Hats off to UncleJ

No pictures could do this work of art justice. Its face is beautiful spalted maple, with a stripe of black cherry between it and the mahogany back. Every small detail on this guitar was lovingly crafted.
And the sounds... OMG!!! It so toneful, warm, clear, rich, birght. It is so many things. I dont think it can make a bad sound. Lord knows I tried all night last night to find the sucky tones every guitar has. Except this one. It sounds great at any volume and any tone setting. It has a totally unique voice yet still sounds familiar and comfortable.
The feel and playability! I can play this one better than any of my others and I have barely had it a day and a half. I have had NO alone time with it at all. It plays so fast and accurately it scares me.
It is officially the best guitar I have ever played, much less owned. And I have played guitars that cost many thousands of dollars.

I am SO tired. I have taken the guitar everywhere I went yesterday and today. If I could sit down I was playing it. I was up past 3 am and got up today at 8am. I am going to actually go to bed.
Rest assured I will be back to this thread in the morning. I really wish everyone could see it in person, because it is as much a wrok of art as it is an instrument.

It was so cute

BB napped on the way back from Austin yesterday. We'd had a very full weekend. For awhile, while I drove, I held his hand.... and even in his sleep, his fingers were twitching -- LOL -- He was DREAMING about playing his guitar....

Hey proud papa....you are absolutely glowing! I'm very happy for you, and I look forward to hearing you play very soon. I'll be with T. Friday through Tuesday, will you be playing anywhere near him? I thought there was something going on that we'd talked about before, but I can't remember now.

Well, as anxious as I am to see more pics, I think I can wait until you're ready to take a break from playing. I'm learning to be patient and that some things really are worth the wait.
