I can remember being a member of AOL a couple years before they instituted their Unlimited Connection Time plan.

Before that, I was a regular on a local law enforcement BBS.

I'd place it somewhere around 13 years ago, perhaps.

Ah, the BBS days. Why, back then, we didn't even have any fancy-schmancy modems. We sent our data on punch cards and sometimes it took two weeks to have a conversation, and by gum, we liked it!

I lived in GA till 2 years ago..been a braves fan since childhood. I used to go to the old Atlanta Fulton Co Stadium when only a few thousand people showed up. Klesko rocks.. I hated to see the Braves trade him, but I gotta say I was glad to see him come to the Padres instead of anywhere else.

Been online since mid 95 with the help of AOL .. But the problem was the line we connected to was a long distance line.. so the first month's bill came to 500 bucks.

But yeah, once the town I lived in got hooked up, it was addiction at first click!

Oh yeah...IRC blows chunks now with the rise of Mirc, script kiddies and major spam.

mIRC is awesome as an application (I'm a programmer, I notice these things.) But it's given rise to scripted spam. I like hit on these chicks there, they send me a URL of some porn site...freaky.

First got online in 1994, as I recall, The x set it all up etc. She just had to have a computer. So I sold my TR8, bought a top of the line computer and all the shit that went with it. And paid some of her outstanding bills with the leftover money from the sale of the car. Now shes gone the computer is gone and I miss my TR8.

I have only been on the internet for about 8 months. We have had a computers in the house for awhile, I just never thought they could nearly be this interesting. I was definitely wrong about that.

Since 1989...first computer with a modem was a Commodore 64 with a 300 baud modem...my how the times have changed.
