Jasmine Carmicheal had never had much luck in relationships. It wasn't because she was hideously ugly or anything. Quite the opposite actually, it was because she'd always been a very pretty girl. Even when she was younger, she'd been said to be 'so cute' or 'such a pretty little girl, she'll be a heartbreaker one day'. Anybody might think that but it was the opposite, the guys always fucked her, then left.

So Jasmine had been determined not to date for a long time. She'd even played with the idea of just being a nun. Her best Allison had convinced her to go out on this one little date before promising herself to celibacy. "It'll be great." She'd said, "He's friends with my boyfriend and you guys seem like you're two peas in a pod."

Ha! She'd have to see it to believe it.

So now, Allison, Jasmine, and Allison's boyfriend were on their way to pick up her blind date. Jasmine was dressed in club wear, the club wear in question was a simple Hendrix Draping Mini Dress. About the only thing it showed off were her toned legs. Sighing, it was clear Jasmine wasn't looking forward to this. She didn't even know the guy's name and Allison was being a bitch and refused to tell her. She tapped on the side of the car door impatiently, getting slightly anxious. It wasn't like she was nervous or anything, because Jazzy never got nervous when it came to going out on dates, she was hot and she knew it.

The problem was that she didn't know how exactly hot this guy was. Yeah, sure Allison said he was hot. However, they would have said anything to get Jasmine on a date, as long as she was out of the dorm room. She did promise herself she would stop basing all of her dates on something shallow on looks though.

She would go through with this date no matter who the guy was. He could've been Jack the fuckin ripper for all she knew and she would've gone through with it, just to prove that she could get back into the dating scene again. Finally, Allison's boyfriend who she called sugah or just Allen, pulled up to the driveway and honked his horn.

Jasmine hadn't looked out the window yet, she wasn't sure if she should look out the window. She didn't want to seem too anxious and at the same time, she didn't want to seem like she didn't care. Even though, truth be told she didn't care. This was probably not going to work anyways. For instance, if he was sexy he would probably be egotistical and talk about himself and himself alone. If he were geeky looking or ugly, he'd probably not talk enough leaving there to be room for awkward silence.

Thats just how life went. She'd never seen one guy who had the combo deal going on, a great personality and incredibly hot.

"Here he comes." Allison said, squealing.

"Gosh, Allie if you're so excited why aren't you sitting in the back? You can take my place, I don't mind." Jazzy said, giving her friend a smart ass remark. Allie rolled her eyes.

"Hey dude, get in the car. We're running a little late." Allen said, through the window, waving his friend towards the backseat before mouthing 'shes a hottie', then made some lewd gesture.

Great, so if things didn't work out, she'd be a one night stand. Yeah, Jasmine wasn't looking forward to this date at all.

Jasmine knew from the beginning that she wasn't going to be enjoying this date just because it was a blind date. Blind dates always ended up being a catastrophe. Now that her older brother was added in the mix, she definitely knew that this was going to be a terrible blind date, no questions asked. Allison couldn't have know Jasmine had an older brother though, because Allison never talked about him.

Hell, they didn't even get along anymore. The last time they did, she was 10 and he was 17 . Why would she talk to her best friend about her brother that she was always fighting with ever since she could remember. The only bonus was that Allison was right, he was hot and he did have a good personality, but that was only when you didn't piss him off.

Clearing her throat, she held her hand out as if she didn't know who he was. She didn't want to embarass her best friend by saying, 'hey this isn't going to work, my date is brother.'

"Hi, I'm Jasmine." She smiled, waiting for him to do something, anything. Her eyes pleaded with him to play along if only for their friends benefit. There was another good thing about this date, she wouldn't have to worry about it being a one night stand or some loser calling her every other day then hanging up.

"So, Jasmine how old are you? Allen didn't tell me much about you....just that you were hot."

"Im 19, you?" She asked, while forcing down the urge to puke. He did not just call her hot, had he? Yeah, she knew this was for the benefit of Allison and her boyfriend... but still, disgusting! There was another long awkward silence before Jasmine decided to talk again.

