Conventional wisdom is that Democrats will take control of the House of Representative in the midterm elections of 2026.

There are 70 Boomer Democrats in Congress, many of them in "safe" blue districts that seldom face primary opposition.
Not this year.
Gen-Z and Millennials are fielding candidates in almost all of these districts, attempting to oust the sclerotic Boomers.
The House Democratic fundraising machine has warned these would-be usurpers not to expect any national funding from them
Gen-Z doesn't care. They are out fundraising for themselves and twelve have already amassed a bigger war chest than the incumbent.
Virtually all of these Democrats are Progressive and are dedicated to pursuing progressive policies in Congress.

This is a huge change from the status quo which is getting little attention from pollsters as "safe" districts where the incumbent wins 80% of the general election are basically ignored.

And if the current trend of declining AIPAC donations continues, we could see the defunding of the genocidal Israeli war machine as soon as next year.
