A real-world plot bunny occurred to me recently: between the Ashley Madison breach, and the government breach that leaked information on thousands of people with US secret clearances, it occurred to me that it would be very easy for, say, the chinese to scan both sets of data and come up with lists of people with clearances who could be blackmailed.

I'd started to write a story in which a guy in a troubled marriage is approached by a hot asian who offers to supply him with money and dream women (based on his ashley profile) in exchange for classified information. It quickly turned into threesome scenes. I didn't quite like the way it was going and abandoned it. The plot could end with the guys comeuppance, or repentance, or even have him plot twist his way into a controlling position over his blackmailers. I've decided not to finish it because I'm avoiding married characters in my stories and because I prefer stories where the male doesn't get totally fucked over in the end. But the idea itself is very "real world" and I suspect something like this has or will happen someday.

Anyway: the idea is free to be used.

IRL once the target has handed over their first packet of classified info the blackmailer OWNS them and the honeypot can and will be capped and moved to the next target. Then the target's only options for escaping punishment for treason are 1) disappear, 2) craftily feed bogus info to setup their controller, or 3) confess and hope the FBI lets them go double. Rotsa ruck. Anyway, making this erotic requires massive suspension of disbelief.