"Sooo, Allison hasn't really told me much about you, what do you do? Likes dislikes? " She said while playing with the hem of her black dress. Hearing her phone make the little twinkly sound it made when she got a text, Jasmine pulled out her phone as Dan talked.

Isnt he cute, what do you think?

Jazzy looked up at Dan, smiling and nodding as she pretended to listen to him before texting Allison back.

Dunno, he seems pretty boring to me, doubt thisll work out

She pressed send and Allison giggled,"Hey Dan, Jazz seems to think you're an incredibly boring guy, I don't think you're impressing her very much."

Jasmine fought back a giggle while thinking, 'You don't know the half of it'

"I'm a personal trainer. What about you? Are you at university with Allison?"

"Um, I'm a sophmore at UCLA. It's a family school, I think everyone in my whole family has gone there. I'm a cheerleader, majoring in fashion design." Jasmine said with a shrug. She'd said all this before Allison had interrupted them exclaiming exactly what Jazzy had said in her text.

"Who says 'Jazz' was it, has impressed me?? Besides I do all my entertaining at the end of a date. I'm sure Allen has told you stories from our university days."

Ah, there was her good ol arrogant brother. She was sure she'd lost him for a minute during the midst of their fake 'getting to know you' session. He was actually being nice to her for once...which she supposed is how you were supposed to act on a first date, provided it wasn't with one of your relatives.

"No, I don't think he has told me, otherwise I wouldn't be able to say you were boring, now would I? Besides, who say's I'll let you...'entertain' at the end of the night?" She retorted, right before he'd asked his question to Allen. From the rearview mirror she could see Allison glaring at her giving Jasmine the 'give him a chance' look. Jasmine only rolled her eyes as Allen talked about where they were going while she looked out of the window of the car.

"Well I hope there's some clubs near this restaurant. Jazzy looks like she's got her dancing shoes on,"

Jasmine looked up at Dan then back down at her shoes. They were dancing shoes...sort of. They were her 'come fuck me' shoes that she normally wore on dates because thats where it normally ended.

"Mhm, I think theres that club right next to it, Sinful something or other." Jasmine said, knowing this because she normally used her Friday nights to go clubbing.

As Jasmine got out of the car, she raised her eyebrow. A mexican food place? She could've easily taken herself to get Mexican food, she didn't see why she needed to be on a date with her brother to get Mexican food. Shaking her head, she turned to Allison.

"This is your idea of a good restaurant for a blind date?" Jasmine said, stifling her own laughter.

Then again, Jasmine was used to guys trying to impress her with flash and style, not simple and sweet. Allison shrugged her shoulders, "It was Allen's idea. Said he didn't want spend a fortune on a date that may or may not work out."

But at least she would've gotten good food. She wasn't a big fan of Mexican food. Oh, she liked it but that was the problem right there. She liked it, no loved it but she never wanted to stop eating and seemed like a pig and good god, it was a nightmare!

Even though this was her brother, she still didn't want to act out of the ordinary around her best friend.

"Sinful?? That sounds like a lap dancing club Jasmine. You sure your not trying to drag us into your favourite strip joint,"

Was he calling her a whore? That almost sounded like he was calling her a whore. "Aw, but you're a guy. Don't fellas get off on that sorta thing? A chick taking them to a strip joint?" She said, as though she'd said nothing out of the ordinary.

She knew if she kept it up though, she'd be treating him like her older brother.

"Trying to get me drunk, so you can entertain me Dan?" She teased but took the tequila shot anyways as he made a toast. "Cheers." Jazzy said before drinking down the shot in one gulp.

Dan looked at his sister, their teasing was moving into dangerous territory. "Well I didn't say I wouldn't enjoy it," he laughed. "As long as your the girl who strips for me," he added as an afterthought.

