Sorry - I had to go with "Huh" - mainly because I'm more of a smartass than either of the other choices.

None of the above.

I'm mostly rural, not many streets around here to hang out at.
I've read a lot of books, but I voted for Bush anyway.

:~) I am, however, a certified genius. I have printshop, I made the certificate myself. It's really cool, it's got clematis and a powerwagon on it.

I picked book smart due to lack of life experience, but I would say I have both.

I'm both as well I'm afraid, thats assuming street
smart = common sense.

Both. Not only did I fly through a moderately respected university with decent grades but I can also handle myself on the tough streets of the Annex.

I would honestly say that I have a good balance of each. I have 3 degrees, yet I have worked all my life and made many mistakes and learned REAL world situations in addition to book/Hypothetical situations and how to deal with them.

Excuse me, but most of you seem to think that the definition of having street smarts is knowing not to get your toast out with a fork.

I couldn't vote because I am just a smart aleck!

Street smart- doesn't that mean being good at directions and reading maps?

And book smart means you can find the library!

See what I mean? ;)

This topic needs more choices.

Wise ass/ Smart ass. Both are carying degrees of book smart and street smart.

MistressHoney,

Streetsmart, 'cause that's what seems to get me through my life. Also booksmart, in a wierd way. Aced school & university but had no use for that kind of knowledge. I suppose I knew then what I would be doing in life and a classroom meant nothing. Except it taught me how to learn. (S.N.A.F.U.) Get the drift though?

I'm a Beatle fan...How'd you get that Apple?

Is there anyone who's not a Beatle fan? *lol*

But its not from the Beatle's Apple - label or icon. Its a Discordian symbol. This is the Golden Apple of Eris: The writing on it says Kallisti, which means "To the prettiest one." Eris threw it into an Olympian party once and 3 goddesses fought over it... Which started the Trojan War.

Eris is Discordia - Greek goddess of chaos, confusion.
