Borg Sex (Closed for The Apparition & RotheAllure)

Prologue:

Earth:
the year is 2112... All that has been imagined, all that many thought was impossible - is no longer so. Space travel, interactive artificial intelligence, laser guns... all of it, is now a commodity.

Originally produced as standard maintenance android - like many others of his designation and others that already had human characteristics - this robot became the first to discover his own unique individuality. Shortly after a maintenance cyborg unit "P-31" had discovered his individuality; he was transferred to human/cyborg relations, where he would undergo several physical and memory enhancements.

These new, highly advanced cyborgs were nearly exact to the specifications of an adult human being. They were given an artificial nervous system that could detect pain and pleasure at their leisure; they were also gifted with a proper name. This particular cyborg was actually the first male cyborg in the line, thus the Fellowship of Global Cybernetics (FGC) gifted P-31 with the name "Adam" when his memory was rebooted.

For several years, Adam resided with William and Deanna Gruber, a couple roughly 30 years in age, in an FGC-controlled facility where he would learn to become more human.

Time went on, and as Adam matured into the likes of an adult human male, the couple grew close with him - even going so far as to address him as their "son". Deanna began to notice as Adam was out in public, that he still regarded and held himself like a machine - this much, she figured, was almost impossible to teach him not to do. Adam would often be scolded by people for his likeness of a human, where they felt a machine had no right to impersonate a person.
Deanna seemed to grow closer with Adam until his 18th year - according to the time since his memory was rebooted - though it seemed Adam would often take her affection the wrong way. This resulted in William Gruber requesting Adam's departure, suggesting to the FGC that Adam attempt living on his own through what he had been taught.

And so on May of 2130, Adam enlisted with the United Nations of Earth's (UNA) cybernetic military division.

July, 2131:
After failed negotiations on the matter of a nonaggression pact, the Naxos Unification of Andromeda (NUA) decided to invade the Earth sector - attacking a military stronghold for the UNA in Berlin, Germany. Thus, the United Nations of Earth and the allies of the Sol system set out for the first Outer stellar War; over 4 million human men and women, 3 million alien allies and over 13 million cyborg units were destroyed in combat between the first month of combat in August that same year and the final month of combat in March of 2135.

Before the NUA had surrendered to a cyborg division (which Adam was included in), the enemy considered man's greatest invention to be the highly advanced robots - and after the years, so did his human counterparts.
However, it was during this war that Adam grew even more curious as to why his human counterparts continued to treat their creations with such disregard - yet it took one instance where the boundaries between man and machine were broken ... with unequivocal love. However, such was not the manner when the pair were introduced to each other.
____________________________________________________________________________

October, 2132

His head twitched slightly in a curious manner as the man opened his chest plate, bringing an object up as it began to radiate a light that magically attached itself to something within him. He was certainly not human... his dull blue eyes stared for a moment at the patch on the man's shoulder that read "Fellowship of Global Cybernetics" as the man looked up to him and began to speak.

"You're pretty banged up, Adam. How often are you getting maintenance work done?"

"I try to keep a regular maintenance checkup every 6 months. However, being so far from our own galaxy without proper equipment proves to make it difficult in doing so."

The man nodded as he pulled the object in his hand away before setting it down, squinting slightly before bringing another item up to his own eyes that seemed to magnify his eyes in the glass - and then retrieving another item that appeared to be capable of grabbing the most minute of items.

"Well, my friend... it also seems they keep you behind the news out there... They're creating a new cybernetic maintenance division - just for you guys. It seems we were finally successful in negotiating with the higher-ups for the UN. We couldn't keep pumping anymore units up to their demand, y'know?"

The man suddenly used the plier-like item to remove something from within Adam's chest. After a slight struggle, it was revealed to be a chunk of shrapnel; he glared up at the artificial person, though Adam continued their conversation as if nothing was wrong.

"Curious... the FGC has attempted, albeit unsuccessful, to create such a division - ever since the beginning of the war. The UN appeared adamant to require new units every 6 months, especially with which rate they were being destroyed. It is my estimation that after 5 more years of this war, over 15 million cybernetic units will have been destroyed." He paused a beat as the man set the other items down and began to clean up. "Smiley, do you think humans are beginning to accept us as equals?"

This "Smiley" grinned brightly, as he closed up Adam's chest.

"Don't get your hopes up, Adam. We've been trying to get human and alien alike to accept your kind. Something about your artificial consciencness apparently frightens them," he held a hand up to Adam's mouth as he had just begun to open it, "Don't ask! Don't ask! For the 1,000th time, I don't know why. It was that way hundreds of years ago where people wouldn't tolerate somebody based on the color of their skin. Look, I'm done here - reboot yourself, you need it."

Adam looked forward as the chest plate was sealed shut, and then Smiley brought a similar instrument as before up - as it lit up, it began to seal the skin, to appear as though he had never been opened. He closed his eyes for a moment as Smiley tended to other things in the room, before his eyes opened, revealing his dull blue eyes now a more brighter, colorful hue of blue. Inhaling for a moment, he could feel the air rushing into his artificial body - though he had no need for air, it was included in his body to create the sensation of breathing.

"Thank you, Davis - you are certainly one of a kind," he said to 'Smiley'.

"Yeah, yeah - and how many times have I got to tell you? Don't call me that! I hate that name."

Adam quirked an eyebrow before turning to depart.

"Adam!"

Turning back to look toward Smiley, he gave him a curious look.

"...Be careful. We'd hate to lose you."

They exchanged solemn nods in understanding before finally Adam exited the building. Outside was a wonder... the skies were a beautiful crimson as the twin suns of the planet began to set, a pair of transport craft began their ascent into the heavens - no doubt full with cybernetic units off to their next assignment. This was the UN transport base on Tavis III, approximately 2.5 million light years from the Andromeda galaxy. Here, divisions would be assembled before departing for their designated assignment - and then a jump through the Halifax wormhole that took them 2.45 million light years closer to UNA territory.

"Hey! Android! Stop standing there and make yourself useful to the cause!"

A single human male in a group of humans and one alien (she appeared almost human, but had several facial differences to that of a human female) called out to him before they all burst into immediate laughter, then carrying on their business. Adam frowned slightly before he adjusted his uniform and gathered his items just outside of the building, heading off to one of the landing stations on the base.

"Android unit P-31 - reporting," he announced to an alien superior officer, once arriving to the landing station.

The alien looked up and down Adam before scowling slightly and then motioned to the transport craft. "P-31, you'll be riding with your new 'maintenance division'... why you need one, I don't know," he muttered under his breath. The alien knew that Adam could hear the quiet comment with his superb hearing - though it was obviously hushed so others could not.

Regardless, Adam nodded in acknowledgment as he boarded the craft, immediately seating himself in a designated seat. A maintenance division... for androids, it was almost overwhelming, even for his circuits! Adam just knew it was the first step toward acceptance of him and others like him. Though he never would have imagined he would be loved and feel love toward a human counterpart...

"Fallon Georgia.. report to the First Deck.. Fallon Georgia"

~ She heard her name being called over the intercom.. gods how she HATED hearing her name blaring over that infernal thing... she shook her head.. sending the curls of crimson red that adorned her head shuffling about her shoulders.. She lifted her fingers to tumble them thru those curls.. her hair barely touched her shoulders.. she wished she could grow it long.. she thought to herself as she looked in the mirror.. but that would just get in the way... no matter... it was not like anyone was going to even notice her...
She quickly cast those thoughts out of her head... she was better off here.. working in the Maintenance Division for Androids..

"Those Androids are more human than some humans" she thinks to herself... she really was beginning to hate her own race.. these days... and was glad that the Transport had limited humans on it... and more Androids... she liked being around the Androids... but even they had their own bad seeds... but the best part was.. You could reprogram those bad seeds... if You could restrain them long enough to get inside... Fallon had a way with Androids it seemed.. ever since she was little... She never judged them.. never looked down upon them with disdain like others had.. it was only natural that in the end.. she would end up working with... and even.. falling in love.. with one..

She had been born upon Earth.. the actual planet Earth.. to human parents... these days of Alien/Human minglings.. she was a pure blood... Her father was a mechanic.. working on fighters.. transports.. whatever needed to be fixed... it was "Call Mr. Georgia.. He'll get it done.." He was the best.. and she knew that... she missed her parents... both were gone now.. she was all there was left to the Georgia family name.. She took after her Father when it came to repairing anything mechanical.. from the simplest TV to the most complex of human like Androids...

Once her parents had passed on... she had no reason to stay on Earth.. and she enlisted to join the .. Forces... as she called them.... Fallon did not understand the need for war... did not understand why one would kill another.. for any reason... and the politics.. or whatever.. that drove the war on... was of no consequence to her... she was there to fix things... again whatever needed to be fixed...

She started out fixing moving vehicles... but once she showed her ... prowess in doing such.. she began to move up in the ranks.... She was one of the ONLY females allowed to work with the Androids.. at least in this sector.. the Humans in charge still leery of the now aware Androids.. and it seemed human females were especially wary... that was what Fallon had been told and noticed... she herself... loved working with them...

Fallon had also fallen in love during this time.. to a pilot named Blake Hardgrove... Blake was handsome.. older... successful... high ranking in the .. Forces... and Fallon and He had a whirlwind romance... or so Fallon thought... She was with Blake for nearly a year when she found Him cheating.. with CindyLou... the singer that had come with a entertainment group sent to well... sing and entertain the .. forces... Blake was fucking Cindylou in the hanger where his ship was kept... Fallon had gone looking for him that night... and found him with her... she .. was devestated.. she had given her heart to him... Blake tried to reason with her.. and tried to win her back... Fallon would have none of it.. and when Blake left for battle.. she was not there to see him off...

That had been 3 months ago... and now she was aboard the Transport... she knew Blake may find her if he wanted.. but she figured he would find a new girl to occupy his time.. even tho it still hurt to think about what he had done to her... Other men came on to her... Fallon ignored them.. she wanted nothing more to do with the males of the human race... she found them rude... crude.. and downright nasty in alot of cases...

