Bra Sizes

As an author on Lit I am always trying to add as much realism to my stories as possible.

One important thing I've found not really represented realistically is bra sizes and what readers think they are like. There are a lot of wrong bra size listings for celebs for instance and only a few confirmed sizes.

So I wanted to know if anyone is willing to do one of the following:

EITHER

List a confirmed celebrity bra size here for reference

OR

List their own bra size with a picture for size reference (need not be naked, can be in clothes. Revealing for accurate size reference is best)

This way I can get a good idea what each bra size looks like and make stories more real. Other authors could also use this resource.

Any help would be appreciated.

For celebs I have confirmed sizes of (confirmed by the celeb themselves):

Angelina Jolie - 36C
Brie Larson - 34D
Christina Aguillera - 34E
Victoria Beckham - 34B (with implants 34DD)
Sofia Vergara - 32F
Ariel Winter - 34D (reduced from 32F)

There are some others that may be known (i.e. posted on a source that has reliably told others' sizes) but I can't find confirmation:

Kate Upton - 34D
Katy Perry - 32D
Dolly Parton - 40DD
Tyra Banks - 34DD
Jennifer Love Hewitt - 36C

If you know any more I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Bra size and size

The problem with using bra size as the benchmark for nice tits is that the size of the woman is a major factor. I am 36D and there are lots of women that have much larger breasts than I do. Just stroll through the bra lane at Walmart! Holy fuck some woman have giant tits! But if a woman is 36D and 5'9" then her tits are not going to look that big on her. On me 36D looks very big because I am only 5'1" and only weigh about 110 pounds.

So when you are describing a woman in a story you have to look at all the metrics. It is not just about bra size. It is breast to height and weight ratio.

I absolutely agree and I, and other authors, do take height, weight, and other metrics into consideration.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that bra sizes are often wrongly attributed in stories and readers' ideas of the sizes vary drastically from the actual size. So I want to get reference for various sizes so I can get the bra size correctly. Not that I can write 'she has big tits' or something similar. But so I can have an accurate idea of what the woman looks like or accurately describe someone I am seeing in my head.

Does that make sense?

For those doing historical stories I found a list of bra sizes for famous figures - no pun intended - going back at least 600 years. Here are some examples but the list has maybe 700+ names! I probably should post this elsewhere if it helps anyone:

Jane Austen - 34D
Joan of Arc - 32A
Catherine the Great - 34E
Sacagawea - 34B
Elizabeth Cady Stanton - 32F
Susan B. Anthony - 34D (others argue more of a C look in some of the photos)
Marie Curie - 34B
Anna May Wong - 32A

Because it's completely irrelevant.

You're posting in the wrong section for this, try the Author's Hangout.

And your signature area is waaaaayyyyyyy too the fuck long.

Using a bra size to accurately describe a woman? How unimaginative. I would probably stop reading.

LOL, wish I'd thought of that for my White Trash story!

I agree. And males are more than just a penis size. Stop calling me Mr. Nine or stupid nicknames like that. It gets old real fast. Same thing with judging people by their income or jobs.

That's not the main point but people are more than their body parts (jobs, income, etc).

This should be in AH for sure.

I think it distracts from the story to say "she is 'x' pounds at 'z' height, and 'y' size titties, with 'b' color hair" unless it has a direct impact to the plot line. Otherwise, just say 's' person grabbed her boobs. The reader will build a picture in their mind.

That being said, there are some people that don't have an imagination, and saying the leading lady is built like a well known celebrity isn't even enough. To each their own though. I'd rather not have exact specs forced into the story so I can picture who I want.

i like how people are giving him real advice while completely ignoring the fact that this thread was clearly posted as a silly way to get boob pics.

Men love bra's and other under things but we do not know the first thing about sizes or proprtions. We all could do with some education.

accurately describe someone I am seeing in my head.

In post #3 it says in part: "accurately describe someone I am seeing in my head." I think that is where the art of writing comes into the arena. I recommend that you describe a naked woman on a nude beach and paint a mental picture in the minds of your readers without bra size being the paint brush. But I agree that studying the numbers is valuable. I stop reading a lot of stories because the description is so disconnected from human reality.

As a side point I am sick of stupid stories that are based on cock size. Cock size matters to shallow men that have fantasies about being an alpha male. But like most women I don't care very much about cock size. The degree that a man is excited about a sexual encounter with me is far more important than the size of his cock. And of course there are lots of other ingredients in sexual chemistry. But stories make it seem like if we see a big cock we instantly want to spread our legs. That is just stupid.
