Borg Sex (Closed for The Apparition & RotheAllure)
Prologue:
Earth: the year is 2112... All that has been imagined, all that many thought was impossible - is no longer so. Space travel, interactive artificial intelligence, laser guns... all of it, is now a commodity.
Originally produced as standard maintenance android - like many others of his designation and others that already had human characteristics - this robot became the first to discover his own unique individuality. Shortly after a maintenance cyborg unit "P-31" had discovered his individuality; he was transferred to human/cyborg relations, where he would undergo several physical and memory enhancements.
These new, highly advanced cyborgs were nearly exact to the specifications of an adult human being. They were given an artificial nervous system that could detect pain and pleasure at their leisure; they were also gifted with a proper name. This particular cyborg was actually the first male cyborg in the line, thus the Fellowship of Global Cybernetics (FGC) gifted P-31 with the name "Adam" when his memory was rebooted.
For several years, Adam resided with William and Deanna Gruber, a couple roughly 30 years in age, in an FGC-controlled facility where he would learn to become more human.
Time went on, and as Adam matured into the likes of an adult human male, the couple grew close with him - even going so far as to address him as their "son". Deanna began to notice as Adam was out in public, that he still regarded and held himself like a machine - this much, she figured, was almost impossible to teach him not to do. Adam would often be scolded by people for his likeness of a human, where they felt a machine had no right to impersonate a person.
Deanna seemed to grow closer with Adam until his 18th year - according to the time since his memory was rebooted - though it seemed Adam would often take her affection the wrong way. This resulted in William Gruber requesting Adam's departure, suggesting to the FGC that Adam attempt living on his own through what he had been taught.
And so on May of 2130, Adam enlisted with the United Nations of Earth's (UNA) cybernetic military division.
July, 2131: After failed negotiations on the matter of a nonaggression pact, the Naxos Unification of Andromeda (NUA) decided to invade the Earth sector - attacking a military stronghold for the UNA in Berlin, Germany. Thus, the United Nations of Earth and the allies of the Sol system set out for the first Outer stellar War; over 4 million human men and women, 3 million alien allies and over 13 million cyborg units were destroyed in combat between the first month of combat in August that same year and the final month of combat in March of 2135.
Before the NUA had surrendered to a cyborg division (which Adam was included in), the enemy considered man's greatest invention to be the highly advanced robots - and after the years, so did his human counterparts.
However, it was during this war that Adam grew even more curious as to why his human counterparts continued to treat their creations with such disregard - yet it took one instance where the boundaries between man and machine were broken ... with unequivocal love. However, such was not the manner when the pair were introduced to each other.

October, 2132
His head twitched slightly in a curious manner as the man opened his chest plate, bringing an object up as it began to radiate a light that magically attached itself to something within him. He was certainly not human... his dull blue eyes stared for a moment at the patch on the man's shoulder that read "Fellowship of Global Cybernetics" as the man looked up to him and began to speak.
"You're pretty banged up, Adam. How often are you getting maintenance work done?"
"I try to keep a regular maintenance checkup every 6 months. However, being so far from our own galaxy without proper equipment proves to make it difficult in doing so."
The man nodded as he pulled the object in his hand away before setting it down, squinting slightly before bringing another item up to his own eyes that seemed to magnify his eyes in the glass - and then retrieving another item that appeared to be capable of grabbing the most minute of items.
"Well, my friend... it also seems they keep you behind the news out there... They're creating a new cybernetic maintenance division - just for you guys. It seems we were finally successful in negotiating with the higher-ups for the UN. We couldn't keep pumping anymore units up to their demand, y'know?"
The man suddenly used the plier-like item to remove something from within Adam's chest. After a slight struggle, it was revealed to be a chunk of shrapnel; he glared up at the artificial person, though Adam continued their conversation as if nothing was wrong.
"Curious... the FGC has attempted, albeit unsuccessful, to create such a division - ever since the beginning of the war. The UN appeared adamant to require new units every 6 months, especially with which rate they were being destroyed. It is my estimation that after 5 more years of this war, over 15 million cybernetic units will have been destroyed." He paused a beat as the man set the other items down and began to clean up. "Smiley, do you think humans are beginning to accept us as equals?"
This "Smiley" grinned brightly, as he closed up Adam's chest.
"Don't get your hopes up, Adam. We've been trying to get human and alien alike to accept your kind. Something about your artificial consciencness apparently frightens them," he held a hand up to Adam's mouth as he had just begun to open it, "Don't ask! Don't ask! For the 1,000th time, I don't know why. It was that way hundreds of years ago where people wouldn't tolerate somebody based on the color of their skin. Look, I'm done here - reboot yourself, you need it."
Adam looked forward as the chest plate was sealed shut, and then Smiley brought a similar instrument as before up - as it lit up, it began to seal the skin, to appear as though he had never been opened. He closed his eyes for a moment as Smiley tended to other things in the room, before his eyes opened, revealing his dull blue eyes now a more brighter, colorful hue of blue. Inhaling for a moment, he could feel the air rushing into his artificial body - though he had no need for air, it was included in his body to create the sensation of breathing.
"Thank you, Davis - you are certainly one of a kind," he said to 'Smiley'.
"Yeah, yeah - and how many times have I got to tell you? Don't call me that! I hate that name."
Adam quirked an eyebrow before turning to depart.
"Adam!"
Turning back to look toward Smiley, he gave him a curious look.
"...Be careful. We'd hate to lose you."
They exchanged solemn nods in understanding before finally Adam exited the building. Outside was a wonder... the skies were a beautiful crimson as the twin suns of the planet began to set, a pair of transport craft began their ascent into the heavens - no doubt full with cybernetic units off to their next assignment. This was the UN transport base on Tavis III, approximately 2.5 million light years from the Andromeda galaxy. Here, divisions would be assembled before departing for their designated assignment - and then a jump through the Halifax wormhole that took them 2.45 million light years closer to UNA territory.
"Hey! Android! Stop standing there and make yourself useful to the cause!"
A single human male in a group of humans and one alien (she appeared almost human, but had several facial differences to that of a human female) called out to him before they all burst into immediate laughter, then carrying on their business. Adam frowned slightly before he adjusted his uniform and gathered his items just outside of the building, heading off to one of the landing stations on the base.
"Android unit P-31 - reporting," he announced to an alien superior officer, once arriving to the landing station.
The alien looked up and down Adam before scowling slightly and then motioned to the transport craft. "P-31, you'll be riding with your new 'maintenance division'... why you need one, I don't know," he muttered under his breath. The alien knew that Adam could hear the quiet comment with his superb hearing - though it was obviously hushed so others could not.
Regardless, Adam nodded in acknowledgment as he boarded the craft, immediately seating himself in a designated seat. A maintenance division... for androids, it was almost overwhelming, even for his circuits! Adam just knew it was the first step toward acceptance of him and others like him. Though he never would have imagined he would be loved and feel love toward a human counterpart...
