Which do you go with, your brain or your gut, when you gotta decide? Or do you follow your heart!

Here's what I do:

If I dont have a fucking clue, I go with my gut.

If I know!, I go with what I know.

When my grandson threw a golfball thru the window and blamed the dog, I said: EVERYONE DESERVES ONE FREE SMASHED WINDOW IN LIFE, and I let it go.

Actually a good question and one that doesn't really have a hard and true answer. It all depends on the circumstances.

I follow what is called a Code of Honor. There are things that aren't allowed and things that are. Even in this though there are areas of gray. (Not many but there are some.)

As an example I don't lie. I tell the truth with no embellishments. I do however allow others the little white lie because I know how the world works and I can't expect others to live to my standards.

Gut instincts rules when the brain has no answer, but I figure the gut instinct draws on logic, experience etc of the brain.

A question that has troubled philosophers for centuries, identified as the mind/body dichotomy.

To use other words, it is a question of whether the rational mind rules or the emotional body, your, 'gut' or 'heart' description.

Since emotions do not exist in a vacuum, nor were they embedded in the mind by God, then emotions can be defined as previously made value judgments that act automatically when called upon.

Since most people never develope or train their minds, they remain a jumble of emotional outpourings, often contradictory and eventually leading to mental illness.

Ain't it wunnerful?
