As I'm seriously thinking to get a boob reduction done very soon, one of my male friends said it was a sin to do that and should be stated in the 10 commandments.
What do you think? ;)

Do any of you have experience first or second hand with it?

Well you gotta do what you gotta do. I know some ladies who have done it and are thankful that it was an option for them. I mean this one gal was tee-tiny and hell her boobs were HUGE and they hurt her back, knees, etc........you do what you have to~ to take care of your situation. Sometimes when they are too big I can see where they would cause problems.

*ahem this was added in*

Maybe you should send me a picture so I can evaluate the situation? *eg* :D

I would like one

but my husband is strictly opposed to it. It is not that important for me to argue with him about it right now. I think in a few more years, and when I know I am through having children, I would probably like a lift job!

My friend had a boob reduction and I must say they look fantastic! Not only is she more comfortable with herself, she is also able to buy clothes that actually fit and her back pain has eased considerably.
If you are thinking of doing this for comfort reasons, then damn your friend and just go do it girl!

I have a friend who got a breast reduction in college. She was a very large D, and got them reduced to a C. The only thing is that she was supposed to lose 10 pounds before the surgery and she never bothered to, so now she looks a little disporportionate to me.

I think that you should do what makes you happy. If you're having physical problems, or think that you might in the future due to your breasts, then you might want to go ahead with it. Just think about it for a while before you decide anything, and I would say to do your research on the topic. :)

Leaving out the obvious factor that i'm a man, that really depends.

Although my first response is to shreak in utter dismay, I realize that large breasts can cause major back problems.

If your getting them reduced because they physically impare you, that is completely understandable. But if this is an action resulting from ridicule or embarassment...please, oh please reconsider. :(

BTW, if it is because of back problems, could I get a before and after? ;) :p

My best friend has discussed this surgery with her doctor and isn't totally convinced it's for her. She's had terrible back pain since high school and it's only gotten worse lately. Even when she's dieted, her breasts remained the same size. She's opted against the surgery because her doctor explained that there can be a loss of nipple sensitivity and breastfeeding (if she were to decide to have children) is not an option.

Do a little research and talk to your doctor, he can best explain the other issues involved with breast reduction.

I haven't had one yet...

but I've been thinking about it. My mom once took me in to consult with a doctor, but he told me about the loss of nipple sensitivity and breastfeeding, and the scarring that would occur because of my coloring, and that kind of stopped me. Dark or olive skin apparently results in darker scars, although with surgery techniques improving every day, this might not be the case anymore.

The loss of sensitivity would bother me the most, as silly as that sounds, but I get a LOT of pleasure in that area, and I'd hate to lose that. I'm still considering it, but am far away from a decision yet.

I knew a woman who had a reduction and went from an H to an F (which still sounds large, but she lost 6 pounds off each breast, so it was a significant change for her), and she's so much happier now. She doesn't get the backaches she used to, she can now find clothes that fit better, she looks more proportionate and feels a lot better about herself.

So good luck with whichever decision you come to. You have to pick whatever's right for you :)

(Maybe the guy's would understand a little better if they had to walk around with testicles the size of grapefruits everyday :p)

LOL thanx for your post.... i got a problem with scarring (i.e. a simple scratch results in a scar on my skin, although im pretty pale). loss of sensitivity in my breasts wouldnt bother me in the least because im totally breast frigid anyway. :D

I'll prolly have my friend run around with grapefruits in his trousers soon... but i think his boyfriend might get really off on that. LOL

unfortunately he is one of those guys who look really really really smart in a bit wider khakis. *sighs*

I knew a woman who did this about 5 years ago. She said the pain was more than she expected, and she was actually a little depressed after the surgery was over. She described it literally as being sad that a part of her was missing. But she got past that and was eventually happy with the reduction. Same thing as what many of you have said- her back got better and she could finally fit into clothes that she didn't have to sew for herself.

As many here know, i had a breast reduction done about 1.5 years ago.

It's the best thing i ever did for myself.

My breasts were *very* large for my 5'2' self, well into E-F range. I couldn't buy clothing. I felt like a freak. I *knew* no one (=men) ever talked to me but only to my tits. My back and shoulders hurt all the time. I had terrible headaches. There was no way i could buy really sexy lingerie and not feel like a freak in it when i was braless.

I considered the surgery forever and finally had it after i was done having and nursing children, for all the resons we all know.

Because i was so huge, i had a radical procedure; i.e. they removed my nipples completely then reduced and reshaped my breasts and replaced my nipples, new ones made from the erectile tissue of my previous (and much larger) nipples. They took 12 pounds of tissue from each breast.

In the end, after the healing, here's the truth: that surgery prduced results that are fabulous beyond all my expectations.

I haven't worn a bra at all, except for sexual/sensual purposes since that surgery. I told my doc i wanted her to make me as small as she could; they even wrote it on my skin with marker as they were preparing me for surgery. I'm now on the B-C line as far as bras go.

Perky and perfectly-shaped, my breasts are gorgeous and for the first time in my life (i think) i love them being looked at, played with, out free and unclothed.

My nipple sensation is reduced, that's true, but definitely not gone. Additionally, as most of you know, i have done quite a bit of piercing play (BDSM context) in the last couple years and that has definitely produced a measureable increase in my ability to feel more there. My nipples still become erect. I still derive a lot of pleasure from touches there. It's a 'no-big-deal' issue as far as i'm concerned.

This was just one person's extremely positive experience with breast reduction surgery, of course, and others have a different set of reactions. For me, though, i was an incredibly liberating surgery, freeing me, as it did, from the chains of what i always felt were freakishly big tits and replacing them with beautiful breasts.

Cymbidia, thanks so much for posting your experience like that. It's made me more comfortable with the thought of the surgery. Hearing something from a doctor is one thing, but hearing from women who have actually gone through with the procedure is really what matters, especially since you've had time to adjust to your "new" breasts.

Not being an expert on the subject this is defiantly a person own choose regardless of what other people think. I have known women with all types of breast all are just find with me.

One thing I do know is that when a woman begin to grow older the size of her breast, in reference to very large or huge breast, plays a part on the well being of the woman. So as a health issue then go for it, but as far as appearance sake then I say no.
