Yesterday I dropped into a charity shop and got some great buys - 14 books for only £2.00. And before people shout 'Tightass', I am on a very restricted budget. I'll read them, keep my favourites, then recycle the rest back to the shop to sell again.
Here's a list of my bargains, but I want to hear about those gems YOU have found and where you found them
My haul from yesterday:
Hardbacks
Sushi For Beginners - Marion Keyes - 25p
The Gospel According To The Son - Norman Mailer - 25p
The Radiance of Ashes - Cyrus Mistry - 25p
Palace Walk -The Cairo Trilogy - Naguid Mahfouz (winner of the Nobel prize for Literature 1988) - 25p
Terminal- RobinCook - 10p
Paperbacks
Heretics of Dune - Frank Herbert - 10p
Dune, The Butlerian Jihad - Brian Herbert & Kevin Anderson- 10p
Getting it in the Head - Mike McCormack - 10p
Dynasty- Robert Elegant - 10p
The Shipping News - E.Annie Proulx - 10p
Moon Dust - Andrew Smith - 10p
A Friend of the Earth - T C Boyle - 10p
Behindlings - Nicola Barker - 10p
Miss Smith's Feeling for Snow - Peter Hoeg - 10p
