Today I came across the story "Too Fast for Love?" by shesgot_spunk, and I was shocked to find that it is a blatant plagiarism of a Twilight-inspired fanfiction story I have read on a Twilight fansite. I thought perhaps it was the same author, just changing the character names to post it here, but the original author had no idea. Sadly, the true author of the story, titled Never Sleep in a Strange Man's bed, has now removed it from fanfiction.net due to this, but at least it remains on Twilighted.net. As an author myself, I find it absolutely appalling, and I just wanted to get some feedback here.
Has anyone copied one of your works like this? And how quickly does the site respond to complaints about plagiarism? The true author of the story is afraid to let people know it was found here, simply because she's afraid that Literotica will value the hits to the site more than the originality of the writing. I've been a member here for quite a while, but I've simply never come across something like this here.

Have the author contact Laurel by PM here. Giver her a copy of the URL to the original story and the one here. MY guess is the one here will disappear rather quickly. Plagiarism is not tolerated her in the least and the authors mean more than the hits believe me when it comes to something like this.

ETA: You can find her in one of the sticky threads at the top of this forum. She is one of the site owners.
