I would sure love to see a boxer bow a wreslters schedule to see who would be the more athletical developed athlete.

hell most boxers don't box but once or twice a year.

wrestlers are sometimes boxing twice a night and minimum twice weekly.

yes wrestling is fake as hell but athletically I think the wrestlers are superior athletically.

Its all a game.

When you can get Kondo Katsuyuki, Head of the Daito-ryu Aiki Jujutsu Headquarters Dojo to be in a match, I will buy front row tickets.

Till then, doesn't intrest me.

actually I would love to see that too

You do know how that match would go, don't you.

Who ever you get to fight him will make one move toward Kondo, then Kondo grab the opponents head, slam it into the ground bouncing it like a Basketball.

That, or he will use the opponent to demo every joint lock in the system, leaving the opponent a mass of jello but injured.

I want to see that in a UFC match.

Its AKi-jujitsu, not Akido.

Aki-jj is like akido, but instead of harmony, they use harm.

If the guy smiles as he gets up , its akido.

If he doesn't get back up, its aki-jujitsu.

It's a fawking phonetic translation which is why you get Kempo and Kenpo from the same characters...

If you practice purely for combat it is jitsu according to Dreager and for personal gain a Do. I agree with Donahue that that's a load of horse petuey...

Same differance...

A matter of inflection and nuance...

You really cannot separte the two except the one clings to the notion of a, "Historical Preservation Society," and the other is willing to evolve along with the needs of current society.

that later would be most enjoyable and entertaining

I don't really care what other people think.

If it can teach me how to break joints and kill people while providing good low impact cardio, its ok by me.

I'm not a martial artist. I'm not artistic. I'm just martial.

If they can show ballroom dancing on the sports channels then definitely yes.

There is a difference between a show and a sport.

Professional wrestling is fake. The wrestlers may be well-muscled and well-trained, but they are putting on a show - they already know who is going to win.

College and Olympic wrestling is real. Wrestling is a martial art that goes back to ancient Rome (or before). Since the outcome of the match is not predetermined, it should be classified as a sport.

In my humble opinion. . . ;)

Do you know what happened to horny young girls back when Greco wrestling first had its inception in ancient Greece and the randy ladies would try to spy on the well-muscled men greased-up and wrestling in the nude at the Olympics (back then all the events were nude and only men were allowed to watch-female spectators were forbidden).

Um, is there a question in there? LOL

In Sillyman's unabridged English to Fuck You dictionary, a sport is defined as a physical competition with a clear and objective method of scoring. Boxing and Wrestling are both sports, since they are a physical competition with a clear method of scoring, i.e. who drops first. Figure skating is not a sport, it's a an artform, and should be judged as such. NASCAR is also not a sport, but because the skill required to excel is primary mental rather than physically based.

Pro wrestling is for the most part, a soap-opera ballet with more violence.

A woman caught secretly watching the nude men compete at the Olympics in Ancient times was an offense punishable by death. If that rule were enforced still today…and the Olympics were still nude…I’d have to wager at least half the lieteroctica voyeurs here of the female persuasion would be dead by now! :p