Jasmines eyes nearly bulged out. Was her brother actually taking this seriously? She couldve sworn he was flirting with her. Then again, she had wanted him to play along, hadn't she? Which meant, she couldn't get freaked out if he did start flirting with her, it wasn't serious.

"Who me? Never! Are you sure you haven't been telling her any of our frat party stories?"

"No, I just know men." Jasmine said with a shrug. She didn't add that it wasn't necesssary to get her drunk just to sleep with her.

He didn't need to know that.

"Oh, I get to pick huh? Hmmm...." She looked thoughtful,"Can we have some rum and coke please?"

Allison raised her eyebrow at Jazzy who merely shrugged. She couldn't help that the guys in her family had been avid drinkers. "The men in my family drink." she explained

She glanced at her menu and chose the simplest appetizer on the menu."Can I have a bowl of tortilla chips and guacamole?"

Jazzy turned back to Dan,"So you like Mexican food? What's your favorite?" In the back of her mind she was counting down how long until the date ended.

"erm nachos and fajitas......that's why I ordered them."

Jasmine clenched her fists. If she hadn't known that wasn't his favorite food, she'd have thought he was being an asshole. It was a good thing they were related and she already knew that her brother was an asshole...or at least, he'd always been one to her.

However, she continued to play stupid. "Well, just because you order them doesn't necessarily make them your favorite. You could've been in the mood for Nachos and fajitas and your favorite could've been a carne asade burrito."

She turned her attention to the waitress who had brought her chips and guacamole. "I'll have a taco salad, thank you."

"So you're a cheerleader, Jazzy? I'll have to try and keep up with you on the dance floor. I guess you're pretty flexible then," Dan said adding a cheeky wink.

Jasmine felt that urge to puke again. Was he trying to insinuate something, gross, gross, incredibly gross! Allison and Allen seemed to be quiet and focused on their friends conversation. To keep up with Dan and to make him even more uncomfortable then he'd made her she gave her usual response to that question.

"Oh yeah, I can twist and turn my body in all...different...positions." She smirked, having said the last three words, slow and seductively while emphasizing positions.

"You got any brothers or sisters Jasmine, or are you an only child?"

"I wish..." she muttered, "I have one older brother and two older sisters. What about you?"

She dipped her chips in guacamole while trying to think of her own normal questions for a date, "So you're not much of a dancer yet, you want to take me to club. I still think you want to get me drunk and take advantage of me in my drunken state." Jasmine said playfully.

"Yeah, I've got one bratty little sister. We are always arguing and fighting though, but I love her deep down."

Jasmine forced herself not to flush just to keep up with the whole acting thing. She had a hard time believing that her older brother loved her, the way he treated her sometimes really pissed her off. She wasn't even sure why she was feeling embarassed. It wasn't like he meant love-love. He meant love in a brotherly sort of way.

"That's sweet." She said, for a moment they had one of those 'moments' where they stared at each other in the eye like in a romance novel or movie, which of course caused Jasmine to look down, blushing. She dipped another chip in her guacamole and took a bite.

"Well I'm sure I've got a few moves I could show you Jazzy. Judging from what Allison told me to get me to agree to this date, I wouldn't even have to get you drunk to take advantage."

Jasmine nearly choked on her chip with her eyes wide. She almost snapped at him about his sexual lifestyle, but then remembered that Allison had told her absolutely nothing about Dan and if she was going to pretend to be a blind date, she had to pretend to know nothing.

"Well, according to your earlier comments; its not like you're exactly mister innocent yourself."

Just then, the waitress came with their main courses and Jasmine took a bite of her taco salad.

"Thankyou, and could we get two more tequilas and two more rum and cokes please."

If he wasn't her brother she really would've thought he was trying to get her drunk. Thank god he was her older brother. She giggled and rolled her eyes, "I'm sticking with my theory." She took another bite of her salad, then slowly licked her lips. She kept reminding herself that this was just for looks, " So what kind of music do you like Dan?"

That was a neutral first date question.
