Book Suggestions...

I'm finishing up Dave Barry's CyberSpace. Apparently, there's something called "porn" on the internet. :cattail:

A  from the good little witch.

lol there is indeed, in high school I read a book called Pornifyed (sp?) about porn is ruining our lives...I went to a very back water conservative school...needless to say, my report got an A :D

Kinda strange coinkydinck...one of my daughters has a Master's in Psychology, another is currently managing a high end restaurant in Washington, DC, and had a Chef as a boyfriend for a couple years....(you one of my other daughters?;))

Culinary school! Jesus H.Christ on roller-skates!

All culinary school does is teach you how to fuck up perfectly good meat and potatoes. Its the equivalent of castrating your good taste. Culinary school is a fag's 2nd favorite place to be, and who can name even one famous chef!

Be nice lol, my culinary ambitions are means to a much more lucrative end. And hey! I make AWESOME food, though pastries and candy are my specialty. I make amazing Pralines!

Famous Chefs? Jaques Pepin

A late entry: The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Droidge. Oh, and S**t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern is pretty funny.

I just discovered an author named Jim Thompson. I think he died 20 years ago. He wrote 'white trash epics'. The one I'm reading is crude. Thompson reminds me of Pete Dexter, though Dexter wasnt born when Thompson was a writer and editor.

JBJ - white trash stories are supposed to be crude.

Book: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. Published 11 years after his suicide. Only book he wrote and it won the Pulitzer prize.

Nutella is Italian, actually, and very popular in all of Europe. The EU has caused a bit of an uproar, however, by requiring that salt and fat content of prepared foods be listed on the label. Italy is declaring such a requirement an attack on their national "bad" breakfast food, and demanding Nutella be exempt from the regulations.

Nutella banana crepes as street food in Paris were quite popular a year or so ago. Nutella was so popular in Germany in the past, I thought it was German! :D

World Market, by the way, sells a very good, much cheaper knock-off.

Okay. Good-bye everyone. I need to go read. ;)