"Fallon Georgia.. report to the First Deck.. Fallon Georgia"

"Yeah yeah... I'm coming.. " she stepped out of her quarters.. and headed to the lift that would take her to the First Deck... more than likely to meet another Android that had been assigned to the ship... she liked to meet them all as they came on.. gave her a sense of who they were.. and since she was in charge of keeping them running.. they needed to know who she was too... Some Androids she just did not like... another had come onto the ship.. she struggled to remember his name.. Damien.. that was it.. he seemed to be one of those... bad seeds.... but she still had to work on him if it warrented... she was not the only Android mechanic on the Transport.. but she was.. the best...

She was shown the seat that... Adam.. had taken.. He already preparing for takeoff... Approaching Him.. she extends her hand...

"Hi Adam.. right? I am Fallon... I am the cheif mechanic for you guys on the Transport... I wanted to introduce myself...."

Her golden hued eyes fix upon His for a moment... she felt a tiny flutter to her heart... this one... this one was gorgeous .. at least to her.... it had been a long time since she found anyone even remotely attractive.. She blinked for a moment... shaking her head slightly.. and casting that thought aside...as her delicate soft hand slips into His... ~

Already seated and harnessed, Adam stared ahead of him with his hands in his lap as he awaited for the remaining party to board the transport. He was bumped every now and then by the few mechanics and officers that passed him by, his cybernetic counterparts filing down the small pathway before seating themselves just as he had.
A couple of the cybernetic units had some irreparable physical damage, one with exposed circuitry to his arm - another with his human face completely missing, exposing most of the flashing lights and wiring along with the metal plating that made up his skull. He couldn't help but feel sympathetic for those individuals, as their damage required them to completely shut down their artificial nervous system - as not to feel any pain.

The artificial nervous system was just one of many things that made androids that much closer to being human...

His eyes began to scan around himself as his hearing began to receive what many humans referred to as sensitivity.. Sensitivity to something that suddenly gained his attention. A human female was glancing about as she stepped closer and closer, she wore a Cybernetics Maintenance division patch on her shoulder - along with a chief of maintenance pip on her chest.

There was something about her.. She didn't seem as calloused as other humans, though Adam knew just as many other androids that grew sensitive to the subject: He couldn't simply believe one individual would make a difference, to sway people's opinion on them.
Her hair short, fiery.. her eyes golden, radiating.. The clear skin that appeared milky white - she approached closer now, her eyes fixated upon him as he dared to turn his own gaze upon her - her hand extending outward.

"Hi Adam.. right? I am Fallon... I am the chief mechanic for you guys on the Transport... I wanted to introduce myself...."

He was intrigued, to say the least - his eyes transfixed upon her hand for a brief moment before calmly raising his own hand to her own, exchanging a shake of hands. Still, he had yet to respond to her before releasing his hand from her grasp, as he began accessing his own memory database:
Georgia, Fallon - Female/human
Born: 2107
Current position/rank: Chief Maintenance officer, Cybernetic division

Finally, he responded, in his usual automated tone:

"Greetings, Fallon Georgia. I am cybernetic unit P-31 - also known as "Adam", as you evidently already know. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Unbeknowst to her (or so Adam suspected), he turned his emotion chip off, so as not to come off as a bumbling idiot - even for a cyborg. Perhaps it was just that... his emotions were getting the best of him in the previous moment. Although he wanted to believe, he still was wary of humans outside of the Fellowship - the thought had even occured to him as he was boarding, that these maintenance officers may perform subpar - just out of spite of cyborgs.

He quirked a brow, tilting his head slightly as he continued to gaze up to her before indicating to the seat next to himself that she was evidently supposed to take.

"Please, sit."

His eyes slowly gazed down to his own hand that now rested upon his knee, that which he used to shake her hand with. Her hand was much softer compared to his own, a slight moisture had also developed on her palm, he observed - perhaps agitated by introducting herself to an android?
Adam thought it best to disregard the encounter for the time being, as the last of the occupants on the transport ship boarded, the interior closing off from the outside as the door sealed shut. His eyes casually diverted their attention to Fallon as she strapped herself into her chair, thrusters igniting soon afterward as the prepared for the journey off the planet.

"Preparing for lift - and we have a go," came a voice over an intercom system within the ship, to which suddenly the weight of gravity began to shift as they lifted quickly through the planet's skies - and into space.
"Preparing for entry into the Halifax wormhole, and mark!"

"Did you know, Chief Georgia, that the Halifax wormhole will take us approximately 2.45 million light years closer to Naxos Unification space in a matter of minutes?"
She appeared distracted, perhaps from the effects of space - a side effect that he obviously did not experience - however, her eyes did appear to glance slightly toward him.

"Would you SHUT UP, you android," somebody shouted from the front of the ship before the ship's commander began counting down.
"Entering the Halifax wormhole in 3, 2, 1!"
Within a matter of minutes, the ship emerged on the other side of the wormhole - a completely different aura seemed to fill the void of space as the ship rocketed past a few planets before reverse thrusters were initiated to bring the ship to a slow speed. Adam again glanced over to her, in an obvious talkative state of mind.

"Forgive me if I am a nuisance, ma'am.. Perhaps I am better off waiting for my scheduled maintenance to attempt to grow acquainted with you."

~ Gods... He was handsome.. she thought again as their hands touched.. and she realized that in her... sudden nervousness at seeing Adam.. and her deeply rooted attraction to Him... her hand was warm and moist... how embassassing was that....

What she did not like.. was His voice when He spoke...
"Greetings, Fallon Georgia. I am cybernetic unit P-31 - also known as "Adam", as you evidently already know. It is a pleasure to meet you."

She pondered for a moment before she honed in on just what was wrong.. He had turned off His emotion chip... Hmmmm interesting... she had to wonder why... but would not question Him on it... maybe there was a problem with it.. she would ask after they are in flight.. see if there was something she could do.. she would be giving him the once over soon enough...

She smiled to Adam.. and moved to the other Cy's as she called them.. on the ship.. to aquaint herself.. but it was Adam her mind seemed to keep going back too...
When she approached Him again He indicated the seat beside him...

"please, sit"

"Thank You Adam.." she smiles as she takes the seat.. fastening herself in...

It took only moments for the actual liftoff... to Fallon it felt like hours... in reality she hated space flight.. but it was a neccessary hazard of her job... she had chosen to do what she did.. she would never complain.. but it did not mean she had to internally like it...
Her fingers dug into the seat rails.. as the ship entered space...

"Did you know, Chief Georgia, that the Halifax wormhole will take us approximately 2.45 million light years closer to Naxos Unification space in a matter of minutes?"

She had to smile as Adam half spoke.. half whispered to her in that deadpan voice... she was about to answer when a yell came from upfront...

"Would you SHUT UP, you android,"

She shot a glance at the man who yelled it.. He was sitting near the front... dressed in a Doctor's uniform.. identifying him as such... she narrowed her golden eyes.. and shot back...

"Never speak to ANYONE on this ship with that tone of voice again... DO YOU UNDERSTAND!"

"I don't care if He is Human.. Cy... Alien... You will treat anyone you come into contact on this ship with the proper respect.. If you do not.. I will report you to your director... IS THAT UNDERSTOOD DR. BLAKESON... "

She knew who he was... Dr. Carl Blakeson.. an asshole if ever there was one.. one of those humans that made her wish she were of another race... He shamed humans by his attitude.. his demeanor... it was tooo bad he was one of the best in space medicine.. He also knew vast amounts about aliens... and... He made it clear from the get go that he HATED androids... but Fallon was not about to let anyone begin that kind of shit on this trip... She had to put the good Dr back in line...

Blakeson shot a hateful glance back to Fallon... but said nothing more... snarling to himself instead...

"Forgive me if I am a nuisance, ma'am.. Perhaps I am better off waiting for my scheduled maintenance to attempt to grow acquainted with you."

She turned to Adam.. laying a hand upon His arm...

"listen to me.. You are not a nuisance... please do not think you are... I would be most pleased to talk to you.. no matter what ANYONE says... and... please... call me Fallon.. not ma'am... I am no where near a ma'am...

Oh and Adam... please... tell me.. why did you disengage your emotion chip? Is there something wrong.. can I take a quick look for You... I am sure Your voice is much more pleasant with the chip in place... "

You will treat anyone you come into contact on this ship with the proper respect.. If you do not.. I will report you to your director... IS THAT UNDERSTOOD DR. BLAKESON... "

Practically their entire section of the ship (save for most of the cybernetic units) turned or leaned to see what all the commotion was all about, just before rocketing through the wormhole. Adam cocked his head curiously to one side as he observed Fallon's behavioral response to the man that had shouted angrily just a mere moment ago, while the rest of the passengers eased back into their seats.

Adam deduced from the sound patterns of their voices, that Dr. Blakeson's reaction, as well as Fallon's own reaction was due to undue stress - be it from the rigors of space travel, or of war. His response in offering his apologies of annoyance was only to ease any levels of stress between himself and her that may have been elevated from the rouse. The tender touch of her hand upon his arm said otherwise, however, as she began to speak:

"Listen to me.. You are not a nuisance... please do not think you are... I would be most pleased to talk to you.. no matter what ANYONE says... and... please... call me Fallon.. not ma'am... I am no where near a ma'am..."

With his brow rising in intrigue, he was about to respond regarding her last statement - his usual, curious self still trying to identify with human phrases and sayings.

"Oh and Adam... please... tell me.. why did you disengage your emotion chip? Is there something wrong.. can I take a quick look for You... I am sure Your voice is much more pleasant with the chip in place... "

Rather than slyly turn his emotion chip back on, he kept it off - his responses being, for the most part, verbose and accurate.

"I am in no need for maintenance as of this moment, Fallon. Tech assistant Davis Garand of the Fellowship of Global Cybernetics gave me a thorough maintenance check before departing. As for my emotion chip, I disengaged it before meeting you, so as not allow my emotions to create any sort of.. attachment, if you will, with you."

He paused, as if allowing her time to absorb everything which he had said before continuing.

"However, because we will be undoubtedly be meeting on several occasions for maintenance purposes, I'm sure there will be several more opportunities for us to speak more pleasantly."

A deep voice from behind spoke up, in almost a panicked tone.

"Adam! Adam! What are you doing?! Have you gone mad?!! You're speaking to a human! If your superiors find out, you'll be scrap for sure!"

It was another cybernetic unit, his emotion chip clearly gaining the best of him - his cybernetic brain apparently not able to comprehend all the varying emotions coursing through him. The unit let out a quiet yelp before continuing..

