It seems a lot has happened this last week!!!

I found a few emails in my mail box, one from Jim, and a couple feedbacks and a pm waiting, so I logged on quickly to read the pm, it was a reminder to vote...thank you!

My basement flooded with the heavy rains Tuesday (I think this was the day) so I have been kept pretty busy lately.

Today I was quite surprised at the amount of comments on my poem and am saddened I cannot send seperate pm's thanking everyone for their support and advice.

I went on "to keep the review thread clean" and saw a lot more there, then my head spun 7 or 8 times

So to keep things very simple and on one page...

Thank you Jim for your suggestions, help, kind and thoughtful review. As always I respect and admire you and of course am amazed by your works.

Thank you everyone, please forgive me for not mentioning names...but thank you very much for reading, relating, voting, commenting, advice and for taking the time to do all this.

Rybka, not that my opinion really matters, but I think you are definately on with your review, not only does it encourage others to step up to the plate and write one themselves, offering suggestions, but it also encourages poets to work harder, to think more.

Boo, I have a rough draft of the same title challenge poem, but havent had a chance to look at it again since I started it. I do hope I make the deadline, I will go check the date after I post this, then I have to run into the city to take the kids bowling, then back home for more shuffling of furniture down here as everything seems to be dry.

As for the March contest...oh my!

I must remind myself there is still time but I wish to do a really good job on this one if only for a small tribute to smithpeter...

be well everyone
live, love and peace

Its no problem, sweety. You do what you can; the rest isn't important. My offering is pathetic and I blame Ange for teaching me what a 'found' poem is... I'm up to my neck with one, now. The Challenge is very laid back... submit when you're able.

M, I saw it in the passion thread and should have commented then. It's beautiful, but then you have a knack for writing beautiful poems. I'm glad you're back writing here again. You really should consider submitting some of your work for publication in literary journals, if you haven't done so already. They're quite good enough to be accepted. This one for sure.

thank you Ange, I did try with this one and it already came back with a suggestion that it should be written in prose form and it was a bit loose.

My main problem is I am not sure where to submit, I have tried a few places, heard from maybe one, but not even rejection slips from the others so I have no idea even if they were looked at and not sure what to do when it comes to this.

I have gotten some decent acceptances and some pretty stunning rejections (my favorite is Your poem? Sorry but "no.") Lol! There's a blow to the old ego. I really think though that it's all about finding places that a) are open to accepting poems from writers with few or no publication credits, and most important b) publish writing that seems compatible with your own writing style. I almost never submit to places that publish mostly avant garde type poems, for example, cause I know the way I write doesn't fit with what they want.

The best thing you can do is research journals and websites. Anna has an excellent collection of links here. Another great resource is a book called Poets Market. It lists many publishers with addresses and loads of info about each. :)
