His sig line is the first reference to Kevin Smith that I have seen in forever. Not only that, but it's from the best flick of the 5 part trilogy.

Jersey Girl......coming soon!!!!

Kevin Smith's films are great... they get better each time... up until Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back..

yeah,....what was that anyway? I mean I never thought I'd see the day when Will Ferrel was a redeeming factor in a KS flick.

So you're an idiot. Cool.

So, you're the 19 person not to get the joke. What's new.

:p

I just preferred Dogma...then Chasing Amy, then Mallrats, then JASBSB, then Clerks....

Ben Affleck isnt all that bad...

The trilogy in 5 parts was orignially the Douglas Adams' thing... Only itwas 4, then the posthumous book got published

Good God, It's not even my joke. How much sarcasm do I need today.

Sorry Kalyn. Try again next time. Though I remember your pity party first thread. You have promise.

Thanks Kalyn.

Every time I watch Dogma and laugh it feels like I move just a little closer to the center of Hell...

Actually Star, there were 5 books published during his lifetime (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, Life, the Universe and Everything, So Long and Thanks for All Fish, and Mostly Harmless).

The sixth book, The Salmon of Doubt, is the one being published posthumously...

I'm in the middle of watching Dogma now...it makes me happy!

I think by far the best of his movies I've seen...it took me until the third viewing to really understand it...but it's smartly written and thought provoking and funny as hell!

Plus, I think the Matt and Ben combination in this one is pretty good. Although I haven't figured out why Chris Rock plays the angry black man in so many movies lately...but maybe that's just my misperception

I stand corrected, having completely forgotten about Mostly Harmless... and not being able to remember the title of 'Salmon of Doubt'

I just got a trilogy in four parts on my bookshelf... and well-thumbed it is too

I used to have the Bob Peale poster over the bed in my room when I was a teenager!

I read The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency as well, but it didn't do as much for me...

On another note, "e" by Matt Beaumont made me wet my pants it was so funny...

Crdit where Credit is due...

Piers Anthony said (some ten years before Douglas Adams published anything,) that he was very poor in math which accounted for him stuffing four or more books into a trilogy. He still considers the Xanth series a Trilogy at twenty some volumes.