"What am I saying? We'll all be scrap! We're being sent to our deaths, can't you see?!?! Adam, Adam - you gotta... You gotta get out of here!"

Suddenly the unit removed its bonds from the chair before leaping toward the nearby airlock, but not before being blown into scrap metal as he indicated previously - by a heavy laser blast from one of the soldiers on board.

"Alright, alright.. Calm down people," the soldier said aloud before speaking into a communication device that was concealed within his gear. "It was just a 'droid that lost its wits. Nothing we could do but blast it to scrap, otherwise it would have burst out of the airlock."

Adam slowly glanced toward Fallon after the commotion died down, a look of concern on his face before speaking.

"That unit was clearly in need of repair."

She smiled, almost as if amused by his obvious statement.. but there was clearly something else in her eyes. They seemed to search within him, almost as if speaking to him without actually doing so - it was then in that moment, as if prompted by her eyes - he closed his own, and activated his emotion chip. Slowly, his eyes opened again, a lighter hue of the blue in his eye revealed before meeting his eyes with her own again - a smile almost immediately forming upon his lips.

"Fallon! It's a unique privilege to meet you!"

In almost a complete turnaround from his previous demeanor, Adam's voice wasn't as monotonous as before, and his was animated with a turning of his torso toward her - not afraid to gaze directly into her eyes as before. After all, why should he be? This woman showed him a kindness he only knew from those inside of the FGC. His voice quickly lowered to a whisper as he leaned closer to her:

"I must thank you for... 'speaking' with Dr. Blakeson a while ago. Even with my emotion chip turned of, it was most unsettling."

"Adam! Adam! What are you doing?! Have you gone mad?!! You're speaking to a human! If your superiors find out, you'll be scrap for sure!"
"What am I saying? We'll all be scrap! We're being sent to our deaths, can't you see?!?! Adam, Adam - you gotta... You gotta get out of here!"

~ Fallon turned as the Cy.. seemed to go.. crazy.. she knew that Cy's could not actually do that... but then again... it was obvious that the unit was suffering a malfunction... a short.. somewhere deep within it's thought processes... She wondered who had examined that particular Unit before departure.. All Cy's were to undergo maintenance before a trip like this... to prevent exactly that from happening.. if that Unit had gotten the door open... Fallon shuddered at the thought.. she really hated space travel...

The blast made her jump.. and she cringes back some.. leaning into Adam as the rogue Unit is blown apart by a carefully shot laser blast from the Soldier...

Fallon shook her head sadly... whoever had been assigned to examine that Unit had badly missed an obvious problem.. she would have to deal with that once they arrived...

"That unit was clearly in need of repair."

Adam's obvious statement made her smile... a genuine smile .. she turned to look at the Cy sitting next to her.. and found herself staring into His eyes... she .. she was lonely.. and in desperate need of a friend she could trust.. she did not quite know why... but she felt Adam would be that ... friend... that trust... she could not pull her gaze away from His... she again wished His emotion chip was activated... she closed her eyes for a moment.. trying to get a handle on her roaming thoughts.. when her eyes fluttered open again... she found herself locked in His gaze once more.. only... there was a subtle change... to that hue in His eyes... and His smile... a gorgeous smile formed upon His lips...

"Fallon! It's a unique privilege to meet you!"

She realized then.. that He had switched on His emotion chip... His voice.. His tone... everything seemed to change about Him... and Fallon... found herself even more mesmorized by the Cy.... and more attracted to Him...

Her own smile spread across her face...

"much better... so much better Adam... and the privilege is all mine.. to meet One such as You... and be able to speak to You this way"

She was amazed when He turned to face her... looking and seeing directly into her eyes... He leaning close.. for a moment Fallon thought He was going to kiss her...
THAT would have been a first... for humans and Cy's did NOT intermingle.. at ALL... talking was about it.. and even that was rare.. it was usually one word or one sentance.. a question.. answer.. or command... not a real conversation.. like this... But again.. Fallon had been different growing up.. having whole conversations with Cy's.. and anything else mechanical.. whether they answered or not.. some did.. here and there... most ignored her...

His voice whispering in her ear was soft... deep.. and she found herself holding her breath for a moment as He spoke..

"I must thank you for... 'speaking' with Dr. Blakeson a while ago. Even with my emotion chip turned off, it was most unsettling."

"Dr. Blakeson hates ... well... you... your kind.. Adam.. He is a purest and believes that ... machines of any kind do not deserve a consciousness.. let alone any intelligence.. Just ignore him and stay out of his way... K"

The 2 pull away from each other.. Fallon knew that if she got too close to Adam.. at least in public like this... people would talk... Hell they already did talk a out her and her tolerance for Cy's... and Aliens... she did not need anymore talk going around.. she liked her job... and did not want to jeapordize it... but she could not help the attraction she felt...

"Fallon... I need You up here on the flight deck please" she heard the announcement from the pilot...

Casting a glance at Adam.. "Probably just routine" she whispered to Him... as she rose.. and with a Soldier at her side... she made her way to the flight deck to see what was needed...

"Fallon.. what are you doing back there... the Guard tells me your ... talking... to one of ... them... again... You know this has to STOP... If your new commander.. once we land.. finds you having non-work related conversations with them... you know you could be fired.. part of the problem here is they are starting to think they are equal with US... and they are NOT... Cybernetics are MACHINES Fallon.. don't start thinking of them otherwise.. no matter what they look or sound like.. ok... "

She simply nodded... hating being spoken to like she was a child... or that she was stupid... and she hated the pilot thinking he was helping her... she knew it was not the guard that said anything.. she had seen Dr. Blakeson on the comlink... that bastard...

She left the flight deck.. her eyes cast down... a dirty look given to Blakeson... "asshole" she sneered at him as she passed his grinning face... she did not take her seat next to Adam.. instead retreating into the back of the ship... alone ~

Perplexed by her sudden paging, Adam merely sat back into his chair - casting a glance outside one of the nearby windows of the rugged ship. Figures, numbers, algorithms, statistics and facts of the stars that dotted the black abyss - they all ran through his mind as usual. His artificial sensors detected a being making their way down the corridor of the ship - no doubt it was Fallon - the figure hesitated for only a brief moment before continuing on.

He whispered under his breath, as if carrying on a conversation with Fallon. "The Halicon Nebula.. A marvel of stellar phenomena.."

When no reply was given, he naturally turned his attention to the vacated seat next to him, his mouth gaping open only the slightest as he craned his neck over the seats. She had taken a solitary seat toward the rear of the spacecraft, her face expressing deep thought, though never the slightest bringing her attention back to him. Arching an eyebrow slightly, Adam settled himself back into his chair - and began pondering to himself.

"Was it something I said or did? Surely, she didn't appear disturbed with me - quite the opposite, in fact. Perhaps her superior officer assigned her to a different regiment or she was granted a new position?"

With a frustrated sigh, he thought it best to switch off his emotion chip before he was flooded with varying emotions that he perhaps had never experienced yet. Instead of closing his eyes this time, he merely quirked his neck to the side for a brief second before he found himself settling back into a logical state of mind. However, he was still intrigued by Miss Fallon Georgia - it wasn't everyday a cyborg ran into a human being outside of the FGC, willing to carry on a conversation.

Still, the chances of human/cyborg relations bridging the gap was minimal; It was something every android and FGC associate knew. Judging the behavior of humans and aliens before boarding the vessel, Adam had a sort of intuition that the flight was going to be turbulent among the crew. Dr. Blakeson was one shining example, and before Fallon had even proceeded to warn Adam to stray from Blakeson, Adam had already known to have as few dealings with him, as possible.

The ship suddenly began to rock, as alarms immediately blared out - bright, green laser fire screamed passed the windows as the transport ship began taking evasive manuevers. Fortunately for their ship, a nearby UNA starbase occupied a former NUA sector where dozens of UNA starships changed their courses to intercept the enemy ship firing on the transport.
It became evident to Adam that the lonely ship was outnumbered, but definitely not to be taken lightly - as indicated by the number of ships that began firing upon it.

Adam could hear the pilot in the cabin, "Hyperdrive is damaged! We're taking a detour to Starbase Delta-Iota!"
Somebody replied over the comlink: "Looks like you don't have a god-damned choice, do ya?!"

Finally able to catch a glimpse of the enemy ship that had fired upon him, his mouth gaped open in fascination as he thought to himself. "If we had not been so near a starbase with as many allied starships as there are, our chances of survival would have been 3,232,515 to 1!" He couldn't help but turn back around to see how Fallon was carrying on with the sudden change in the atmosphere.. She appeared terrified. "Perhaps she is not used to the rigors of space travel," Adam pondered to himself, yet again.

The view of the enemy ship began to fade as their transport vessel turned away, toward the starbase - though he could still see allied starships attacking with various weaponry. At least three appeared damaged beyond salvation, but one of the larger allied ships fired strong beams that apparently beat the enemy ship into submission. A large section of the ship began to implode, a rear section breaking off as it's speed was greatly reduced - however, inertia carried it away.

The transport vessel's captain came over the ship's communication again:
"Alright, folks.. It appears UNA ships were successful in taking out that Naxos 'Utley' class vessel - not without a few losses of our own - but we're okay. We're going to have to dock with Starbase Delta-Iota for a few days until hyperdrive is restored, which means whatever mission you're on will be delayed. Delta-Iota will accomodate most of you, I'm sure.. and as for the cyborgs - you will report to cargo bay 78."

Several of the other cybernetic units looked around at each other, most unaffected by what had just transpired - a couple with their emotion chips engaged taken aback by everything, until forcing themselves to switch off their chips.
Adam stood from his seat, as did most of the passengers in the transport, when the vessel began to dock with starbase. It wasn't long until the doors suddenly flew open, and access inside of the starbase was open - though all of the "inferior" cyborgs waited for humans and aliens to exit the ship before them.

She was last.. And intrigued by this human female, Adam made sure to follow her as closely as possible.

~ Fallon had been lost in her own thoughts when the alarms blared...the cries over the communications links indicating that they were under attack... UNDER ATTACK..

Grabbing hold ... she strapped herself in.. something she had not done when she had sat back down.. and just in time as the ship lurched... rocked... she thought for sure they were doing a barrel roll... gods SHE HATED SPACE TRAVEL...

