Last week, a 3-year-old boy was shot and killed. Today, a 1-year-old boy was shot and killed.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 1-year-old boy was killed and his mother was injured in a shooting in Englewood Saturday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The child was in a carseat in the back of the vehicle when he was shot.

Chicago violence: 47 shot, 12 fatally including minors in Chicago weekend shootings

CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least twelve people including three minors, have been killed and 35 others were wounded by gun violence in Chicago since Friday evening.

A 10-year-old girl was shot in the head by a stray bullet in the Logan Square neighborhood Saturday night around 9:40 p.m, police said. She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office hasn't released details about her death.
