Bondage Bedroom???

Hi me and my girl were going to be building a new headboard for our waterbed and she was to make it kind of bondage'y She want to add rings etc to attach restraints etc.. Now we were shocked to see there is very little to go by as far as even idea's on the net. She doesn't know if she wants it to look like a regular headboard and be able to hide it when not in use or if she can just incorporate it into the design. If anyone knows of any sites or has any ideas to input we would be greatly appreciative.

We are mainly having problems figuring out the headboard but any other ideas about the bed or rest of the room would be appreciated.

I just staple gunned silk cords to the drawers of my waterbed. I can just slip them right back into the drawers when done! Nobody can see them. Perfect........

Buy regular eyebolts at the hardware store. Get some fender washers and nuts. You can drill for the eyebolts and back them with the fender washers and one nut. All should come off and go into a drawer in a few minutes. Leave a few small (about 1/4") holes, though.

Thanks.. We actually found some drawer handles that look pretty coolish and we thought if we just incorporate it into the design and it is supose to be there BUT not look like its there for that reason..

the iron frame is a little more then we were lookin to do but thanks. We are makin a wood headboard from scratch to make it match the waterbed.

We have some eyebolts screwed into the underside of the waterbed now and have ties on them..

The eyebolt on the board we had thought of similarly and that is a good idea with the washers too..

Any more idea's will be graciously accepted.

Damn. There is an iron furniture shop in the Stables Market in Camden in London that makes bondage beds, you know, with the cuffs and all built in. And I can't fucking remember the name of it and I just tried to find it on the net for you but no luck. Too bad, they were really cool too. Very gothic-y and shit. Sorry.

You could design eyes and handles into the posts.

For example, take the post on the side (or the whole side of a bookcase style headboard) and make broad convex curves at the top. At the very top it is wide, then it narrows a lot, then it flares back out to full width. This gives you a place to throw a loop around that won't slip off.

Make a vertical slot in the post near the top 1.5 inch wide and 3 inches long. Round off the edges so that everything is curvy. This gives you an eye you can hook a carib through or thread a rope through.

The end result can look a bit like modern sculpture.