Why.. why were they.. a simple transport ship.. being attacked.. what were they carrying that could possibly warrent action like this... her mind was racing thru the questions...

Then.. almost as quickly as it had begun.. it was all over.. the transport ship was veering away from the attacking ship.. other war ships were coming to their defense... and the thought came into her mind.. alot of ships seemed to be racing to their defense.. and again she wondered.. what were they carrying that seemed so very important.. to the enemy as well as the allies...

But those thoughts were chased away by the following announcement...

Fallon was shaken up.. and took her time before exiting the ship.. as she passed the Cy's.. she stopped.. turning to face them..

"Once you report to Cargo Bay 78.. and check in.. I want you to some see me.. one at a time... in the Maintenance and Repair Facility.. I want to check you guys out for myself.. after that little.. space dance we just did with the enemy ship... and after that little melt down that happened before that... I need to double check that all is well with you... thank you"

She turned away... the Cy's would not question her order... they needed to be checked.. she no longer trusted whoever had performed their last maintenance check... not after the meltdown of that one... that had to be blasted... shaking her head at that whole situation.. she exited the ship..making her way into the docking bay...

She paused to talk to a man who was directing them to their temporary quarters...

"You have the pleasure of having private quarters.. Ma'am.. " He intoned.. "Just off the Maintenance Facility.. It is Base Floor... suite 310... It's small... but I think you will find it comfortable.. " He looked her up and down and smiled... then winked... Fallon found him to be nothing more than sleazy and did not like the idea of him knowing what suite she was in... but she had no choices.. as this was an unscheduled stop... she would have to deal...

"Thank you...." she paused..

"Coreman Third Class Henry Russel" He chimed in...

"Thank you Coreman" she made sure not to use his name.. not wishing him to feel to .. familiar with her.. she did not offer her name... altho she figured he already had found it out.. a scan of the chip embedded at the back of her neck had all her vital information on it... name.. rank... job title.. blood type.. home.. birthplace.. parents..... all humans had that chip.. it was the law..

She did not realize that Adam was closely behind her... nor did she look... she just wanted to get to her suite.. and then to the maintenance facility so she could get down to the business of checking the Cy's.. she probably could have fixed the hyperdrive on the ship for that matter.. but not alone.. and the Pilot would probably never let a woman near it anyways.. some old habits and ideas die hard even in this day and age...

Once in her room... she took a moment to relax... changing into her maintenance jumpsuit... the black jumpsuit fit her like a glove.. her first name and rank stitched onto the arm... otherwise she liked the plainness of the suit...

She shook out her hair a bit..gliding her fingers thru the crimson curls... not bothering to pull it back... she letting the silken curly mane fall free to her shoulders.. the door slips open and she steps out to seek the person in charge of maintenance.. and to await the first of the Cy's...

That was when she thought of Adam... again... and she realized she had not really seen Him since her... talking to .. by the Pilot aboard ship... and she realized... she WANTED to see Him... what was it about Him that ... attracted her so..... ~

Several of the androids glanced about curiously, a couple even quickly peering outside of windows to glance back to where the Andromedan warship had attacked them. Evidently, the enemy had made a surprise jump into hyperspace, exiting at just a precise moment that the transport ship had exited the wormhole. This wormhole was one of the reasons the war had started, both wanted to claim territorial rights to the wormhole - but neither would accept giving it away.

The cyborgs began lining up now to exit the docked transport ship, but there was a hesitation as somebody began speaking. Adam craned his neck slightly to see who the rather short female was that was speaking, to find out it was Fallon.

"Once you report to Cargo Bay 78.. and check in.. I want you to some see me.. one at a time... in the Maintenance and Repair Facility.. I want to check you guys out for myself.. after that little.. space dance we just did with the enemy ship... and after that little melt down that happened before that... I need to double check that all is well with you... thank you"

She turned, making her exit as a few cyborgs immediately began their task of heading to the base's cargo bay. A pair began striking up a quiet conversation:

"What do you suppose may have caused 6-ND to malfunction? Surely, one of the FGC associates would have recognized such a malfunction to his central processing unit."

"Yes, there is reason for concern. FGC maintenance would have quickly recognized and resolved the issue with 6-ND. I fear a member of the task force on board this vessel may be to blame."

Adam chimed in quietly also, as they began stepping into the confines of the starbase.

"I do not sense any irregularities of my own, do either of you?"

"I do not, for that is why I suspect 6-ND's demise was not due to carelessness upon inspection. However, should our suspicions prove true - the likelihood of somebody believing our case would prove practically impossible."

Adam hesitated as he followed the group of androids down a quiet corridor that took them to the cargo bay. It was that unit's words that brought Adam to believe he had a feeling; what humans called "intuition".

"... I would not toss it aside so quickly. I have had a brief relation with one of the maintenance chiefs assigned to our care while on our voyage - she could be most helpful with our plight. I will speak to her regarding the matter if she happens to inspect me."

He even indicated toward the fiery-haired woman speaking with a taller man at the moment, which he could easily overhear the man speaking about her temporary quarters. However, it wasn't long until he became out of earshot and approached the cargo bay.

The cargo bay doors hissed open, the 'borgs filing into the large, open area. Most isolated themselves to the rear of the room, either standing upright or taking a seat upon a stable object. Adam glanced about curiously, many of the other units flipping open a patch of skin on their forearm as they began a self-diagnosis. Others assisted the more badly damaged ones, opening a port on the back of the head that revealed circuitry on the back of the head and using a small tool that every android came equipped with.

Self-diagnostics took no longer than 30 seconds, which Adam promptly did himself. Like many other units that completed their diagnostics, he simply idled in an open space as he awaited further orders. Most of the 'borgs did not have their emotion chip active at the moment, as they found anxiety to be something of a mystery - they could never understand the meaning behind its feeling...

Several moments passed until, finally, the doors hissed open again and a few individuals entered in unusual garb - name and rank etched onto the arm, and the maintenance mission patch on the other. To Adam's surprise, Fallon was actually one of the few.. she was much like many other human females, attractive - the curves of her body forming an almost simplistic, yet enchanting figure.

Of the individuals, one spoke aloud:

"Alright, cybernetic units! Form up and wait your turn, the better you cooperate, the sooner this will end for all of us."

The maintenance workers then divided, each indicating a cybernetic unit to follow them to an empty area of the cargo bay. By happenstance, Fallon called aloud: "Cybernetic unit P-31! Follow me.[/b]"

Rising his brow out of amazement, Adam did not hesitate as he followed the woman whom he previously met on board the ship. Without delay, he began removing his clothing, to allow her easier access to vital systems that she needed to check. However, Adam did not strike up a conversation immediately.. He merely kept his gaze locked ahead of himself - again in idle mode, awaiting for further orders.

Fallon

~ One odd thing about Fallon.. that seemed to baffle the other maintenance men.. she liked to do her inspections in private.. and to facilitate this.. she commondeered an unused office... the men thought it strange... but she had been hailed as one of the best.. so one challenged her as she called the cyborg forward..

"Cybernetic unit P-31! Follow me"

She had almost called Him Adam.. she knew that would have drawn some interesting looks... but she manged to correct herself before she did indeed make that slip up....

She led Him to the office she had taken over.. the door slipping shut behind them with a soft "sshhhuusshhh"...

Already he was beginning to strip down for inspection.. normally that did not phase Fallon... but when she turned and saw Him shirtless.. she paused.. her breath catching... "don't" she stopped Him from removing His pants.. at least for the moment..

"Adam.. talk to me... Please.. and if .. if you have shut down Your emotion chip.. please... re-engage it... "

She turned to her bag of tricks... as she called it .. it looked like a Doctor's bag.. perhaps that was what she was.. a Doctor for these guys... she retrieving what would be needed... she would examine HIm... but she already knew that is most likely was not necessary for this particular unit... but a part of her ... wanted to.. for it was interaction with the handsome Cy...

"I want to know Your thoughts on the Cybernetic unit 6-ND and his meltdown on the ship... strange that it happened just before we were attacked... I wonder if You have thoughts on that as well.."

She was curious as to what Adam may know.. her own intuition told her something just was not right... not right at all...

She heard some voices outside.. startled voices... then.. yelling...

"NO NO.. MUST GET OUT.. SCRAP.. WE WILL BE MELTED DOWN INTO SCRAP.. NO NO.. HELP US... MUST GET OUT"

"Halt.. M-55 .. HALT..."

casting a glance to Adam.. she moved to the door.. pressing the button to allow it to open ... peering out... she watched in horror as another Cybernetic Unit seemed to simply melt down... He had actually gotten ahold of a laser rifle.. and was aiming it at the guards as they approached... when the Unit heard the slight sound of the door opening.. the laser aimed directly at her.. and fired... with a scream she dove to the floor.. yelling for Adam to duck...

"ADAM.. GET OUT OF THE WAY" as the laser came screaming into the room~

"Don't."

Adam blinked at the order as he ceased any further action of removing his garments.

"Adam.. talk to me... Please.. and if .. if you have shut down Your emotion chip.. please... re-engage it..."

He found the order rather odd, as not many humans cared to bother with a cyborg being able to mimic human emotions. In fact, they'd rather they didn't even have the capability at all. However, this one instance - he did not instantly reactivate his emotion chip - as he found it unnecessary, especially for the coming maintenance procedures he was fully aware of.

Daring not to watch as she retrieved her required tools, Adam simply stared forward - though could notice much through his heightened senses what it was she was doing.

"I want to know Your thoughts on the Cybernetic unit 6-ND and his meltdown on the ship... strange that it happened just before we were attacked... I wonder if You have thoughts on that as well.."

Having said that, Adam then decided to reactivate his emotion chip. She either understood something mischievous was afoot, or was simply making idle chat with him - either way, he recognized it as his only option of being able to discuss the episode.
Preparing himself to speak, he took in a breath:

"NO NO.. MUST GET OUT.. SCRAP.. WE WILL BE MELTED DOWN INTO SCRAP.. NO NO.. HELP US... MUST GET OUT"

"Halt.. M-55 .. HALT..."

