this pic which has been on my refrigerator.

The caption reads: "A Seal at the New England Aquarium in Boston seemed a bit perplexed as a rather small tiger stopped by for a visit yesterday. In the tiger's outfit was 2-year-old Ari Streeter of Newton, who apparently just could not wait until tomorrow to don his Halloween costume."

This is from the Boston Globe, last year.

Awwwwwww.....

As funny as it sounds, I got a whopping crush on BR because of that AV. And, AJ, just so you don't go on a ridiculous rampage, I am not a pedofile, I am a Starfish.

Perhaps I should change back?

I have saved that pic, mouse. I loved it! Starfish, it was my avatar that finally did it? I've been waiting for you to fall for me all this time...I should have used the fish av sooner! Timing. Timing is everything.

'ola, mamacita! I was forced to eat the entire pint of ice-cream by myself! Where'd you disappear to? I am in dairy overload. Pass the cake...I need some fiber.

Right. I'll take the enticing dream any day! Speaking of dreams, I am headed for Sleepy Town.

I'll tune in tomorrow for another day of "As the Lit Board Turns".

but before I go, I'll leave you with this...

Ah, chocolate! It is evil but nice!:)

Your AV, you enjoy the ballet?:) And your signature is fine.

an illustration from The Goblin Market

There are several illustrated versions of this story. Here is a beautiful example of one of them:

Of course, I love this:)

Figs to fill your mouth,
Citrons from the South

There is something about the figs that make me think things, perhaps?:)

They are such a fruit:)

this is one of my favourite passages:

"Golden head by golden head,
Like two pigeons in one nest
Folded in each other's wings,
They lay down, in their curtained bed:
Like two blossoms on one stem,
Like two flakes of new-fallen snow,
Like two wands of ivory
Tipped with gold for awful kings."

and is the inspiration for the first illustration I posted, I believe. I used to read this poem aloud for people. After reading it I found that I thought in that rhythm for a long time afterward. It has such an addictive cadence!
