There continues to be significant backlash against the so-called religious freedom law in Indiana. After Hobby Lobby this is great to see. Hopefully it will start to erode similar laws in 19 other states, and eventually Hobby Lobby.

What frustrates me is that, I didn't know there was an assault on Chrstianity in America, and what's even more bizarre, is the folks that defend this are likely the same folks who have forgotten that the mother of Jesus Christ, was a whore, and the Christ Jesus, never ever spoke to anyone other than the low life's of His day! It's okay to follow your religious beliefs, whatever those may be, but it's not okay to wrap, bigotry and hate, up in the blanket of religion!!! We as a country have gone over 200 yrs without a need for laws like this, so why start now? This wasn't a problem in the first place so why create one?
Indiana's Govenor is already backpedaling to save his bacon cause many MAJOR business ventures have already voiced opposition to the new law and that means $$$$ not coming into the state. At the end of the day, it's about $$$$ not religious freedom or religious persecution!

I've just been reading Mike Pence's FB page. It aint going too well for the governor.

the hooisers were backwardassed motherfuckers long before this.

Being a former Hoosier, they were always, politically speaking, the first or second state in the country to go Republican, every presidential election, but it seems like, regardless of politics, this new law, as in 19 OTHER STATES, is repressive and unnecessary and aimed at division rather than inclusion and driven by somebody's agenda! DIVIDE AND CONQUER, apparently is the new mantra....

The bible very clearly condemns homosexuality. Why get outraged that some people follow what the bible says? They are simply following their religious beliefs which you claim is ok. Why not just say that the bible is a work of fiction and that the whole thing is horseshit? Because that would be a direct attack on Christianity and you don't have the balls to do that.

I do. :D

As do I. People who want to pick and choose are pussies who are too afraid to reject the whole thing. If you believe the bible is the word of God, then you must support choosing to not bake a wedding cake for a gay wedding. You can't have it both ways.

and you couldn't get elected dog catcher with those beliefs in most if not all of the country.

Thats why political opposition doesn't use that tactic.

The people say it in the voting booth.

Business says it at the cash register and so on.

and you couldn't get elected dog catcher with those beliefs in most if not all of the country and you also know that so whats the M.O.?

You must think I believe elections matter?

This is all a bunch of bullshit that we are supposed to argue about and vote upon meanwhile the oligarchs are financially raping the country while no one is looking.

First, I'm not outraged. Second, I also believe your opinions on the bible are okay for you and its okay for me not to agree or disagree. I do have balls, and it's not your decision as to how I use them or don't use them, so have a blessed day!:D

All I am saying is gay people should be able to buy a cake and Pence is a bum and I suspect he will be out come the next election.

So the system works.

The oligarchs are looking for a tax deduction. They don't give a shit about Mike Pence, God or gays or anything but the bottom line. It's the nature of being an oligarch.

No they are not..they are asking for a LEGAL PRIVILAGE, based upon their religious belifes.

Kinda like they want to pass out Christian material at public schools to push their fairy tales but they get all pissed the fuck off when all the other religious whackadoodles did the same.

Why not just say that the bible is a work of fiction and that the whole thing is horseshit?

Because that wouldn't be pushing for their religious legal privileges....aka an 'attack' on Christianity.

Don't forget the Earth is flat, center of the universe, 6000 years old, it's moral to sell your daughter off and stoner her to death if she gives you any lip about it. Oh and beating slaves....Jesus gives a big ol' lesson on how to beat your slaves proper....so much love.

That's right Christians, you gotta support slavery and the beating of your slaves or you're in DIRECT contradiction to your GOD. :D

Do you believe in the bible or not? If you do, than you must believe it is ok to refuse to service gays patrons. If you believe it is wrong to refuse serving gays, then you can't believe in the bible.

I think the whole bible is horseshit so why are you trying to convince me to pick and choose which passage is more stupid? Christians pick and choose because they don't have any balls. I'd just flush the whole thing down the toilet.

It's not that cut and dry and you know that.

Besides....you need a little churchin up. Confess some sins and stuff.

a fox news wet dream.

I remember how shocked and dumbfounded they all were when pagans, muslims, scientoligist, satanist ect. all showed up to schools and started passing their propaganda out.