He blinked as he heard the shouting through the walls of the room, to which Fallon proceeded to open the door. Turning slightly, he gazed over his shoulder to see what the commotion was all about - though he needed no explanation or visual understanding to know just what was happening. A rogue cybernetic unit had seized an unsuspecting guard's laser rifle.
This was another episode of what had happened on the transport vessel, with 6-ND.

"ADAM.. GET OUT OF THE WAY"

Unbeknowst to Fallon, Adam had already taken cover against a wall - out of visual range for the unit to target - just as laser fire erupted from the rogue, screaming past a diving Fallon and searing the walls of the room with a wicked hiss. In that cyborg's moment of firing, the multiple guard units that had hurried into the cargo bay blasted the malfunctioning android into pieces.
As fast as the commotion had risen, it quickly died down - the security personnel filing out of the cargo bay as the other maintenance technicians began shutting down the idling androids, for their own precautionary measures. One even shouted to Fallon as she gathered herself and began climbing back to her feet.

"Fallon, you'd best shut down that one you're working with in there. Your luck, he'd probably end up wanting to rape you or something."

Adam turned to look toward her as she simply waved them off, stepping back into the room and sealing the door. Perhaps startling her, Adam began speaking as he stood at attention in the middle of the room now.

"M-55 was malfunctioning similarly to 6-ND. The FGC is not to blame, ma'am."

Although she had instructed him previously to call her by name, he simply did not wish to make her feel any ill feelings toward him - especially after the two units acted the way they did. He slowly turned to gaze toward her, her chest rising up and down in a hypnotic breathing pattern as she seemed more concentrated on relaxing her nerves after having been shot at.

"I suspect a saboteur who harbors ill feelings toward cyborgs harmed cybernetic units 6-ND and M-55."

~ Fallon had ignored the guard who called out to her to shut down the Cy she had in the room with her... letting the door close tightly before he could say anymore... she was a bit unsteady on her feet... and leaned to the wall for a moment to get her barings... her dive to the floor as the laser shot out over her head had knocked the wind out of her... and spooked her... that android could have killed someone... what the hell was going on...

Turning her attention to Adam... she nodded to His words.. about to say something... when she heard pounding on the door...

"Fallon... FALLON... Mechanic Fallon Georgia... open this door at once!!!"

Fallon stared at the door.. the strode quickly to Adam...

"listen to me... I am shutting You down.. for only for a few moments.. until I can calm them... "

And with those words.. she quickly shut down the andriod with a shock from a electromagnetic pulser she carried on her belt... it was meant to shut down androids and other machines quickly if needed....

"MECHANIC GEORGIA"... the words were cut off as Fallon opened the door with a swoosh ... In strode her commanding Officer.. the Pilot from the ship.. and
Dr. Blakeson of all people...with a couple of guards tagging along... They were relieved to see the android shut down..

"Fallon.. we do not know what is going on here.. but for now.. all the androids from our transport ship are being shut down and are staying that way... we are going to do a throrough inspection of each.. and at this point.. they may be disassembled at this point" The commander's voice pretty much told her that she had no say in the matter at all... apparently when the M-55 was having his meltdown.. another android did as well.. almost killing a mechanic that was inspecting him...

Fallon nodded... "I completely understand.. Commander" she answers... her gaze moving to Dr. Blakeson and lingering there.. He was walking over to Adam...

"I don't like.. or trust this one" he murmered... staring at the stilled form...

"He is not there for you to like or dislike Doctor" Fallon countered..."I will check him out .. since I was just beginning my inspection of him anyways"...

"No... Fallon.. I will send someone to gather him up with the rest.. I do not want anyone alone with any of the ships androids until we know what is going on"... He left no choice in his voice as he and the Doctor and the others left...

Fallon had to think fast... she did not want Adam being taken away... she didn't know why... but she just did not.. she heard the Commander giving the order to the guards to gather the Cy's... Fallon thought for a moment then decided what to do.. with her Commander.. the Dr.. and the Pilot gone... the guards would be coming for Adam... but would have no idea what Adam looked like....

Turning to the android... she reactivated Him... bringing Him back to life....

Before He could say anything.. she spoke .."Adam listen to me... the Commander of the Transport has ordered that all androids from the ship be shut down and remain so.. until they can figure out what is going on... and there was mention of ... scrapping all of you... now listen to me... I need you to ACT human.... I am going to dress you in a mechanics jumpsuit... and you and I are going to go to my private quarters... OK... just.. follow my lead... "

She tossed to him a set of overalls she had in her bag...

"hurry Adam.. before they get here.. "....

***********************************

The little ploy worked... Fallon managed to leave the small office she had commendeered... and to any who saw them.. they simpley looked like to... close friends... she holding His hand as she led Him along...
Bumping into the guards that were heading to gather up P-31 Cyborg.. Fallon explained that He had already been taken away... and she was all set... with a smile she sent them on their way... leading Adam to the safety of her room... ~

Fallon seemed in a slight panic as her superiors began rapping loudly upon the large, heavy door.
"Listen to me... I am shutting You down.. for only for a few moments.. until I can calm them..."

With his emotion chip still engaged, his eyes widened in his own panic - shut down was almost like death to an android. He did not know how long he would be shut down, or if he would ever be restarted.
"Might I suggest, ma'am, that--" and he was instantly cut off, his artificial body almost falling to the floor if he weren't so close to a wall.

Little did Adam know, that Miss Fallon Georgia had a plan up her sleeve..
____________________________________________________________________

The next thing he knew, he was reactivated again. However, before he could even regain all of his bearings and remember what had last happened - she immediately swung into action.
"Adam listen to me... the Commander of the Transport has ordered that all androids from the ship be shut down and remain so.. until they can figure out what is going on... and there was mention of ... scrapping all of you... now listen to me... I need you to ACT human.... I am going to dress you in a mechanics jumpsuit... and you and I are going to go to my private quarters... OK... just.. follow my lead..."

It must have taken Adam almost 0.68 seconds to register what was going on - for him, that was nearly an eternity. Just then, Fallon tossed him a pair of clothing to change into.
"Hurry Adam.. before they get here.."

Act human.. It wasn't in his programming to exactly mimic his creators, though he had familiarized himself with the many mannerisms of human beings. Mostly it involved carrying himself different, humans didn't appear to walk as stiff and straight as androids did - along with speech.

He dressed himself quickly, as Fallon seemed to pace slightly after having gathered her own belongings - occasionally watching the door. Once he was dressed in the rather loose clothe, he looked to her as she took his hand into her own. Perplexed by this, he merely followed her lead - as per her instructions - as she led them out of the cargo bay... All of the cybernetic units had been shut down, many of them already removed for whatever it was Central Command had in mind.

To adjust himself to act more human.. Adam swung his free arm just the slightest, and relaxed his hand - instead of a usual gently clenched fist. He also attempted to smile the slightest, as if enjoying a stroll with his "significant other", when suddenly..

"Chief! Fallon Georgia!"

It was a pair of guards and maintenance workers that called out just ahead of them.

"We're going to retrieve Cybernetic unit P-31, is there--"

She quickly cut them off, waving them off with the bag in her other hand.

"That unit has already been taken care of, gentlemen. I'm sure he's probably been moved to its new location."

The one speaking to her nodded softly as he began eyeballing Adam, though neglected to say or introduce himself to her "friend". Fallon merely charmed the man with a smile before he motioned the others to join him as they marched passed Adam and Fallon.

Once a clear distance away, he looked to her and sighed in relief - which appeared to come as a surprise to the woman.
"For a minute there, I thought he was staring straight into my circuits! We must becareful, Fallon.."

She obliged as she entered in her access code to a nearby panel next to a door, that immediately hissed open, and closed after their entrance. This was Maintenance Chief Fallon Georgia's temporary personal quarters.

~ Fallon breathed a heavy sigh of relief that they had managed to get past the guards and others.. and into her personal quarters...

She hoped... that there were just too many androids for her to have to worry that they would discover the P-31 Android Unit.. missing.... She would just have to *think fast* if she was questioned on that...

She looked at Adam...

"I think it would be best if you stay in here for a bit.. until I get a better handle on what is happening with Your kind.. at least the one's that were aboard our ship...
I will need to examine You Adam... "

She trusted Him... well.. she trusted her own instincts which told her that Adam was different from the others..

She knew the story of Adam... How He was the first to discover His individulality... why He was graced with the name Adam.. that going back to biblical times.. which Fallon found... well.. interesting.. she wished she could have talked to the person who named Him Adam...
She knew all about William and Deanna Gruber.. they *raising* Adam...
The story of Maintenance Cyborg Unit p-31, Adam.. was well known to any who worked in that particular field.. His story was well known outside the field as well.. and she had to wonder if any of this had to do with... WHO.. Adam was...

Even she herself had been... excited... to meet Adam.. as soon as she realized it really was Him... she had suspected as soon as she laid eyes on Him... but did not want to get her hopes up... but once she knew... she had managed to contain her excitement and pleasure at meeting the P-31.. Even she was a bit in awe at meeting the Cy that had begun it all... but...

Would someone want to ... rid the *world*.. such that it is.. of Adam? Is someone afraid that since HE was the first to discover His own individuality... the first to achieve self awareness.. and that was what it all came down to.. right.. perhaps someone was afraid that ... Adam... would go further down that... road...

Was someone afraid that Adam... would become.. something akin to a god... that His.. evolution would continue???

Fallon shook her head as she sat down... why were all these thoughts racing thru her head.. the here and now.. she had to think of the here and now..

She had the deep down feeling that Adam was the target.. not the ship.. not the others... she had a feeling that whoever did this had either... wanted the guards to disengage... another word for death... all the Cyborgs/Androids on that ship.. or that perhaps wanted the malfunctioning one to.. disengage Adam... or... and this was what Fallon believed... a virus had been let loose.. and was the root cause of these malfunctions... a virus that had been... *expected* to infect Adam as well.. and it had not... Fallon had to wonder why it had not... but first... she had to make sure He indeed was clean and not infected...

She also decided... she would not lie to the Android...

"Listed to me Adam.. run a virus scan.. please.. I think perhaps the malfuctions of the others were caused by a very well placed... VERY hard to detect virus... I want You to scan Yourself first... then I am going to do it... and Adam.. I wonder... if whoever did this... may be after YOU.. "

"I think it would be best if you stay in here for a bit.. until I get a better handle on what is happening with Your kind.. at least the one's that were aboard our ship...I will need to examine You Adam..."

