Books to Digital for Digital Readers

I read a lot of books, mostly erotic paperbacks. I have always looked for a way to put these books into a digital format so that I could load them to my Sony Digital Reader. Well I've finialy done it.

I was given a very high end scanner. Can take a paperback and convert it to digital in about 5 minutes. The main problem is that the book used to make the digital file becomes a donor book. The binding must be cut off the book to make it loose, then run it through the scanner, which is auto feed. Reads both sides of the page at one time and stores it as a PDF file on the computer.

I've been collecting books for years , that I had not gotten to read. Now all of these books are digital PDF files. And the pages of the donor books go into the recycle can and the book shelf is clear.

Anyone interested in converting your books to digital? Let me know I have the time now that I'm retired.

this sounds like it might be a commercial solicitation. is it? are you offering to convert stuff, for a fee?

i suppose if you're simply describing what you do and not attempting an advertisement for a for-pay service, i'll let it stand.

I never said a word about money. I just said I can do this for anyone that would like. In fact I'll return the cd with the PDF's on my dime. I'm just retired and bored, need something to do. If it helps others, I'm here.
