Blinky the Three Eyed Fish

Add fish to the huge list of things chevette knows nothing about. ;)

I'm disappointed that there were no pics of the 3-eyed fish...

I am so fucking sleepy right now, oh my god...

BP has maintained that Gulf seafood is safe, saying in a statement, "Seafood from the Gulf of Mexico is among the most tested in the world, and, according to the FDA and NOAA, it is as safe now as it was before the accident."

BP said it was safe, so it must be safe.

Right?

I'm sorry I lied and there were no three eyed fish. Just no eyed shrimp. Still I think this is a teachable moment (you're welcome miles) and maybe we need to be keeping track and properly regulating these things since it's not like these things instantly go away.

The locals clain that three eyed fish were rare or unheard of prior to this.

I'm not saying we shouldn't drill for oil. I think we should. However I think there is good reason for there to be regulations and for the regulations to be strict enough to make something like this next to impossible. Oh and that if it does happen that someone has a plan to stop it.

We need to drill for the oil (drill baby, drill), and there has to be enough oversight and regulation to make sue what happened two years ago never happens again.

BP should be paying a % their EBITDA to a managed fund until the cleanup is complete. How do we know if $7B is enough? This is going to be an issue for years for come. It is in the aftermath of a massive event like this one that the behavior of the industry will be changed.

I think BP got off really easy.

Where are the righties clamining that Obama shouldn't have shut down the gulf for a few months while this got unfucked?