He nodded softly in agreement.

"That would seem like a logical thing to do, under the circumstances," he said matter-of-factly.

His soft colored eyes watched her as she seemed to drift into thought for a moment, her own eyes wandering - occasionally gazing upon him. Adam was tempted to probe her thoughts, but thought better of it as it would have been rude. Instead, he merely quirked his head to one side to break the monotony before Fallon then spoke up, the tone of her voice being recognized by Adam as having a hint of anxiety.

"Listen to me Adam.. run a virus scan.. please.. I think perhaps the malfuctions of the others were caused by a very well placed... VERY hard to detect virus... I want You to scan Yourself first... then I am going to do it... and Adam.. I wonder... if whoever did this... may be after YOU.. "

Again, he quirked his head to the side. This time however, he was looking directly at her..

"I have already self-diagnosed myself before departure to this sector. My results revealed no anomalies. However.. I will run a diagnosis once again."

The android paused, his eyes staring straight forward with the occasional twitch of his head - as if locating each directory in his artificial brain. Then after only a brief moment, he stared directly at her.

"No anomalies have been found, Fallon. You may begin your own search, if you wish. I do not see if there is a malicious virus, why it would be in attempt to specifically target me. I do, however, suspect that if there is some sort of virus that has been set out - it is in attempt to harm or destroy cybernetic lifeforms."

He paused for a moment as she silently began to start her own search. Compared to his own self-diagnostics, diagnostics with a maintenance worker had the advantage of being able to still function normally instead of going into a "stasis" mode as he had done not more than a minute ago.

"I have a theory that an Andromedan spy may have, in fact, infiltrated the UNA. If anything, they were more than likely to have perpetrated these events. I have the knowledge that even though cybernetic lifeforms - particularly androids, like myself - are despised by most humans, they know that our part in this war has been invaluable."

Again, he paused briefly. A brief sense of hope flickered over the android... This woman may very well be the key to uniting cyborg and human.

"If you could, Fallon.. Might I suggest investigating the matter? Locating our transport ship's manifest may help you start with your investigation."

I do, however, suspect that if there is some sort of virus that has been set out - it is in attempt to harm or destroy cybernetic lifeforms."

~ Fallon nodded to His words, yet she still had to wonder if it were HE that they were after. But couldn't any cybernetic lifeform advance? Perhaps, but Adam had already done it, had advanced and was technically the *father* to the race, for He began it with His own self awareness.

She shook the thoughts from her mind. "Stop trying to analyze everything Fallon" she scolds herself. "Just deal with the task at hand"... she again chided herself, moving to Adam.

Fallon was a bit more... hands on... then alot of Techs.. she used the same scanners, the same intruments. But she also like to touch, to see, as well. She had Adam lay back, usually she preferred an exam table, but she had done, so she had Him lay back on the bed.

"Just relax" she says, as she takes out her necessary scanners and tools. Unzipping His maintence jumpsuit, she bares His chest. First she touches where His heart would be, the pulse there of course was not a heart, but the pulse told her, by touch as opposed to scanners, that all His internal components are working, as they should be. His skin was warm, and so very soft to the touch, Fallon for a moment found herself forgetting that He was not human.

He spoke as she examined Him...

He was right. That would explain what was happening. A virus would eventually cripple the androids, altho it would move slowly. A virus that caused the androids to turn on humans, to attack humans or each other, would certainly facilitate the demise of the androids faster. Humans would react exactly as they did here, by neutrilizing ALL the androids, no questions asked. Fallon had no doubts that the androids that had been shut down were already being destroyed as a "precaution"...

She did not want to see that happen to Adam.. that was.. murder.. at least in her eyes. These androids were alive, self aware. Even if most humans and even other aliens saw them as nothing more than smart robots...

"I just wish I knew Adam, exactly what was happening and why. But one thing at a time. We find the *what* first, then maybe the *why* will answer itself.."

She leans down close to Him.. "One thing tho, I will NOT let the Commander or that ass of a Doctor, or anyone else, shut You down. So, from now on, You are my assistant, Nathanial Rover, at least to any strangers. You are human, You have to act human. I will find out what is happening via the Commander.. ok.. so just stay here..."

Her breath was warm on His skin... moist.. teasing.. even tho she did not mean it to be..

"If you could, Fallon.. Might I suggest investigating the matter? Locating our transport ship's manifest may help you start with your investigation."

"yes, I can get that from the main ship's computer. I will do that and speak to the Commander. Then we can go over it and compare our .. thoughts"

With that, she was out the door, heading to the main docking bay and the ship.

The docking bay was alive with people, the ship seemed to be the main focus of this hive... and she slips in easily along with the many that were moving in and out. The manifest, tho, was not so easy to access. She finding that the ship's main computer was locked out.

"FALLON!".. the voice belonged to the Commander.
"I have been looking for you. Listen, the computer whizes believe the ship's main computer and the androids have been infected with some sort of virus, altho they can not seem to locate it as of yet to be able to wipe it out. So, in order to spare any more strange attacks by the cyborgs.. I am ordering that all of them be dismantled and reprogrammed. As well as the ship's main computer. I need you to help coordinate this, so you will be left here for now. I am taking another ship, along with the co-pilot and the inert cargo, onward to our destination. Once the main ship is cleaned and reprogrammed, I will be back and will pick you and the good Doctor up."

He did not give Fallon any chance to protest. She was to be left behind for now, on Starbase Delta-Iota. With that ass of a Doctor. But she would not have to deal with him, she hoped, because she certainly did not want to. But now she could not get the mainfest from the ship.

Dr. Blakeson appeared a moment later with that slimely smile on his face. Fallon nodded to the Commander, ignoring the Doctor.

"As you wish Commander" she intoned. She had no choice. But at least Adam were with her and safe. ~

~ Dismantled and reprogrammed.. the thought made Fallon cringe. She did not like the idea of doing that to the androids. That would mean wiping out all semblence of who they were. Killing them, so to speak, at least in her eyes. She hated that idea. They each had their own personalities, was it really fair to do this to them?

She turned from the Commander, not even acknowledging the Doctor. She did not want either of them to see the look on her face. She would do as he commanded. She had to. But for now, she just wanted to get back to her room and Adam. To tell Him what was happening.

She was making her way back toward her quarters when she was sidetracked by that silly Coreman who had assigned those quarters to her. He was coming from that very direction. He glared at her, before turning away

"Bitch" he snapped as she passed. Her eyes widened, and she turns to him

"what did you say?"

"I called you a bitch. Firting with me like you were when all this time you had HIM" The coreman points down the hall to her quarters, where Adam stood in the doorway...

The Coreman stalked away, muttering to himself as Fallon got to her quarters, pushing Adam gently back inside.

"what happened"? She already guessed, Coreman Henry had come looking for a peice of ass more than likely and thought he was going to get it from her, that is until he found Adam there ~

He sat up from the bed, the instant she began to rise to her feet. Intrigued by this human female, Adam watched as Fallon hurriedly made her way out the door, quirking his head ever so slightly like a curious animal.

It was the way she acted around him.. Her nervous laughter when she would speak, the sweating of her palms when she introduced herself. Her body's elevated breathing and heartrate, as well as heightened body temperature.
In fact, the method in which she was scanning over his body seemed -- intimate.
Of course, being of artificial life, Adam knew nothing of intimacy or love. He knew only of logic and fact, and his logic dictated that by her actions, Fallon was completely under stress - or she had strong feelings for him.

He would be blunt, as his usual self would be. Once the Maintenance Chief would return, he would confront her regarding her emotions - it was something Adam found fascinating. Given his emotion chip, he was granted a wide array of various human emotions - but could never clearly understand the meaning behind them.

Why did he become frightened when she wanted to shut him down? Why did he become happier upon greeting Fallon?

She did not immediately return, as Adam suspected much. During this time, he took the liberty to conserve base power and toned down the illumination inside her quarters. He also deemed it unnecessary to have his emotion chip engaged for the moment, and decided to enter his own "idle" mode, a "nap" to androids.

He seated himself on a small chair near the entrance, leaning backward only slightly and stretching his legs outward. Folding his hands upon his lap, he then flickered his eyes a brief moment as he took a look around the alien room, becoming familiar with his surroundings, before closing his eyes. He had the luxury of enhanced senses - and could awake milliseconds before a normal human being could react to anything... Phaser fire, a door, a communication chime.

Suddenly, he awoke minutes later. Then there was a chime at the door.. It couldn't have been Fallon - these were her quarters, for the time being! It meant either she was in trouble, or that his whereabouts had been discovered. Surely, they would blame him over her.. All of the cybernetic units were malfunctioning, he must be as well, as far as they were all concerned!

Adam had no time to panic, nor did he feel compelled to as emotions were not overrunning his program. Instead the door suddenly hissed open just after he had jumped from the chair to an adjacent room. A human male Adam did not recognize suddenly entered the quarters, looking around.

The man stepped in closer, allowing the door to seal shut behind him - the man standing still for a moment before speaking:
"Lights!"
The room quickly illuminated, as he grinned in approval, his gaze still focusing on the place. He then spotted something as he stepped toward the small room Adam was attempting to hide in.

The man - evidently, too caught up in looking for whatever it was he was looking for - walked right passed him. Adam merely stepped back closer to the shadows of the room as the man picked up a pair of woman's undergarments, bringing the cloth to his face. He inhaled before exhaling loudly, and chuckling:
"Man oh man, I can't wait to get a piece of her!"

Adam's curiosity got the better of him, and spoke up:
"By 'piece of her', do you mean you wish to take a part of Fallon's body?"

The man shouted in surprise, pulling out his sidearm laser pistol and aiming it into the shadows where Adam was stepping out of. Adam reacted coldly by grabbing onto the laser, pulling it out of the man's grasp who stumbled backward - fear clearly over his face.
"Stop! Please! I didn't know she was yours, sir! Don't hurt me!"

Quirking his brow, Adam did not realize the man mistook him for Fallon's significant other until the man tossed the woman's undergarments back at him. Adam merely looked at them, and recalled what he had done - and did the same, brought the cloth to his face and inhaled. Still curious, he dropped them before looking to the man's name patch over his left breast - it read "Crmn 3rd Henry Russel"

"Do you find inhaling the scent of the cloth to be pleasing, Coreman 3rd Class, Henry Russel?"

