Two boys, seniors in high school, are finally going steady and have hooked up with 2 amazing girls in time for the spring formal.

Girls both decide to wait, abstain from sex night of formal, so boys end up at one's home, and decide to come out and explore sexual fullfillment with each other. They get hooked on gay ways, but still date the same girls to keep up appearances. Or a group of guys who have the same problem, and decide to get into gay sex and bdsm,

This is something of a remarkable coincidence, since I imaginced a very similar scenario this morning as I was massaging my morning wood and thinking about a short story to write for this site.

My version is perhaps less gay oriented, in that the two main characters, roommates and good friends, do not become involved in that lifestyle. Rather, being intellectuals (or geeks if you prefer) and single, they reflect that so much of their frustration could be releived by mutual benifit. They are definitely straight (or so they contend), but feeling somewhat lost in the modern flux of male-female relations, they decide that rather than try to untie that knot, they could give each other oral sex in the absence of an available partner.

Now, this is not an arrangement that I expect would be very common, or even reasonable. But, in the narrative, the two characters, under the influcence of pornography and a bit of drink, reason it out to themselves that this might be worth trying. In fact, I know I've talked online to one or two who have admitted that, in a small group of their drinking friends, they will give each other head; an activity they never really talk about, or do while sober, but which (as I observed at the time) was a wonderful way of keeping the power of their sexual fulfilment away from women who might exploit them (yes, there probably is a trace of mysogony in that arguement).

I think, in the story I've roughed out in my imagination, the pull here isn't that the characters are closet gays or bi, but that they have cmoe to this arrangement by intellectual arguement. I'm not sure that makes for good or intense erotica, but there does seem to be a fascination for straights-involved-in-gay-sex in the Gay Male catagory, and being straight myself, have always been curious to know under what circumstances, I myself might be tempted to engage in that myself. Being married, I have no reason to resort to that at the moment, but when I was single it certainly came to mind more than once, and even now, I find the subject rather compelling. I'm not completely convinced that, in the story suggested by the original poster, otherwise straight men would completely make the turn, but it does pose all sorts of interesting questions about what sexual behaviour and orientation. If two men masturbate in the same room while watching straight porn, that could probably be considered a non-homosexual act. But, if these same men agree it could me more fun and interesting to masturbate each other, where then?

Sorry, didn't quite mean to ramble, and I haven't put one word on paper yet for this specific story idea, but I definitely see the angle behind the story idea, and agree it is hugely fertile ground for erotica.

The reason why I brought this up is: I don't know about others, but for me, it is a total different if it is a male or a she-male. For better or worse, I've begun on my own version of the story, currently titled 'Mutual Agreement' (name likely to change). I've actually set about to create two versions; the boy version and the girl version, where the main characters in each are either two boys or two girls, but playing out more or less the same scenario. Part of the reason for this, was because I was curious to see how differently the story would evolve or change based on those gender differences, and also because I don't typically write Gay Male erotica, and I think I felt better about the whole deal by giving myself that second side story.

I think, to respond to an earlier response, there is something to the saying that an erect penis has no conscious. Leaving aside how willing or able a straight man might be in taking another man's organ in his mouth, I suspect, under the right circumstances, there would be a lot less reticence about recieving oral sex from someone of the same gender. I know there's an entire phenomina of married men paying for seeking oral sex from transexual prostitues or glory holes. I wouldn't claim to have any personal experience in that field, but I would suspect that most of these men, even while engaging in this activity, would never consider themselves as anything but straight.

I think, with the right about of sexual despiration and opportunity, a guy will do just about anything. The joke about sheppards fucking their sheep wasn't dreamed up out of the blue, that's for sure.

One thing that keeps drawing me back to this topic is the wonderful title given to it; 'Boys can't wait for girlfriends, turn to one another'. There is this wonderfully simple, perverse logic to it. Two guys -can't find girlfriends, can't get laid, come to a cathartic moment when they realize the only thing holding them back from getting what they want is a social taboo about homosexual behaviour. As unlikely as it may be, the simplicity if it almost makes me wonder if such arrangements do take place in the privacy of shared apartments.

Having played D&D in my younger days, I can definitely see that slant to the story too. As I recall, woe to the players who chose female characters, since they were hit on almost non-stop; especially with those DMs who went with the D12 rule (somewhere along way, it was decided a 12 sided die would determin the quality of the sexual experience; which was followed by a percentile roll for pregnancy). I don't recall very much in the way of anyone acting anything out, but it could be we were a fairly uninventive bunch of RPers. They do have role playing games now where, as opposed to paper and dice, you actually are required to act out your part, in costume even. Don't know a whole lot about them, but there's your cross-dressing angle for sure.