And I don't think they were faking it...I think they were honestly shocked M'uricuh wasn't uniformly evangelical Christian.

I do too...I'm not I'm pointing out to all the Christian Theocon readers the vile shit that their god directly commands of them yet most chose to ignore because reasons n' faith n' stuff.

Christians pick and choose because they don't have any balls. I'd just flush the whole thing down the toilet.

Me too....

Actually, it doesn't, in the entire bible there are only a handful of references to homosexuality, and several of those are bogus:

-Leviticus is the primary one everyone loves to cite, and what is interesting is that this is Jewish law, yet only a small percentage of Jews thinks it means a blanket condemnation of gays (only the orthodox and ultra orthodox do, very few of the other types do). Leviticus has some ridiculous number of laws, yet Christians take this one law as 'real', and claim the rest is "Jewish cultural law', go figure.

-Deuteronomy talks about temple prostitution, male and female, but the shit kickers claim it is about gays.

-Soddom and Gomorrah was about the mistreatment of guests and strangers, big deal in Jewish law. The angels go there, not because of homosexuality, but because they have reports strangers are being abused, and when the mob gathers they gather because they want to rape the angels, humiliate them, for being guests in Lot's house (rape is rape, homosexual or not).

-Jesus never mentions homosexuality, not once

-In the NT, there is one reference usually claimed to be about homosexuality, in Paul, where he rants about sexual deviance. In some of the fundy bibles, they actually have it condemning homosexuality, which is really interesting since that is a 19th century word and the greeks had no word for same sex attraction, and the line in Paul is condemning sexual deviancy and could be talking about masturbation.

That is it, that is the sum total, yet major faiths (the catholic church for one), have turned their faith into being about being anti gay (and anti abortion, likewise not in the bible).

The real hypocrisy of the 'religious freedom act' is that it so clearly shows the hypocrisy of the religious right, why people think they are downright stupid, mean people. The bible condemns adultery over a thousand times, even Jesus condemns it time and again, yet how many of the religious would deny a known adulterer the right to use their business? How many of the bigots who would fire a gay employee for being gay or getting married (which this law very well might allow), would fire someone for getting divorced and /or for having an affair, both of which are roundly condemned in the bible.

How many of the wedding photographers or bakers this is supposed to protect, would refuse to do a wedding cake or take pictures at a wedding where one of the people was divorced, as they would be helping to celebrate adultery, since the bible and Jesus clearly state that such a wedding is null, since the divorced person is still married according to Jesus..and of course the answer is they don't (probably in large part because among the righteous, the born again/evangelical crowd, large percentages of them are divorced and/or have committed adultery, the divorce rate is higher in the bible belt then in 'soddom and gomorrahs' like Massachusetts), in large part cause then they would have to point the fingers at themselves.

I don't have to say the bible is bullshit or say God is a fraud, to make a case, I can point out the hypocrisy of the 'religious' in picking and choosing what is important to their beliefs and if we didn't have so many judges in the thrall of religion, they would throw out these kinds of laws, for the very reason that any law based on religion or morality is bullshit, that people of faith cannot even decide what their faith means, so how can that justify discrimination? And if a business owner claims to be Christian, and allows some sins to pass while going after others, then their basis is bullshit, because for religious belief to be valid it has to be an all or none, the same way that someone claiming CO status cannot say "war is okay in some cases, but not other", either your beliefs are against it or not.

That certainly is your opinion and your entitled to it. Thankfully I do not subscribe to your beliefs or rants..... What a wonderful country!:D

Sorry but your examples are the usual ones trotted out by people like you who live their lives carrying around a blankie. Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't about gays? Gay ass fucking was named for it. And come on, the quote. "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." is pretty clear, as is Romans 1:26-27.

Anyway I know what you and others are doing. This is how you sleep at night, how you can believe you are going to heaven and support gay rights at the same time. Who am I to take away your crutch? I have my own, non-biblical crutch to help me sleep at night. And I found a new dealer who only charges $75 for a quarter.

Finally, of course the religious right are hypocrites. But then, you are a hypocrite too if you believe in the bible.
