i like it, only have my tongue done as of right now, besides my left ear, but want my cartilage also
 
5 inches across the small of my back I have a ying yang with 2 dolphins intertwined with waves coming out from the sides of the ying yang....beautifully done in blues and black

Why thank you. Actually, I do not. I have a small bat on my left ankle, a ring of shamrock's and flowers around my right ankle (very beautiful) and a Native American Medicine Card (the whale card) on my right calf. The other is a very "punk rock" design on my chest that, while representative of a finite time in my life, I sort of wish I had been a little bit more picky as to what I placed on my body that day!!

p.s. Had to spout off in your Hockey Thread too!!

I have one on my left breast of a honey bee. It is done in of course black and yellow. I chose that tat because I am a huge Tom Petty fan and he has a song called Honey Bee. I love my tat and plan on getting more soon.

I was a bit hesitant to take the plunge as well. The best advice I can give you is to start out small and take your time picking your design. The last few I have gotten were drawn by friends of mine and have a lot of extra meaning. I would also go to a few artists and talk to them, anyone that is not up for a conversation is not someone you want to work on you.

There are a few of mine that did not hurt at all. The very small one I have on my ankle, right above the bone on the left side...was almost totally painless. Also the one on my calf was not too painful.

The butterfly hurt like a bitch! However, it is not a pain that is horrid or something that you can't live through. I promise!!

It has been a very positive experience for me and I recommend it very much.

Oh, one other thing....Don't get one and think you will stop. They are totally addictive !!

I also want to get my nipples pierced (But have been to chicken to do it as of yet... :rolleyes: LOL) And I've thought about getting my clit pierced as well. (I was told that having the nipples done is MUCH more painful than having the clit done.)
