Notice how this is worded, because the race of the officer and the suspects should not matter. But it does under certain circumstances.

Why does his race matter?

Notice the emphasis on 'unarmed' and they are referred to as 'occupants' not suspects like in most cases.

I am new to the forum, and I am stunned by this whole focus solely on black people.
From my experience, discrimination is an equal opportunity beast - a person who discriminates towards one person tends to discriminate towards others as well.

I have no bias (pos. or neg.) or preoccupation with any race (hers, their, mine, his, yours or african-americans in particular), I try not to seem self-righteous, but this forum dynamic is so weird for a newbee. I keep wondering : do ppl. in this forum have a certain history with each other, and they are trying to get at each other by posting incendiary things ?

Who the f. are these people who are putting out these racist posts ?
But hey, Paul Hellyer said the tall whites are coming - so I guess they'll have to start worrying about someone else.

Sorry, I was not referring to this thread (clearly my english skills are not 100% to express myself clearly)- hope I didn't offend anyone who had no such intent here.

I too did not mean to imply anything about your English. You are easy to read. My question about if you are in the states is simply about our news. You cannot hardly watch the news without many headlines that seem to be designed to instill fear, many of these related to black men. It's pervasive.

I know you did not imply such a thing abt. my english ( I read some of your posts you don't appear to be that sort of person)- I was only trying yo clarify myself.

I am obviously not in the States but I am an avid consumer of US media (mainstream and alternative). So yes, I am a familiar with the headlines, but from them, I would have expected a similar focus on muslims etc. (ps - the last issue is so complex given Charlie Hebdo, etc, the rise of isis etc. so I cringe as I am writing these, I don't want to be misinterpreted. I have no personal opinion on it I don't even want to go there)

In a twisted bizarre way, JBJ makes a service to the african-american community.

There are a couple of 'subtle'racists here in this forum (not so subtle, if you ask me). I notice that, among other things, they have a pattern of mocking certain individuals related to or who raise the issue but as a newcomer to the forum you don't pick it up immediately.
(ps not referring to you, Sean, aware it was a one-off gibe just made fun of my style)

Whereas JBJ - he is so out-there and single-minded….he immediately puts the new forum member on alert… that, although this forum is generally nice, there are few exceptions (users) to the rule.
