I have a friend who is going to celebrate a birthday on May 1st. I, however, cannot be there to celebrate with him but I would like to send him something that would make his day.

I know he's got a bit of a sweet tooth and so he likes cookies. Any websites or any place that you have used before that you could recommend?

Any help would be appreciated. :D

Why not make cookies yourself?

I have a lot of friends who are on the road quite a bit, and getting home-baked goods absolutely makes their week. There are some really good cookies, like Thumbprint Cookies, that keep very well and hold up during shipment.

I like to send homemade cookies, homemade breads, all packaged in something he can use again...instead of the usual tins, get a nice box, like a wooden chest, and fill that. Line it with a nice dishtowel in masculine colors, so he can use it when he is done with the cookies.

That homemade touch always means SO much. :rose:

I agree 100% with Sheath. And I've done that for family and friends.

But I have also sent cookies to my daughter from Cheryl and Co. several times, and they are truly yummy. I know they're an Ohio-based company, but they have a website (cherylandco.com) and they send everywhere.

Yum, I might to need to make some cookies today...

Thank you sheath and bobsgirl. :D

I think I will have to pull out the baking stuff this week! Awesome, awesome idea!

Just a little note, if you're going to send (mail) cookies, make sure you put them into a tupperware bowl or something that will be as airtight as possible. And beware of chocolate in the mail, it will melt.

'm a college student and my mom sends me baked things sometimes. The first couple of times she didnt think to do that and everything was extremely dried out our melted.

I'm also a college student and my next door neighbor's mother sends her baked goods all the time. She makes the best brownies. Whenever she sends them she puts bread in the package.. i don't quite understand why but she says that helps them not to get stale.

sending him a pair of your panties and a dirty story ?
hehe j/k

rebuying a CD that he owns that you know he loves, but is scratched or is in ill playing condition.

or make him a mix cd of songs you both like for car rides.

find a free event around you (they're advertized everywhere, just have to know where to look) that you think he'd enjoy.

is he into his body? does he have a certain shampoo/shaving cream etc that he likes but ocasionally spoils himself with something else? but 'em a tube of something he's low on. Does he need a new toothbrush? How about something for the kitchen tool that'll make his life easier but still let him feel like a man lol

Nips of alcohols that he likes? They're only a few dollars and they're good enough for a shot or two. nice for a casual drinker, for a movie at home or to put in coffee in the morning.

something for the car is nice, something trivial that he'd like or need. a designed air freshner with some funny print on it that he'll get a laugh out of? maybe a sticker that you can picture him saying?

nonsence carepackage: a tube of toothpaste, some coughdrops, something sweet, something salty. Just little samples of his favorties candies or chips ... something from your town/state that he misses or doesn't have. some pens... make it random and funny. some photos that you decorated or put in a silly frame , shoe laces... the more random yet useful the better :)
( I send people maple syrup when I can't see them, they LOVE it )

think of the little things, they're always the best thoughtful gifts as "Just a thought" :)

If you deicde to not go the homemade route I once received a cookiegram. Basically an edible flower arrangement. I almost hated to eat them. Have seen they can be ordered online and I'm not sure they get much better then Ms. Feilds cookies.

If you pack cookies in a Zip type bag and then stack them in popcorn they do quite well. Not only can they eat the cookies but the popcorn too.
I wrap the box in a celo bag then put in the popcorn then the cookies then more popcorn. Tye the bag then close the box. I usually send more then just the popcorn and cookies so the rest cushions the food box.
Make sure the food box cant move around inside so the cookies dont bang around.
Dont forget a sexy pair of boxers or briefs, guys like them and like the idea of you thinking of them wearing them.
Have fun!
