At least to the black community they don't. For the years 2017-2018 inclusive 15,382 blacks were murdered in the United States. This is out of a total of 29,698 murders total. Blacks accounted for approx. 52% of all murder victims. Where the race of the offender was known blacks committed 13,191* murders. Blacks committed 56% of ALL murders over that time period where the race of the offender was known.
Virtually all murders (98%) are same race murders. Blacks murder blacks, whites murder whites, etc. Those relationships have remained constant for over 3 decades now.
We are treated to all of this talk of "racists" and "white supremacists" preying on the black community, bull shit. As a matter of fact if those few chuckleheads that do exist out there could read and reason they'd see that the black community is doing a bang up job, quite literally, of killing each other. Those "racists" that do exist should get behind the demand that blacks be allowed to "police" their own communities.
Considering that blacks are committing ~56% of all murders in the US, AND that they represent only 13% of the population, AND they are murdering each other, it would seem to me that anyone who is serious about "Black Lives Matter" would focus their attention on the black community. Demonstrating and pointing their fingers at whites is nothing more than a deflection of the realities that are taking place in the black community, realities that whites have nothing to do with.
*the numbers don't precisely line up. One offender might have killed multiple victims and one victim might include multiple offenders. ie. in a drive by shooting where there are 4 occupants in the car but only one shooter and one victim the other three occupants are considered to be murder offenders as well.
