Reading this forum drives me to drink.

:p

What's your poison? I'm thinking beer and brats. Paired with some SRV to set the mood.

Beer and brats is good. No craft beer with brats tho. Has to be old school American. Bud, Miller, etc. Not Coors tho. Fuck Coors.

Do they still make Hamms? That was some decent beer and they had the best commercials of all time.

*checks time* give me a couple of hours and it'll be chilli-con-carne and whiskey

I don't know, that's pretty hardcore. Not sure I'd be telling people that. Sort of a white trash on the verge of a church shooting kind of vibe to it.
Beer and brats says "have a great time in the backyard with my homies." Homies being other middle aged divorced white men who still lie about pussy.
Chili and whiskey says "I'm on the edlge, man."

*shrugs* dilligaf?

srsly, the chilli's cooking slowwwwwwwwwwwww, everything getting intimate in the pan, and whiskey's what we have indoors so it'll have to be that. i could go hot-chocolate but... meh.

How can you hate coors original? It's better than any of the full fat American beers! Maybe I just have a soft spot for it, beer of my youth.

I do agree with Hamms. It's surprisingly good. They still sell tons of it in the Midwest. PBR tho... It's a waste of water! Plus, all those 20s kids think it's cool to drink a shit beer.

Another is Grain Belt. Mostly a Minnesota beer, but it's pretty full flavored. It tends to get sour after 3 or 4.

And Johnsonville brats are fucking awful! Not saying that's what you like, just have to point that out whenever the chance presents itself...

I get homemade ones from a local place. Lots of flavor variations and local meat. I fucking love maple brats.

Beans or no beans? If it ain’t got beans, it ain’t chili! 😉😊

It’s been Prosecco and more Prosecco on this trip. I do prefer a good whiskey ginger usually. Or whatever fun craft beer finds its way into my house.

Here too. It's a Midwestern grocery store, but they make the best brats I've ever tasted. They have all kinds of variations, I usually just stick to traditional. However, their green onion brats are pretty fantastic also.

we get beer brats, usually, and i cook them in beer, too :cattail:

I get my smallish soup pot and dump three 24oz cans in. I've tried a variety of beers, but I will only cook with good old fatty Budweiser. I boil them for ten minutes, then throw them on the grill to our desired char. I like them a little more chared than others, but the good thing is, you don't have to worry about then being pink if you just want a little time on the grill. Plus, it adds really good flavor. Sometimes I'll throw a bunch of Montreal steak seasoning in the beer. Or just some nice red pepper flakes. Gives them a little kick.

You should do them the Wisconsin way, with sliced onions in the beer boil.
