Had an interesting conversation with an acquaintance of mine. She’s bi and she was talking about how she’s finally given up on dating straight men as she just can’t relate to them, so she’s only dating bi guys and gals from now on. Now I’m bi as well (before you ask: she lives on a different continent, seven year age gap and while we have similar hobbies, we have very different lifestyles. We just like talking to each other) and I can kind of relate. I do tend to get along best with other bi folk.
So I figured, what about some ideas regarding bi characters who get frustrated with the straights and even the gays and try to find partners with their same orientation?
Example: Woman has been dating a guy and things are going okay. He’s not great in bed but he’s okay. Then one night she finds out he’s cheating on her. She confronts him and he says it’s fine: she’s bi so she figured she had a woman on the side and she can join in with the two of them if she wants.
She dumps him, then sets up a new dating profile: bi women and men only. She starts chatting with one woman who is a bit older who admits she wound up divorcing her husband because of his casual biphobia. They start chatting and plan a meetup…and it’s her ex’s mom!
