I think, on the right person, it can look kind of cool. I was just wondering, have any of you done up your claws in a nightshade? I am curious if it stains your cuticles really bad. I don't want to do it if it does! Any experiance would be helpful! Thanks

I have worn black polish before and never had a problem with stains.
Rub cuticle cream on your fingers first and any polish on your skin should come off easy.
Put a clear coat of polish under the black and you will not stain the nails either.

My son...
...used to use it all the time. Going through his Goth stage I guess. Met a nice girl at the private school and stopped dressing that way. Go figure. Oh...no stains and my 13 yo stepdaughter inherited the polish. Here we go again...

The only trouble I have had with any nail polish is when you add diamenties or transfers to your nails. Then it can be hard to get off. Black isnt a problem, and if you add a couple of nail jewels to it, black does look stunning. But get a good quality one though, because after a few days cheap black looks just that.

Yes, I have. For my Halloween costume. I have a great witch outfit that I used to wear about 20 years ago. As part of the costume, I'd get black nail polish and add a coat or two of the clear polish with glitter in it. Looked cool, took awhile to get off only because of all the layers I put on. Never stained though since I started with a base coat.

I am currently wearing a dark purple nail polish. I have had blue and I have had black. I prefer the purple. The BF finds it sexy that I wear the dark colors because it is different from the typical pastel pinks, airbrushed styles, and french manicures everyone else we know sports. He likes that I'm an individual (Odd, strange and sometimes weird individual) So anything abnormal that I find myself doing is sexy...to him.

When I used to wear the claws of Death, I had them done in a Black and tiger stripe design. Ultra cool looking!
I had them professionally done and ontop of fake nails, so no big deal with the staining and all. If It Worries you just put a generous slap of clear on first. Should make it handy dandy to get off!
