Boomers: Save us Gen X, Save us!

Fantastic!

And they're getting desperate - good to see.

I don't watch Fox but it does seem there is no redemption in this world any more. People fuck up and are pounced on immediately. I cannot even bring up certain things to friends who have a different point of view on so many subjects like alternative energy, immigration, gun rights, and the list goes on. No one wants to have an intellectual conversation even about art. One small example in my life is I went to see Hamilton with my husband after so many people told us how great it was. We were in NYC for a professional meeting so got tickets on the secondary market for an outrageous amount of money but figured it won so many awards lets go. I hated it. Did not like the music, the story was to me not historically correct and it just seemed over done to me. My husband was only kind of so so on it. So told one of my friends it just was not my cup of tea as I prefer things like Wicked or Phantom of the Opera....cheesy but it's just what I like. This friend chastised me over lunch about what a racist I was and unaccepting. WTF? So yea, whatever you want to call what is happening right now, it is so divisive and hateful I have just stopped talking about much of anything.

please do not accept this as a given. i'm a boomer, i hate anyone born after 1960 and don't want them in my fucking life. they can save their own asses, just give me some more hallucinogens. do you have any IDEA how hard it is to find decent acid these days?

so...you mean to tell us that, as long as Hamilton's been out now and as much money as it costs to go see it, even when the original cast has largely moved on from when it was really exclusive and expensive and it was notoriously known for that, you never bothered once to do some prelim online research on it, which is ridiculously easy to do, in order to figure out if it was something that you personally might even moderately enjoy before dropping your dinero down?

and then you in here in NYC and you go do it anyway?

oh, annie baby...

Unfortunately, no you haven't. I've read some of your other racist posts.

Let her have her fun. :D

Not a boomer but pretty much over the “cancel” culture. Rumor has it Tucker Carlson has hinted at possibly running in the next election; I think he sadly has a viable shot. Everyone is so busy “canceling” people there is no real conversation going on anymore. BLM protesters? Cancel them. Capitol rioters? Cancel them. All parties and generations do it. I’m reminded of Trump worked to “cancel” Kaepernick (spelling). So we can keep “canceling” each other, but it’s just creating more discourse.

And I’m not saying there aren’t people who should be “canceled.” (*Ahem-* Louis CK). Just my worthless two cents on the topic though.

I think people got their generations all kinds of mixed up.
Also boomers are mostly ok. I know the term doesn't necessarily mean real boomers but still.

I'm gen x amd i think most are assholes. Barely better than the dreaded millennials.

For clarification

Boomers - aged 57-75
Gen X 41-56
Millennials / Gen Y 25-40
Gen Z 6-24
