John has been trying to build up the courage to talk to her, he extremely likes her and would like to get to know her and develop the friendship into something much more.

IC: John sat in the bus seat as he was heading straight for Barnes and Noble, this is sort of a tradition that he does every weekend. Taking a break from his novel and exploring the beauty that nature has to offer him. He has been hoping that worker would be there today, the moment he saw her behind the counter he knew that he had to talk to her, she was really amazing. The bus stopped at the bus stop that he needed to be at, he let the bus driver know that he wants to get off here. John thanks the bus driver and steps out from within the bus and heads to the bookstore with his backpack slung over his shoulders.

Bio
Genny has been working at the Bookstore for 3 years. She loves her job. Mostly for the access she has to all her favourite books. For its not the money she makes. She could work elsewhere, and make a better wage, but then she'd have to give up her books.

Something she just doesn't want to do.

"Oh.. this was a good one." Genny beamed, sliding the paperback into the back for the customer. "I read that one twice, AND I gave it to three of my friends. You'll love it. Just be warned. Kleenex.. and lots of it at then end. Its a great story." Genny smiled handing over the reciept and watching the customer leave the Cue. Looking over at the returns cart she sighed.

"Im going to go shelve these. You OK here Steph?" She asked her coworker. Watching her nod, Genny started off with the cart, heading to the fiction department. Why anyone would return a book was beyond her.

Smiling as she passed a customer looking puzzledly at the back of a book, Genny stopped her cart, peaking at the title. "Thats a good one." She advised the older woman. "A couple of naughty twists. If your getting that.. then you should totally read this one." She picked another novel off the cart, handing it across to the lady. "Its the next in the series. Trust me.. you won't be able to put it down."

Starting out down the hallway again, she pulled the cart into the fiction section. Dropping down to her knees to reach the bottom shelf. Shelving the books from the cart.

John walks inside of Barnes and Noble and looks around, there are quite a few people wandering around today, he thinks to himself. First thing on the to do list is to get a cappucino from Starbucks. That is his one and only true weakness, he walks towards the coffee shop and orders the usual. Within three minutes his order is ready, he pays the cashier and walks off sipping his hot drink. John heads towards the fiction area, wondering if any of the good horror writers had published anything that is worth reading. As John draws near the fiction area, he stops dead in his tracks at the sight of the girlt that he had seen the last time that he was here, she was crouching down and putting the books back on the shelf, John could feel his heart in his throat beating faster as he stared at the mysterious woman that he could not stop thinking about. John was trying to think of something to say, he did not know what to say, so he walked over to the bookshelf area where the girl was storing the books, he looked at the others while he was thinking of what to say to someone who is incredibly hot and gorgeous at the same time.

"I smell coffee"

Genny laughed looking up at the familiar face standing next to her. He'd been here every day for the last couple of weeks. Sometimes hed buy a horror Novel. Sometimes she'd see him sitting in starbucks, tapping away at his laptop. But very few days went by, Genny hadn't seen him around somewhere.

"The newest 'Nighttower' is out. I saved you a copy at the front. I remember you looking for it last week."

Genny stood, wiping her hands on her kakhis, and stretching out the kinks of the long hours.

"Hows the book coming?"

John turned to her and was shocked that she actually spoke to him, "Whoa...uh the book is coming fine, I did not believe that I brought it up, your name is Genny right? My name is John, it's a pleasure to meet you." I shake her hand.

Genny smiled shaking Johns hand.

"Nice to officially meet you to." She nodded, looking over to the Starbucks.

"Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the book. I just.." She shrugged nodding towards his bag. "You're always tapping away on that thing.. its either a book or a VERY long letter home."

Chuckling, she picked up another book from the cart, sliding it into its spot on the shelf.

He had nice eyes. Genny liked that about him. His quiet nature, his kind soft eyes. Giving him a light smile, she tilted her head.

"So whats it about? Your book. Carnage on the high seas.. or.. " she thought for a minute, drawing her finger across her lips. "..oh I know. A daring cross country train heighst, where the villian is also the hero."

She wasn't teasing him, as such. The playful banter was more to keep him talking. He always seemed so shy, and she'd hoped she could get him talking.

"The book is different, it is a horror novel, extremely dark and out there. I spent a couple of months writing this thing, so far I am having a blast." John excitedly says to Genny who looks away from her eyes, noticing that she has green eyes, "I-I'm sorry for ranting on...I'm sorry to disturb you, I can tell that you are extremely busy, so I think I will leave and tend to more of my writings..." John said turning around and walking away, he cannot believe that she is talking to him, this is the most exciting moment of his life. Someone that he really likes is talking to him. He wonders if he should ask her out, then he suddenly cursed himself telling himself that it is too soon to ask such a thing. Maybe if he goes to his nonexistent life then maybe he would not have to worry about being rejected. Again.

Genny watched him talking of his book. Her smile growing warmer as his excitement showed. It was nice to see someone with that kind of passion for something.

She was about to tell him so, when he abruptly made his excuses and left.

"Oh.. right then." She said, watching as he quickly turned from her.

"Well, good luck with it." She said softly, as he started to walk away.

Looking back to her cart, Genny pulled it towards her, wheeling down the hallway towards the Biography section. Spending the next two hours sorting out books. By then, she was very relieved that it was breaktime.

Heading over to the coffee counter, Genny smiled at the Barista, as she set her drink up on the bar. "Thank you Roberta. You're a lifesaver" She chuckled, as she turned to look for a seat.

Smiling to herself when she saw John typing away at his laptop, she took a chair not far from him, opening up her book and settling into her Mocha. She didn't want to bother him, so she just quietly read.

John stopped typing on his laptop, he needed a break from his work. He looked around the cafe and then seen Genny sitting by herself and reading a novel. John sat there for moments staring at her, thinking of what he should do next. John wasn't much of a risk taker, so he gathered up his belongings and walked right over to Genny's table and stared down at the beautiful young woman who was quietly reading and seemed to not want to be bothered by anyone. "Genny is it? Do you mind if I join you, I don't mean to bother you...I was just wondering if you would like some company?" John asked hoping that she would say yes and have him sit down with her.

Genny looked up, her smile growing as she heard him speak.

"John. Ofcourse!" She gestured to the chair next to hers, closing her book as she took a sip of her drink.

"Still at it I see." Nodding towards the laptop, she shook her head in awe. "You've been at it all day! Its just about closing time here. Did you get far? Everything working out the way it should?"

"Yes so far so good, I did not realize that it was closing time. Where did time go? The buses stop running at nine and it is almost nine now." John said looking at his watch, then staring into those green eyes of Genny. It was like he was being absorbed by them, he could not pull away from her. John chased those thoughts away from his mind as he stared at the drink she was drinking. "Well I guess walking back to my apartment would help me out." John said looking at the darkening night outside.