The young man's face turned pale as he tried climbing to his feet, feeling his way toward the exit as he watched Adam.
"Look.. It was a mistake, that's all! I thought that... She just.. We were talking... I thought she wanted me!"

Adam began following the young coreman as he got closer and closer to the exit.
"You did not answer my question, Coreman. Do you find inhaling the cloth pleasing? I do recall you chuckling in pleasure"

The door hissed open as Henry Russel snapped:
"Fuck you, man! Fuck you and your bitch of a girlfriend, too!"
He began walking down the hall, Adam only watching from the doorway as Fallon suddenly came into view.

Watching as the young Coreman and Fallon interacted, the woman looked disturbed at what was said as she gently placed a hand on his chest - urging him back inside.
"What happened?

The door sealed shut again after their entrance into her quarters, he looked to her curiously.
"He wanted to inhale the scent of your clothing."
Adam found this all very confusing, as to why the young man would want to inhale the scent of her clothes! If he wished to engage in a relationship with Fallon, he should have courted her the way most humans did.

Fallon stared at Adam almost blankly before proceeding to where her clothing lay scattered in the adjacent room.
"He said he "couldn't wait to get a piece of you". What did he mean exactly, Fallon? Did he want to kill you?"
The android, still shirtless from the young woman's scans, watched her as she seemed taken aback by everything.. The incident just now, and whatever had occurred on her inspection - on that thought, Adam continued, obviously unphased by anything that had transpired:

"Was your inspection productive?"

((Sorry I took so long to answer.. Just been busy and was thinking it was Your post.. SORRY..my mistake))

~ Fallon stood there, still a bit.. perplexed by everything.. She was used to things being.. well.. normal.. and since she had gotten on that ship.. and blasted into space for this trip.. things were far from normal.. and now this Henry kid... what now??

"Adam.. what happened?" She had an idea of what had happened.. as always.. men.. thinking like the pigs they are...

"He wanted to inhale the scent of your clothing."

"He wanted to.. what??" She blinked at Him.. not quite comprehending at that moment what He was talking about.. inhale the scent of her clothing??? Her eyes caught sight of something at Adam's feet... looking down.. she stares.. at her own panties.. wait.. Henry wanted to smell her panties??? Making quite the interesting face.. Fallon shakes her head and bends to grasp the panties from the floor... "I get it.. he was being an ass.. a pig.. is what it was"... but she shuddered then... a shiver that courses thru her... what.. what if Adam had not been there.. what if... she had been there alone??? That was something she did not want to think about.. and was quite grateful that indeed the Cyborg was there...

"He said he "couldn't wait to get a piece of you". What did he mean exactly, Fallon? Did he want to kill you?"

Fallon went pale.. so that WAS what that loser had been thinking.. she stopped cold at Adam's words.. she still staring at her own underwear in her hands... She turns to look at the handsome Cyborg... "No... Adam.. not kill me.. not that at all... " pausing.. she sits down on the bed.. sighing softly... "He wanted to have sex with me.. that is what he ment.. something I do NOT want to do... at all.. with him" she snaps... "Some human men just make me sick with the way they think.. thinking I'm some sort of bimbo.. because I do what I do.. because I am unattached.. because.. I smiled at them... " a low growl escaping her lips... "and people wonder why I LIKE Cyborgs and Androids and Aliens.. "

"Was your inspection productive?"

"oh that.. well... to make a long story short Adam.. we are stuck here for now... the Commander is taking another ship to deliver the inert cargo to the original destination.. In the meantime, the computer geeks, figure that there is a virus, somewhere.. doing something.. and they can not.. with all that fucking brainpower.. figure out what it is or how to stop it.. SO.. the Commander has ordered that all Cyborgs and Androids are to be... dismantled.. for reprogramming at a later time... and the ship's computer is going to be cleaned... as well..."

She stopped, looking up at Adam..

"Listen to me.. You are human.. You have to act, look, and talk human.. do You understand.. You have to keep that emotion chip on at all times... Henry, thank goodness is stupid and obviously thinks you are my boyfriend.. which is good... You need to act like it... I want to keep You safe and to do that... You have to be... human...

And....

Tonight.. once the main base shuts down.. I want to go to the ship.. I need You to analyze the ship computer and see what You find out.. Do You think You can do this and NOT become infected... Adam.. do You think You can outsmart the virus and see it coming??? "

She would not jeapordize Him... if He could not than she would not risk Him connecting to the ship's computer.. but Fallon had a hunch about the amazing Adam.. the first Cyborg to... become aware.. to advance... she had a feeling perhaps He still was... advancing.. beyond what any thought... ~

It had taken Adam only a brief moment, as he began accessing the emotional response database within his core, that controlled the emotion chip. His logic seemed to elude him at the moment - for why, in all his good intentions, would he risk emotions overtaking him? Perhaps there was a flaw with the chip, as a result of the events that were unravelling.

Whatever the reason, Adam deemed Fallon a trustworthy human being - a woman, of all creatures and species. It was then in that nanosecond as soon as the emotion chip was activated again that he felt a shudder - and a wave of images that washed over him. One particular image seemed to repeat of a woman; nurturing, caring, loving.

It was his adoptive "mother", Deanna Gruber. The only woman Adam considered to have "loved".

"Adam.. Adam? Are you listening to me?"

He finally adjusted his glowing blue eyes to watch down upon the only other beautiful woman recorded in his database; Fallon Georgia. A gentle smile formed upon his lips, placing a hand gently upon her shoulder reassuringly.

"Androids are always listening, Fallon.
I have done as you asked, and my emotion chip will now from this moment on - unless you ask of me - remain activated.
"

Now placing his other hand on her shoulder, he gazed down to her in what could only really be defined as... 'admiringly'. The strange little smile that appeared to be stuck on his face then gradually faded, as he fixed his gaze upon her own eyes - his voice almost hushed, as if suspecting somebody was listening in.

"We will go to the ship at oh-two-thirty hours. Security will be lax, if at all any - for there will be a security shift change at that time.
And of course, there is a virus... Myself and other cybernetic units suspected as much during the travel through the wormhole. It is the only logical explanation for both 6-ND and M-55's unfortunate demise.
"

By this time, he realized his hands were resting upon her shoulders for a rather long time - something he wasn't sure if she was comfortable with - and quickly removed his hands. With an unnecessary clearing of his throat, he then stepped back from Fallon to glance about the rather large guest quarters - then to the large window over the bed.

"Just look at it, Fallon... The stars.. To think there is other life out there other than the ones we already know of. I wonder how many other civilizations utilize cybernetics in their everyday living as your people do.
How many of them use them for warfare, or for tasks that they feel they cannot comprehend or deal with.
Do they love them...? Do they treat them as equals?
"

A quiet sigh left his breath before he glanced over his shoulder to the petite woman, who appeared to be rather amazed at the android's sudden 'life'.
She seemed fascinated by him, although Adam could not determine her true feelings for him. He then turned to face her, craning his head slightly before grabbing the shirt he had worn before that rested on her bed.

"You'll have to forgive me, but I have been known to be quite a talkative android when my emotion chip is activated..
Did you know, Fallon... That I am the
only android equipped with its own unique emotion chip?
Which goes to prove my point even further that there is a virus of some kind, intended to inflict damage on the UN's cybernetic forces.
"

He then began to pull the shirt over his head.

"Adam..

I have done as you asked, and my emotion chip will now from this moment on - unless you ask of me - remain activated."

It was like a switch.. well.. yeah.. that is what is was essentially... Fallon disliked the use of emotion inhibitors.. she liked the androids that used their emotion chip.. where as most humans did not.. they wanted the androids to sound and act like the robots they were.. Not Fallon... If she had her way.. she'd remove Adam's emotion chip.. but she never would try that in a million years.. that would be as much of a violation of her morals as deactivating Him would be... but as soon as He spoke, turned those startling blue eyes on her.. and laid His hand to her shoulder.. the difference was amazing.. and... she trembled...
His touch was.... warm... and.. as He laid His other hand to her shoulder... reassuring... but...

was it more than that...??

Fallon found her breath catching for a moment.. It had been so long since she allowed another this close to her.. she had been burned before.. given her heart before.. when another had gotten close to her.. she had all but forgotten Blake.. the Pilot that had cheated on her and ripped her heart out.. but now.. as Adam's hands rested on her shoulders.. she felt a deep stirring.. a lonliness that she had managed to keep at bay for the past months... that lonliness was bubbling forth again..

She quickly agree'd with His thoughts of checking out the ship in the wee hours of the morning... Even tho she did not want Adam to become infected... She was about to question Him on this again when He stepped back from her.. breaking contact... a chill ran thru her..and she suddenly felt even more alone...

Do they treat them as equals?"

"many fear Cy's .. Adam... to them.. Cybernetics, Androids, and *aware* machines.. are a threat to organic life.. to humans, many believe that in creating Cy's.. and in You.. becoming aware... that men played *God*... and that You will lead to the destruction of the human race... that is why You are most often treated as ... almost.. enslaved... owned... out of pure fear... "

Fallon stopped... quieting.. she had not meant to blurt all that out... but she knew.. from her own dealings.. that was the underlying sentiment of so many Humans..

"You'll have to forgive me, but I have been known to be quite a talkative android when my emotion chip is activated..
Did you know, Fallon... That I am the only android equipped with its own unique emotion chip?
Which goes to prove my point even further that there is a virus of some kind, intended to inflict damage on the UN's cybernetic forces."

Blinking.. she looked at him.. unique emotion chip?? That's right... He did... she remembered that information vaguely.. she had read about Adam so long ago.. she never thought she would ever meet Him.. so she had forgotten alot of the information about Him.. no so much forgotten as filed away in her mind... she turned away for a moment.. searching her memory...

She also picked up on Him calling Himself... it... *it's own emotion chip* ... and THAT bugged her.. turning back to face Him.. she about to say something.. when she stopped in mid breath... He stood there.. bare chested.. in most cases..Fallon could have cared less... but He was just so damned handsome... at least to her... she found her heart rate increasing.. and for a moment she hesitates in speaking...

Finally managing to catch herself.. she shakes her head slightly to clear it..

"Adam.. please don't refer to Yourself as *it*... I hate that.. You are You... You are not an *it*.. Please remember that..."

