Bombing for peace is like...

Are they part of the same group that got naked, lay in the snow and spelled out NO WAR?

Succinct.
True.
But try selling it to Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, and Pearle. Or those who think armageddon is a party where the self-appointed chosen few get all the party favors.

Is bombing for peace a bit like spanking your child to teach them not to hit?

;)

Ah, but sometimes, it works.

(Wearing flame retardant gear, today!)

:D

Someone who got it. :)

BTW...I am not sure which way I stand on the bombing issue. But I really liked the picture...it just spoke volumes...to both sides.

I understood it as clearly as she did, I just don't believe it. Actions have consequences, and disobedience has punishments.

True...but to play Devil's Advocate here...do two wrongs always make things right?

Touche. On the surface it may appear as a wrong but once you look past it and put everything into perspective, is it still a wrong? Not necessarly. Sometimes drastic measures must be taken to stop something that would be even worse. Kinda like a back burn fire.

Good answer.

Ummm.....precendent set....Last time this happened, I believe (So don't attack me if I got it wrong, okay? Sheesh....people seem to love correcting me) Was Israel's attack on the Iraqi Nuclear Power plant back in the 70s?

And anyone rememeber the shit-storm THAT started?

There are times when someone standing in the road to peace refuses to move no matter how much talking occurs. At that point, you have to move them, to move further down that road.

Who defines peace? I realize that I should be busy drooling over an av or something right now....

Does the mono-power of the world get to define peace as whatever it wants to do?
