I recently bought Anal Explorer butt plug/stimulator mainly for prostate play, and it felt like it could work quite nicely. I also bought it to stretch & 'train' the anal area so that a larger butt plug I own will feel more comfortable. The Anal Explorer has a bulb, much like a blood pressure cuff has, to inflate the butt plug. I used a good amount of lube, and it didn't take much squeezing with this bulb to reach what I consider a nice, 'full' feeling, and the vibrations feel quite nice, as well. Unfortunately, when I removed it, there were blood streaks on it! It also made me need to 'relieve myself.' For safety reasons, I checked & there was no blood when I went to the bathroom. What's going on, and how do I prevent it in the future? Many thanks for any advice.

Its not that uncommon. Start with something smaller and go slower would be my suggestion. About that urge to relieve? I always do an enima before PLANNED anal sex - of couse there's always those - hmmmmm, maybe we should..... days. lol But if you're self indulging I would highly recommend one! Some people really get off on enimas.

Blood from anal penetration means that there were tears in the tissue of the rectum. Trace amounts of blood, while not good, are not necessarily life-threatening. (especially in self-play, things would be different if you had a partner) If you were to continue to bleed afterwards, then that means the tears were much larger.

What to do to prevent this? Either use more lube, or don't go quite so "full." Remember, the fuller the feeling, the more you are stretching the tissue. I know that feeling of fullness can be a wonderful one, but sometimes you have to back off a bit.

Also, if you remove an item from the anus and notice blood, it is best to give your body a couple of days to heal.

The advice is good, but I don't get off on enemas.

The idea isn't to get off from them...emptying yourself out first would prevent some of the feeling you're getting after anal play, and make things "cleaner" overall
It's more preperation than play :D

Your advice is always good, Chele. Thank you. I was actually rather amazed at how large the plug had gotten when I removed it. I had squeezed the 'inflator bulb' only twice and, to my eyes, the plug looked VERY large (though the opinions of others who've used butt plugs may differ from mine).

As for allowing the anus to heal, more good advice...though it means no fun for that same time period. :(

be careful and start out slow. there are actually no sensory nerve fibers in the rectum past the anal sphincter area. (the awesome sensations that are received during anal sex have more to do with prostate/vaginal/uteran stimulation.) this means that you would not 'feel' a tear that far up so you wouldn't realize that you were tearing yourself until you see the blood later.

Ouch.

seriously spoken,
may be you suffer simply piles.

Anyway, all anal bleeding should be seen by a md.
Piles are an insignificant reason but sometimes there are other reasons...you got it?

I always deflate the balloon before removing it. Much less uncomfortable that way.

Thanks for the tip! :)