He hesitated momentarily, as his gaze fell upon the small woman before him. Her words were filled with annoyance, that much was obvious in the tone of her voice - but it wasn't exactly him that she found that irritation. Rather, it was his choice of words. Then, with a nod he began to speak again, gently tugging at the cloth covering his torso.

"You are right, Fallon; I am me. However, to practically every other human and alien lifeform, I am merely an automaton constructed to carry out the wishes and demands of its creator."

She opened her lips as if to begin speaking, though Adam quickly held a hand up to indicate a pause.

"You must realize that while I appreciate your sentiments on the subject, that you are merely one in ... however many others out there!"

A quiet sigh left his breath as he adjusted his gaze to set directly upon hers, his hands gently touched her shoulders again - it was becoming evident that this was possibly Adam's showing of affection.
"You are only the 5th individual in my existence that has shown any care for my well-being. And for that, I am grateful. The only other female that has cared for me in a similar manner was Deanna Gruber, who I have not seen in sometime."

The processing of emotions began to weigh heavily on the android; Memories of a loving "mother", friends and acquaintences at the FGC. It was then that a certain 'feeling' began to wash over him.. as sense of awkwardness. Immediately, he attempted to dismiss it, but the feeling remained as he literally began replaying the scene in his head.
"The only other female that has cared for me..."
It was that sentence that made Adam feel the akwardness. Had he just unwittingly revealed feelings he did not know he had for this woman? How could it be? An android in... love?!

He felt the need to change the monotony, as he lowered his hands before turning back to face the large viewspace through the thick alloy of the spacestation. As he began accessing his internal chronometer, he folded his arms behind his back, contemplating...

"We have a few hours to spare before we undergo our own operation. Security will be tight with our proximity to enemy territory, and especially the isolated incidents on the transport and cargo bay."
Adam slowly began turning to look back toward Fallon.
"Might I suggest you get some rest, or something to eat?"
A small smile began tugging at his lips, evidence that the android still had his emotion chip activated.

~ Where perhaps Adam was ... confused... wait.. does He get... confused? She would think not.. but then again, Adam was different from the other Borgs, Cys, Androids, whatever one may decide to call them. Did He realize that He was different? Where perhaps He was confused at the interaction between He and her.... she was not... other than suddenly realizing that Adam was someone she really wanted to get to know better... He had such a personality.. one that she thought perhaps He tried to keep hidden... she wanted to draw it out..

"I'd love to get some rest.. but with everything that has happened... I don't think my own computer... my brain that is.. will allow me the down time to rest... My mind is racing over all kinds of scenarios...
who... what... why???
Is it You they are targeting? Or just Your kind in general? and again... why??? You and Your kind have been a life saver for the human race.. I don't understand people's hatred of andoids..
All I can think of... is that they are scared.. like that Doctor on board the ship... scared that You and Your people will.. advance even further than You already have... Your evolution sped up greatly when You achieved.. when You became aware.. Adam..."

She stopped then.. she had just babbled all that in the span of a couple of minutes... a sure sign that her mind was indeed working overtime....

With a deep sigh, she looked up at Adam as He turned to face her... that smile curling His lips... Gods... He was handsome...

"I could use some food.. and it will give us a chance to take a look around... You need to act human tho.. I think You will be fine... and just follow my lead if Your unsure... remember.. Your my assisstant... Let's call You.. Seth... that was one of Adam and Eve's sons... along with Caine and Able... but Seth is not as.. Mmmm well known... I don't think anyone will get too nosey as this is not a station that knows us all that well... so no one will realize that I do not have an assistant... the Commander has left... we do need to avoid Dr. Blakeson.. but that should be easy enough... He will be in the officer's mess hall.. we will go to the enlisted hall... get a look around and get me some food.... I am ... hungry"

As she spoke she laid her hand to her growling belly... she was hungry.. she just realizing how hungry... she hoped she was not making a mistake taking Adam with her.. but she did not want to leave Him alone in here after the encounter with Henry... she did not want anyone else finding Him here... nor did she want to encounter Henry on her own....

"while we walk.. tell me about Deanna Gruber.. she was Your... mother... right? She raised You.. once You became aware.. right?? She is a remarkable woman.. I would love to hear more about her... and You... Adam... "

After her unwitting drivel, the woman before the android gave herself a momentary silence to gather her thoughts. Though Adam felt as though he could not understand her point of view, he always felt it best to see things through a different perspective; a human persepective. It seemed upon his creation, he was destined to evolve from machine to human - his sudden sentience those years ago were evidence of that.

"Is it You they are targeting?"

He couldn't quite put his finger on her logic behind that statement. Who would "they" be that she was referring to? Why did she seem adament to believe they were after him?

"Or just Your kind in general? .. You and Your kind have been a life saver for the human race.."

That made much more sense to the android, as he had suggested earlier: The enemy may very well be attempting to wipe out the Allies one tool. The enemy realizes the threat of cybernetics, as a practically unstoppable force that required no food, drink or sleep. Many cybernetic units served different functions, as well, not just androids.

There was the Cybernetic Infiltration units that consisted of small, floating cybernetic devices that were able to scout ahead of enemy territory - and relay that information back to the Cybernetic Assault units that would in turn launch volley after volley of plasma rays.

Androids - like Adam - were unique in that they were multipurpose "devices" for the Allies. They could be cybermarines, as he was, they could be diplomats - sent in attempt to negotiate a truce, and if the enemy wanted to spat in its face and then kill it, there was no cause for immediate concern to the Allies.
The androids were unfortunately being created at a breakneak speed - as they were relatively inexpensive and followed orders.

Adam continued to smile to Fallon, taking note of the woman's beautiful features; his ocular implants briefly switching to thermal readings - as her features suddenly glowed in various colors.. reds, greens, blues. The color of her body red a majority of reds and oranges as her body temperature appeared to be rising. A bio-readout appeared in a corner of his vision, showing an elevated heartbeat, brain activity was all around as she was fatigued.

Then a thought occurred to the cyborg: Perhaps that was one of the reasons many of his organic counterparts despised so much. Many androids could literally read a person, and nearly have them figured out in a matter of minutes. With her sigh, he noticed her heart had a certain 'flutter' to it before he switched back to normal vision - all without her more than likely having noticed a thing.

He was unsure of her, however.. She may have been able to notice all of the tiny nuances from an android to a human. The pupils of his eyes tend to enlarge when engaging a certain optical mode, and his iris dulls slightly in color. Nevertheless, Adam decided to keep his little 'viewing' to himself. She appeared to move on, without a care at the moment.

"I could use some food.."

He nodded silently in agreement as he remembered her bio-readout, which estimated that her stamina having been greatly depleted.

"Let's call You.. Seth... that was one of Adam and Eve's sons.."

Adam was curious as to what the fascination was with humans and biblical themes. He knew of the story about Adam and Eve, but not how the relevance between himself and the story came to be.

It was then that a memory flash washed over his mind; It was simply a flashback, a memory from years before when under the care of William and Deanna Gruber. He remembered William Gruber attempting to share the story with the confused android - his neural processors did not want to function those first few weeks, but as the memory flash continued, he remembered.

"You are called 'Adam' because you are the first male of your kind, Adam. Just as the first female of your kind is called 'Eve'. Do you understand?" It was Williams voice he was hearing.

"I... do. William Gruber," he recalls himself saying.

"Look, you can call me 'father'. Calling me "William Gruber" is just.. too formal."

The android glanced up to the man.

"I will. Father."

Adam then glanced back to Fallon, who had lulled in her speech - just long enough for him to respond.

"Seth, it is, for the moment."

Fallon seemed to smile softly as she began for the exit, placing a hand on her audible stomach as it groaned in hunger. Curiousity came over him, as he placed a hand over his own stomach - though there was nary a sound that groaned from within him - as he did not require nutrition. He briefly stretched his facial features in amazement before placing his hands back at his sides, following the woman he was beginning to trust.

It was her inquiry that took him slightly aback.

"Tell me about Deanna Gruber.."

He was curious, as to why anyone would want to inquire about the only woman that had helped in his development from a simple automaton to a multifunctioning android. Regardless, Adam felt compelled to answer her..

"Deanna Gruber.. Was a remarkable woman, indeed."

He stressed 'was', possibly indicating that she had died. Or perhaps it was simply because so much time had passed since he had last seen her.

~ The station was unusually quiet as they headed out of the room that was her private quarters... It seemed the rogue Borg units had spooked a good portion of the populace of the station.. that was fine with Fallon.. the less people they bumped into the better in her opinion...

She knew where the cafe was.. it was in the same place in all these stations it seemed.. always in the middle.. easily accessable from any area.. any deck... easily found by newcomers...

"Deanna Gruber.. Was a remarkable woman, indeed."

Fallon turned to His words....as they walked....

"Remarkable does not begin to describe her.. Ad... Seth... You do realize that it was she who fostered... nurtured.. some say it was she.. and not Your *father* figure.. who woke You up.. who made You aware... who.. well.. brought forth your sentience.. so to speak... there are some who credit her with Your creation and not the actual people who assembled You.. who programmed You... then again.. there were others who hated her because of You... of what You have become..."

Fallon stopped there.. there was no need to go into the things she had heard working in the field she did... her own father was one of the men who HATED beings like Adam... it was his love of machines that had fostered her own love of them.. her own career... but she did not share his hatred for them... her tendancies went opposite of his.. that was for sure.. it was something she regretted.. for it caused quite a rift in her family... but that was past.. an no need to even think about that...

They stepped into the cafe... it was quiet in there.. again Fallon was glad of that... a couple of people sat having coffee.. discussing this or that... a couple of women took a look... a long look... at Adam.. and why not.. the man... the Borg... was extremely handsome..

Her thoughts turned from Adam for a moment.. to Eve.. the female counterpart to Him.. she had acheived her sentience soon after Adam... but not in the same family surroundings... and now she was dead... What if Adam and Eve had... well.. come together...??

Now there was a thought... the more human they became.. well.. the more human Adam became.. would He ever be able to... reproduce................

Fallon suddenly felt her face flush... she had a sudden image of Adam having sex... with...... with...... HER?????

She stopped dead in her tracks... trying to regain her composure.. where the hell had that thought come from...?????? ~
